The new remodel has not helped this store at all. While it has been steadily gone down hill over the last several years - some of the new employees at this store are truly awful. I've had some pretty terrible interactions at this store in the last couple of months - enough to make me not want to step foot in this store again - and to avoid Kroger at all costs. The prices at Kroger are already really high. And with bad produce, spoiled meat and badly dented cans - putting up with nasty employees makes me want to spend my money elsewhere. I was recently overcharged for some beef that I bought. So I went back to the store to get a refund for the overage. I was owed $9.88. I was overcharged $4.94 per pack. I explained to the woman at the front desk that I had been overcharged for the two packs. She gets out her cell phone to use her calculator to add it up, frowns, tries to add it up again and then tells me that she's just going to give me $9. When I point out that I was owed $9.88 she got very angry and trusts her head and phone across the counter into my face and said that she was just gonna give me $9. The extreme anger for kindly asking for my full refund was astonishing. I felt intimidated and backed away from the counter. And I didn't say anything else about my owed money. Yup, I excepted less than my full refund because the clerk couldn't add, even with a calculator and then got angry at me because of it. And the horrible grammar?!?! Unbelievable that this person is the face of the front desk. Truly unbelievable. But yesterday was the last straw for me. I have had a young lady bag for me 3 different times. T. apparently hates having a job and takes it out on the customers. This young lady will actually glower at you if you try to smile at her. Fine. I don't have to make friends but it's what she does to the groceries that's the tipping point for me. The first time she packed well over $200 worth of groceries into 2 reusable bags, while glowering at me. This was after I said to her, "Not too heavy, please. Thank you, I appreciate it." When I got to the car I was gobsmacked at what I saw. Milk and juice and gallons of water on top of eggs and bread and produce. It was obviously done on purpose. I repacked them at the car and went home. Then I got her again. I said the exact same thing and she did the exact same as the time as before. Glowering and then packed my bags in a way to ruin as much of the groceries as possible. That time I went to the front desk to complain - but when I saw that it was the clerk that yelled at me for wanting my full refund I just turned around and left. Again, I repacked my groceries at the car. Well, yesterday I ended up with her as a bagger again. This time I didn't ask her to pack them lightly, I didn't want to trigger her. This time she was on her phone! She had ear buds in and was actively talking on the phone. I heard her say, "So, did you ever find some smoke?" to whoever she was chatting with on the phone. The groceries started to back up - I was helping put the heavy things on the bottom (as I always do - I don't mind helping bag my own groceries or bagging them on my own, as I often have to do at this store). The cashier tells her that it's backing up but she just ignored her. When my cart is packed I start to leave I notice she did it to me again! So I said her, "I'm going to have to repack all of this. It's packed with heavy stuff on top of my produce." She just said, very disdainfully, "Have a good day." This time I went to the front desk and told a clerk I saw there. And then as I left I saw a manager, just as the clerk was coming to inform her of the complaint, and I told the manager what had transpired. Then, as I'm leaving to go outside, another manager comes to the manager I complained to and tells her that she needs to discuss T. with her. To which the manager replied that she was just going to find her and talk to her. The way they spoke it seemed fairly obvious that wasn't going to be her first 'talk'. There are some great employees that have been here for years. And a couple new ones that are awesome too. But they have some really terrible newer employees now and it makes me want to take my money elsewhere. read more

This used to be a really nice location! It used to be my go to grocery store, but not anymore. Slowly, but surely this place is devolving into Walmart. Dirty and unorganized. And absolutely no checkers on a weekday evening. Just a few days before Christmas no less! There was literally a line around the store for self check out. Meanwhile, employees who look like crackheads are milling about with apparently nothing to do. If I wanted to work as a grocery store checker, I would put in an application! Got there, called number and then the lady comes out later and ask if I have an order. Phone number said they can't find it. I walk in to ask and she' said she's getting it ready. Say what? I just found out that my Kroger used robots to do my click list order and of the robots shorted my order. I requested 3 bags of kroger grilled chicken strips and only got 2. And the robots also shorted me a bag of frozen cherries. How do I know it was robots, my order was packed in blue plastic bags! Krogers appears to be shorting their employees of hours and screwing up our orders. And to top it all off, I was charged for 3 bags of chicken and 2 bags of cherries!! My review is based off of one thing and one thing only. Well, technically three, but they're all synonymous. This particular Kroger is open until 1 A.M. But so help you God if you try to enter this building after 9 P.M. The entire right side of the store, that entire entrance is closed down. Okay, fine. Whatever. Go to the left side of the store. BUT WAIT. THERE'S MORE. You cannot walk into the store as it is set up to operate. No, no, that would be far too easy! The doors are barricaded by random bread shelves or signs found lying about somewhere. So you must go in where everyone comes out. To get into the store you must bob and weave through people scanning their items. You have to Bruce Lee your way around a family of 7, which is made up of 6 children and 1 adult who seems to have lost the ability to care where it is their child is as long as its not near them for any given period of time. You gotta mentally prepare yourself for the war that is entering this store anytime past 9 P.M. Carts are everywhere. You won't even remember what you came for in the first place because you're starting this grocery store rendezvous where you normally finish it and now your entire trip is out of whack. 4 ENTIRE HOURS BEFORE THEY CLOSE. Honestly, if it made any lick of sense I wouldn't have an issue. But it DOESNT. And I have many an issue because of this. Shut down the entire right entrance? Sure, fine, its a big store, gotta keep eyes on the customers to make sure everything is just going swimmingly, (aside from the fact that ya'll just done did the current a disservice by forcing the incoming fish to go against the current but we will save that for later). But to close the set of doors that people typically go into? For that long before you close? What are you hiding? Why must we be forced into this dark, grueling task of fighting our way into this godforsaken wasteland? read more

OK, this Kroger is bonkers awesome. First, it is probably one of the largest Krogers I have ever been to. It is a fancy schmancy Marketplace type Kroger. Fully updated. With a full functioning Fifth Third Bank inside. There is also a large pharmacy area, an area designated specifically for wine, and the usual aisles of groceries. This Kroger sells clothing as well. The wine area is particularly cool. It is enclosed, like its own little building inside Kroger. They have a bar set up for tastings and some specialty bottles available inside. Neat-O. If this Kroger was closer to where I lived, I would frequent it more often for sure. read more

I like the fact that this Kroger has a very large Kosher selection (I'm not Jewish but I appreciate the fact that this is available) and it's occasionally handy that a liquor store is on-site, but other than those two factors, this particular Kroger is pretty awful. I used to live closer to the Kroger at Harper's which is MUCH better in nearly every way, but for the past 5 years I have been living less than 1 mile from this Kroger on Hunt Rd., so I have been trying very hard to get used to it. After 5 years of this Kroger I've pretty much had it. Bottom line: They're regularly out of most of my "regulars". Whoever does their grocery inventory truly needs to work on things. They're out of basic stuff ALL THE TIME. I'm not talking about specialty items or major sale items - I'm talking normal groceries, especially what I call "kid food" - frozen cheese pizza, chicken nuggets, bagel bites, strawberry jelly, 2% chocolate milk, etc. Out. Regularly. It hasn't seemed to matter what day of the week I go nor the time of day. The produce department is generally OK and I've never had any issues with the pharmacy, so that's great. But groceries are the main reason I go and I almost always leave without multiple items from my list. Also, these folks are NOT very on-board with reusable bags or paper bags. Yes, they offer them, but they're often either visibly annoyed about having to use them or very SLOW about it, or they think it's necessary to bag meat in plastic and do this even when I very kindly ask them not to... it's just overall very frustrating nearly every time I go there. read more

Overall: I love this Krogers and it is in my top 3 in the city. The store is massive and has a about every food product you could want or need. Having a Starbucks and a 53rd bank on site is great. The Outstanding: The staff here has always been very nice and helpful. If I ever have a question they do a great job of helping me find the product or finding the answer. I have been to several Krogers. For the most part, I had written the chain off. After several bad experiences at other locations, I was not looking forward to this excursion. This location seems to be far superior than all the rest. The store looks cleaner. Aisles are well lit without the light being harsh. The interior looks like a higher end grocery store. Several employees asked us if we needed help finding anything. Not only did they ask if we needed help, but they actually stop, look you in the eye, and wait for an answer. Not like other places where they keep their heads down, walk fast, and pretend they were concentrating so hard that they didn't see you. One employee even stopped and talked to us for a couple of minutes. I was impressed that they have both a regular and Kosher meat department and bakery. Everything in those departments looked fresh. A very nice selection. The produce section was lacking. Literally, some spots were lacking product. Produce could have been fresher. This location has a Starbucks if you need a little pick me up. This location may even be good enough to occasionally replace a Jungle Jim's run of two. read more

Shalom! This Kroger is not bad at all, it is quite big and has a big Kosher foods area, as well as a very nice international selection and big cheese selection too. The prices are cheaper than in Israel, so each time I fly to Cincinnati, my wife asks me to bring some Bamba snacks, Menosevitch matzahball for the kids and canned gefiltefish for the dog. Staff is nice to the most part, although they are hard to find if you have a question or need to haggle the price down. The weekends are really packed with umpa lumpas, so I have to bring my security along. Self-check can be hectic, but they open a special register for me to get us in and out quickly. Parking lot can be a mess so we park the limo at the far corner, that way we hop on the freeway quickly on our way to CVG. Lastly, while I do like the blue and white in the Kroger logo, it definitely begs for an update, it is 2017 and I'm all into innovation. read more

This is a huge Kroger, with an expansive produce section (want pomelo, star fruit?), gourmet cheese department (mmmm, wheels of brie), sushi bar, large olive and antipasta bar, kosher section, a Starbucks and expanded ethnic food department where you can find unique ingredients. All pluses in my book. There is also a bank, pharmacy and large prepared butchers department. However, with the vast size comes a lot of searching and walking back and forth. My husband and I have literally been there nearly 3 hours for one shopping trip. And this place is BUSY. No matter the day or hour, it is packed, as is the parking lot. Those are added stressors that aren't needed. In addition, even with the crowd, there's a call for more open registers. read more

The store itself is great. It's large and has a lot of different products in stock. Great choices and always clean. I enjoy shopping here when I do the shopping myself. Things are easy to find and well payed out. However...... I would not use them for click list. They are very incompetent and do not train their employees well. We have been click listing with Kroger since they started. It's a very good service to use but with this location, they cannot properly fill orders or follow procedures. We have been using this location since they started doing click list and have about 75% bad service. We use their service about every two weeks and since March 2020, every week. I have complained to the store locally and complained to Kroger's main number and nothing seems to be fixed so now I feel it's time for some bad reviews. The issues I am about to report have occurred multiple times And Not just once or twice. -They sub Diet Coke with regular coke, they subbed ancho powder for regular chilly powder. They've subbed white wine for red wine. -They say they are out of stock of something but when I go in, there is plenty on the shelf. This is not true for everything but they have never been out of my wine. I went in and found several boxes of it on the shelf. They said they didn't have sidewalk chalk but went in and found 3-4 boxes right where I thought they would be. They even said once that they were out of their famous summertime popsicles, yes I went in and they had HUNDREDS! -they started using text messages about subs which made us very happy because then we could approve or deny subs right away. but for the last several months, we have not gotten this message. We have gotten reminder texts so they didn't loose our number. When we get the paperwork for the order, it says they did not get a response from the text. Seriously!!!! So for now, we are going to use someone else hopefully they get their crap together. read more

If I could give this location zero stars I would. I go to this location only because it is located closest to my house although today was my last visit. I go shopping and ask the woman at the u scan to scan my Kroger card she sighs and says the scanner hasn't replied in months. I explain to her that I always scan it and I can't remember my phone number used she just walks away and gets another associate. As I wait my two year old son grows impatient and I stand there for five mins to wait for some one who pretends to be a manager. She gets my card scanned and then I noticed the sale price hasn't been taken off. The pretend manager says that it's because I have more than five. I told her no problem I'll take five off! She does that and sale price still isn't applied I tell her my total is still not right. She says the only way to fix it is to void the entire order and rering it at the register next to me, which made no sense but whatever I gave it a try. After reringing the group of associates stand there pointing and laughing so I tell them to send a real manager over. Stephany comes over and was no help finally after almost 15 minutes a lady Karen comes over but doesn't come to help me she stands there and gets the sides of the gossiping associates, when Karen comes I tell her I just want to get out of here she applies the coupon and there was a 9 dollar difference in the price they swore was correct. So I pointed that out and Karen's reply was I have no idea what happened.. and shrugs it off. I said it's fine I won't return and she smirks and they all going back to giving the worst customer service I've ever received. This Kroger is super nice and has a great selection. The layout can be a bit confusing at first, but is easy to follow once you get the hang of it. Every staff member I encountered was friendly and the products are nice and organized. Great deli section with premium meats and cheeses. I actually prefer to shop at this location, even though the Sharonville location is closer to me. read more

This is in relation to the their clicklist. We've been using this service since Kroger stated it. For the first few months we went to the West Chester location as it was the closest to offer the service, never had an issue. Blue Ash Kroger finally offered it and being it's much closer we started going here. After a couple o years using clicklist at this location it's been problem after problem. There's been times I've waited half an hour to get orders because they don't have enough people. Then there's the constant mistakes. In the last 3 months they've forgotten to give me part of our orders 6 times. It's such an ongoing issue we make sure to carefully go over our receipt to ensure it's all there. Each time I need to call them only to have them find the rest in the back and then run up to get it all. Usually they give me a gift card for the trouble. I'd happily let them keep the gift cards if they'd just ensure everything I'm paying for is given to me. Clicklist is a time saving, helpful service but if I'm getting shorted half the time then it's not worth using. Makes me wonder how many times other customers have been missing something and just think they forgot to order it only to have it still sitting at the store. It's not like they've called me once to let me know they still have me items. read more

I guess I'll start off by thanking Whole Foods. Yes... Whole Foods, for bringing up the quality of your grocery experience. Prior to the new wave of fancy WF grocery stores, Kroger used to be what you expected from a grocery store... food, household items, shelves, and some carts. Post WF revolution, people expect more, they want a refined, more cultured adventure through glossy floored aisles of fine cheeses they know nothing about. This Kroger brings that to you without being overly pretentious, but more importantly without the exorbitant mark up you'll find at a Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. read more

I am extremely irritated with some of the workers in the U-scan section of Kroger off Hunt Rd (Blue Ash,OH). It feels like everyone has different "rules" they adhere to or don't. Today this man gave me every reason in the book why he couldn't help me with a mis-priced item which lead me to walking all the way back to the section (at 9 months pregnant), taking a picture of the tag, and finally coming back to where he didn't even give me the sale price (even though it was expired but hadn't been taken down). At that point I had run out of time and patience to ask for management. Typically when I tell someone that a price is wrong, they change it, or have another worker double check the price. Parking lot is terrible. The deli is the slowest and the fresh bakery department is very limited.
