This is one of the best Krogers in Cincinnati! For one thing, it's massive. I believe it may be (or once was) the largest Kroger. It has everything you need and SO much variety in each product. I don't live nearby, so it's not my "regular" Kroger, but I stop in when I am at Crossroads for church. Prices are great and I feel this Kroger is much cleaner and well kept than others. Went to this store today. After checking out I had to exchange an item that I purchased in error. Went to customer service and they exchanged it for me with no problem. Upon leaving the store my cart locked up. Then a security guard wearing a sour expression approached me and demanded that I give him my receipt. As he was looking at it, I told him about the exchange. Then he started going through my bags to see if I had stolen anything. I am a 73-year-old lady who does not steal from Kroger. I wish I had asked for his name. I plan on writing to the company this week along with copies of my receipts. It's too bad that there are not more choices around here for people to buy groceries. I've was a loyal Kroger customer since 1972, the last 4 years at the store on Marburg Avenue. That has now ended. Last week I witnessed a very unpleasant and unprofessional manager named Heather verbally attacking the bakery manager. She was literally berating her about working over her shift, then asked her fill something. The poor lady looked defeated and told this Heather woman that someone had called off and she was doing the best she could. Heather was quick to interrupt her, then walked away leaving the woman in tears. I tried to comfort her and told her I was horrified to see someone treating a fellow colleague in such a manner and she thanked me and asked did I need anything from the bakery. 1) Heather does NOT belong in a management position. 2) Confronting an employee should NEVER take place on the sales floor. 3) I reported her awful behavior to my cashier, who told me Heather was a known bully and another cashier punched her for running her mouth! 4) I asked for the store manager and was told she (Norma) was unavailable. They never asked for my phone number or about my issue. I will be contacting the corporate office in hopes that something is done to stop the abusive behavior. read more

This is one of the super mega Kroger Marketplaces. Not only are you able to shop for your groceries, but you can purchase fine jewelry, visit the Little Clinic, visit the pharmacy, drop off your dry cleaning at one of the Tide Lockers, do your banking, buy clothing, sit and enjoy a beer or wine tasting, or pick up prepared food from such kiosks as chicken, sushi, Starbucks and Rapid Fire Pizza. A gas station is located on the side that faces Chic-fil-A. Not to mention all the other services I missed. We actually ended up at the Kroger on accident. How does one end up at a Kroger on accident? We were in the area, and typed "Rapid Fire Pizza" into our GPS. The one located inside of this Kroger was the closest location. We falsely thought it was located next to the Kroger, not inside of it. When we got there, and realized Rapid Fire was inside, we decided to try it anyway. With an estimated wait time of 12 or 13 minutes given for our pizzas to be done, some of us took that as an opportunity to explore Kroger. The store was clean. Employees seemed available throughout the store. Considering the circumstances (Coronavirus panic buying,) the store was well stocked. The lines for checkout were short for a Saturday. I am talking no more than 3 people per register. When it was time to pay for our pizzas, (as they are paid for at the Kroger registers, not the Rapid Fire kiosk,) we were able to walk right up to one of the self checkout lanes. Despite it being a busy Saturday, there were plenty of carts. Courtesy clerks were retrieving carts when we arrived, as well as when we departed. read more

I originally entered the store in the hopes of finding some free Friday products that had recently been out of stock. I asked Robert about the items and he took the time to check the back and upon seeing it was still out of stock, he offered an alternative. I was highly satisfied with this interaction. He went above and beyond to make sure I got what I came for! My interaction at the seafood counter wasn't unpleasant, I just felt as if the employee felt put out when I asked for my crab legs. Perhaps I had my service bar set high after my interaction with Robert, but it seemed as if the employee barely acknowledged me then just mumbled for me to have a nice day while he was already walking away. I will say, this is not the norm at this store. I typically have such a pleasant experience. For those who haven't been, this store is HUGE! It has everything from fresh produce and seafood to fine jewelry and clothing. I especially love the bar! Who wouldn't like a nice glass of wine as they grocery shop? read more

Trash. You need to be a member to use self checkout. Additionally, twice I have had my carts lock up in the lobby. I spent money, bagged my own shit, and they can't even allow carts in the parking lot? Never again. I tried to be proactive the second time. I asked the night security guy by pharmacy on 7/13 evening " will my cart lock up?" And he had the audacity to say "I don't know. Will it?" Never again. They treat you like criminals. I waited about 10-15 minutes in the self checkout line and not one worker was near by. When I finally saw a worker walking by I kindly asked if they could help me because my screen was frozen. She proceeded to be extremely rude to me and snarky about how she is the only worker and how I need to wait my turn. Absolutely frustrating how someone was being rude to me for asking someone there for help. There was also another group waiting a long time as well so I was just trying to help move things along and letting someone know that we needed help. read more

The largest Kroger in Kroger history opened today in the Oakley neighborhood of Cincinnati. The store is huge if you can't find it here you're better off without it they have a growler station, wine bar, woodfired pizza, burritos, fried chicken, clothing and probably the largest organic produce section of any store around I stopped by after working out but was surprised to see most of the special new stations in the store close at 8pm, maybe because it was opening day? A guy I know who was working behind the craft beer/growler station told me he was told to close at 8 PM while he had tons of people coming up to him wanting to get beer and wine. There are also people in the bistro area asking for fried chicken wraps pizzas and they were told no they closed. read more

This is my weekly grocery store stop, but I'm thinking of switching back to a different grocery store because their produce is ALWAYS out of stock. You can go on a week day or a weekend, at night or during the day, it doesn't matter, they're always out of basic items in the produce and meat section. Last time I was there they were out of large count boneless skinless chicken breast. CHICKEN BREAST. How can you be out of that?? That's a staple. They have the lowest prices and lots of perks like a bar inside, but it's just not worth it if I can't get staple items like broccoli and chicken. read more

Having a wine and beer bar makes this one of my favorite locations. The fact that it is in walking distance of where I work is a wonderful perk too. I haven't had issues not finding any necessary items. So, this is almost the perfect store for me. But I would get rid of the clothing and home goods area. We have been into this store to visit the pharmacy multiple times to fill a prescription for one of our dogs. The medicine is a controlled substance and it is hard to find places to fill it in the quantity we need. Unfortunately, ever time we come here we have a worse experience than the time before. In the last three visits that I can recall, we have been quoted inaccurate pick up times by techs, we have been told our prescription was ready when it wasn't over and over again, we have wasted countless hours waiting in line and sitting around for prescriptions that will never be filled because the medicine isn't even there, etc. This isn't even the most frustrating thing to me, although it is EXTREMELY frustrating. There is no accountability and no one there will take responsibility for anything. I have pointed out the techs in the past few visits who gave me the faulty information and the person I am talking to won't even go speak to them about the incident. The past two times, I have watched the tech walk back and forth over and over again to the pharmacist to ask questions because they don't care enough to just come talk to me themselves. There isn't even a hint of empathy or a apology to be found with these associates. I understand it might not be their fault directly, but there is obviously some break down with this team and they could at least act like they care. When I asked the tech tonight, Jordan, who I could issue a formal complaint with, the pharmacist, Allen, who was a few feet behind him didn't even look at me. Jordan didn't know and had to ask someone else who said that I could call your 1-800 number without even stopping again to acknowledge me. I called the number and stayed on hold the entire drive home and no one ever picked up. As someone who has worked in management for big box retail for over years, I can't imagine ever being in this situation and not trying to at least intervene and apologize. Pathetic. The worst part? I have to go back again tomorrow to try and get this medicine that my dog desperately needs and hope that it will be there while I wait in line and waste my time again. Once this is done, we will travel as far as we need to never come back to this or any Kroger in the future. Im sure no one will read this or care, so we are left to speak through our wallet. My advice to anyone thinking about using this pharmacy, is to look elsewhere. It will save you a lot of time and frustration. read more

Awesome selection, lots of fresh produce. This Kroger location is great. Lots of stuff. It's larger than most Krogers I've been in. The produce section is wonderful with lots of fresh goodies. Good selection of raw nuts/legumes as well. Impressive organic section. Even a large kitchenware area. They have a beer tasting area. You can try some before getting a growler. The registers tend to get a little slow. This is a popular spot, especially on the weekends. And it can also get a little crowded around high-traffic areas (produce/dairy, etc). They do the best they can. I've seen a few pop-up events in the parking lot as well. Overall, good location and great selection. read more

I will forever shop at this location exclusively. This is one of the east side's newer Kroger remodels, and it's amazing. Although parking can be stressful at peak grocery-shopping times, it's worth it for the selection and experience. Every single time I've been at this Kroger, the floors are clean, shelves are stocked, produce is fresh, and of course, prices are unbeatable. As a bonus, there is a Kroger gas station right next to the store, making my weekly grocery shopping and gas fill-up even easier. Prices at the gas station are always low, and even if you don't have enough points to redeem money off, you always get 3 cents off per gallon. I like to save my points up until the end of the month and redeem as much off as possible :) I recently tried click-list at this location, and I was very satisfied with the experience. This week has been crazy busy, and it was a breeze to order my groceries through the app and select a pick-up time. The only downside to this is that because click-list is so popular here, you have to schedule early to get your preferred time slot. Other than that, I showed up within my pick up window and my groceries were promptly brought out to my car and put in my trunk. The employees were very nice and helpful, and let me know if there were substitutions made to my order. When I got home, as I unpacked my groceries, I checked the receipt to make sure everything was there, and it was. This experience has only increased my love for Kroger and what a great addition this location has been to the Oakley/Hyde Park area. First and foremost the employees here are friendly and greet you if they see you in the store. If you're browsing they'll ask if they can help you find anything. So friendly and very helpful! The store itself has everything! It's big. Had groceries, a butcher, sushi station, salad bar, cheese bar, a place to sit down and get a drink (alcohol!) and housewares. Almost like a target but more groceries and better prices! Produce is always fresh and selection is vast. Bakery is expansive and the bread is fresh! Dessert selection is ample. Never waiting in line for long to check out. By far the nicest Kroger! read more

This Kroger is quite amazing. From what I hear it's the biggest in all of Ohio and the second biggest all together. It's quite a site to see. It's obviously like no other Kroger you've been to, even the "Super" Krogers out there. This one has a clothing department, and a jewelry store, and a full "beer and wine" bar (reminiscent of the one at Jungle Jims), a full deli, basically a Kroger style restaurant where you can order food made there and then dine in or carry out. Not to mention a full Starbucks (even tho a lot of Krogers have this, I know, this one it different, it's literally like a fully functioning stand alone Starbucks inside of this Kroger). The mass size of this place allows it to carry just about anything you could think of. Their holiday sections are massive and awesome! The only thing that this Kroger does not have is a liquor store inside of it, which is kind of perplexing. I'm guessing there is some kind of zoning law in play that states that Kroger can't have 2 liquor store stores so close to each other? (the Hyde Park location has one). Alas this unfortunate fact will keep me from having this location be my go-to Kroger..I like "one stop shopping" for groceries and liquor and what-not. But I will still frequent here for everything else they have going on. It's a very impressive thing they've built here. read more

New and shiny but still understocked and mismanaged. There's a section for charcuterie but they didn't have bell peppers last week and there are only two sad heads of broccoli this week. Also apparently after 11:00pm there are no cashiers on staff; only one helper at self check out and a security guard. So at 11:30 pm I still had to stand in line and it took twice as long as usual to check out. Hard fail. Two stars bc the floors aren't sticky. yet. Prices seem to be creeping up. It's gotten to the point where I buy about half of my groceries at Aldi (which is generally about half the cost of other places). Also, I'm seeing about 20 checkout lines and only the self serve ones are open and about 15 angry, impatient people ahead of me. Would it kill you to open up some lines with cashiers? GOD1st Bad experience with an employee upfront. She saw my children and I checking out at the self checkout with the belt. she profiled me immediately. She had already made up in her mind that I was stealing and she aggressively acted upon that. She didn't introduce herself when she came up to bag, she immediately went to the screen to count my items "which were all scanned" . After I noticed her ugly disposition I told her that I can bag, she then moved on to hovering around me and asking about items in my basket (I hadn't been at the check out for five minutes yet, Im still in the process of taking items out of my cart/ multitasking to make sure my kids stay next to me, making sure the baby doesn't jump out of the cart). I told my son to take some items that I'm not getting and put It on the part of the register where we normally place things we do not want. She says (I'll take them, I pass her some things; then she starts grabbing things out of my cart). After that , one of my children were holding a 12 pack of soda for me to scan, the employee squeezes past me and the basket then goes over to her and takes the soda from her and starts typing on the register, I said "excuse me, excuse me" she ignored me then I waved my hand at her even though she is within 1 ft of me and I say "excuse me I can take that " and she said "It's not scanned" . I then told her to go away and went and got a manager. I let the manager know that she was profiling me hard. The manager let me know that she would take her off of the check out because she has done this to someone before. When the manager talked to her about it the girl was very manipulative and said that it was taken the wrong way, yet she was very unapologetic. She prejudged me, and acted upon that. Some people do steal , but there was a Much better way that this could have been handled. At least make sure that someone is stealing before insinuating that they are with your actions. Other employees who are familiar with us saw, and apologized for what happened, even the manager; but the employee was very unapologetic. She meant to be ugly, and judgemental. read more

Went to Oakley Kroger's today to get a few things for Christmas. The five stars are only for the cashier Kathy. They had 1 line open lines all the way back to the end of the store. The rest was fast check out, how nice you get to ring it up and bag it but don't get paid for doing a cashier's job. How sad that this is what this store has come to, but don't forget they get to reap all the hikes on the food they are charging you. Also they didn't have the decency to have anybody employed at the customer service center either. What's next no employee and all fast check out good luck if that happens. read more

I have visited this Kroger several times, it is a Kroger marketplace. Everything is kept very clean for as many people that come and go through here. They have a good sized wine selection, large delicatessen, their bread always smells lovely. Why would a store advertise their wine as "10% off on all wine, mix & match, with purchase of 6 bottles or more", then refuse to give a 10% discount on the 7th & 8th bottle of wine I was purchasing with the reason being it had to be a "multiple" of 6 bottles being purchased???? Why not change the sign to read, "10% off wine when purchased in multiples of 6 bottles"? The cashier asked a manager, who asked a 2nd manager who told me to ask the Wine & Beer manager... every single one didn't understand what the meaning of "6 bottles or more" suggests. I was working near Marburg Avenue on Friday and had one day left to pick up my free Simple Truth bag of popcorn. I wanted to find the white cheddar cheese flavor. My daughter had suggested that I might find it here. I am not a fan of this store because it is just too big but they had my white cheddar cheese popcorn. I was also able to find the free electrolyte water from the new Friday digital coupon. This made by the trip a success. Upon entering the store I checked the discounted produce display. It was empty. It was empty the last time I was here too. So I can not recommend this Kroger store for finding good marked down produce but I did have a friendly conversation with the checkout lane associate. Been here a million times (or close to it!) and was not impressed with this visit. So many empty shelves!!! The majority of the shampoo aisle had several empty slots for the brand I needed and even the chip and produce section was this way too. I know some vendors stock their own product, but Kroger should keep some on hand for when restocking is needed. I'll be back, I'm sure, but hope they do better. read more

I'm afraid that this particular pharmacy is often understaffed. The drive thru is rarely open and tonight I am standing in line behind 12 costumers waiting to get my prescription. I chose to use Kroger as my flower supplier for my wedding. I went to the Oakley store since it is larger than most Kroger's in the area. I was very impressed with the knowledge that both the floral manager and her associates had. I knew I wanted my bouquets to be very green with white flowers since it was an early summer wedding. They flipped through the floral book with me and helped me pick greenery and flowers that were in season and that would hold up in the heat. I was so happy with the result! They assembled the bouquets as requested and gave us all the extra greenery in buckets to use around the venue. All of my guests were incredulous when I told them that Kroger was my florist! Plus I got a ton of Kroger points. I definitely recommend them to any bride. read more

Wow this place was shocking. I don't usually shop here as I'm closer to Mariemont and Madeira. Those stores are so neat and clean that you could almost eat off the floor. This store on a Monday morning was absolutely filthy. I cut my shopping trip short because it was so filthy I was afraid to touch anything. Garbage all over the floor, half eaten food and Starbucks cup on the shelves. Every single aisle was blocked with things that had been thrown on the floor from the weekend and never picked up. There were carts piled up to the ceiling of all kinds of foods that people had left in different places and the employees were trying to put back. I tore my meniscus so I walk with two canes. I needed one of their grocery scooters. There were 20 unplugged scooters parked on top of each other. I found a really nice employee who tried to help me and because so many of the scooters were dead and they were all jammed on top of each other we couldn't even move them back. I asked for a manager and was told there were none on duty. Boy I made a big mistake and I learned a lesson I will never shop up here again read more

It's been over a year since this Kroger Marketplace opened and it's still been worth the hype. They have the freshest selection of produce and typically is one of the "test" stores for new Kroger prototypes (i.e. one of the first stores in the Tri-State to have ClickList online ordering, Prep + Pared meal kits) and it doesn't hurt that you can drink a glass of wine or pint of beer while you shop! The size can be overwhelming, but once you figure out the navigation you can get in and out pretty quickly. They have a great bulk section and craft beer selection too! I've also been known to spend an evening with a $7 wine or $5 beer flight... it's hard to resist with those kind of prices! I can count on one hand the number of times I've had stocking issues and haven't been able to pinpoint a certain day where I've run into these issues, but this is still my go-to grocery store. read more

Reading these reviews you notice all of the lower reviews are pickup orders or ones during covid when everyone was going through a lot with suppliers (not their fault).. people who can't walk into a store and look for anything to complain about. I've been visiting this location since the day they opened and absolutely love it. I have had full time jobs, my 6 year olds day care an hour away, visit at 9am, or 9pm beyond exhausted but always was able to find anything and everything I was looking for. I understand some people are unable to park a little further away to walk a cart around and get what they need themselves but these click list workers work their booties off. Every one I pass filling orders is pushing a giant cart around and noticeably look for the best quality product, in a good mood and work to their highest potential. Veggies are always fresh, the seafood, meat counter are always beyond amazing with great recommendations..I always get salmon or shrimp with the buffalo seasoning and was just introduced to the Asian one.. yum!! I could go on and on. The bar always has great drafts and a great selection to choose from. Especially Jay, Stan, Tom and John. I'll visit kroger and not even getting a beer I still love to see their smiling faces. Stanley is also great, always helpful if I'm looking for something I couldn't find. Jennifer usually at self checkout is so sweet and so personable, she definitely knows how to make you smile. On top of the best quality food and options, my fav 5/3 bank is there, def visit Ana. She is astounding at her job and always makes sure her customers are satisfied and wants the best for us all. The store is always very clean, perfectly stocked, very convenient if you're in a hurry and has a great location. The security there couldn't even improve, so nice, were always covid friendly, especially Zach. I was glad to find this super sized Kroger in my new neighborhood. I had tried the one back in Hyde Park and I was not impressed. However, the super large and new Kroger has just the mix of impersonal (large aisles, lots of selection) and personal (deli counter, fried chicken, wine bar and cheese bar) that I like. I usually do my shopping on Sunday after 5pm, when the crowd has died down. The downside is, of course, they are out of most sale items by this time, and the produce section is pretty thin. We did have a very nice worker run in the back for more cauliflower one day. Be prepared to dodge the crowds at peak times, and wait in line at the check out.
