Why does the staff need to be so rude here. I used self checkout and upon paying for my items the register shot out an error and called the attendant. An older mean attendant came over and hatefully asked what I wanted. I am very soft spoken and shy but tried to explain I didn't know what the issue was. She said I broke something and typed away on the screen. She then barks an angry order about my bananas. Apparently the banana didn't properly ring up. She scanned my bananas twice. When I asked her to confirm that it only rings up once she smarted off telling me i had tried to steal them and she did her job right. She is ALWAYS a nasty mean person to everyone. Ill take my money to Meijer at least they are nice. Also the seafood area STINKS read more

The Manager's at the Clarksville Kroger will order an item for you if you ask and they can get it. I drink a lot of smoothies and the frozen fruit I showed them I have to go elsewhere to find all the things I need. A week after showing the Manager the pictures of what I wanted they have now stocked. read more

Good store and have lots of fresh items. I kind of like this layout compared to other Krogers in the area. They seem to have a little more selections then some of the other stores. The food area and produce always seems to be fresh and good looking. I think they take care of the produce area quite readily. The people working there are always smiling and helpful. This included some of the stocking personnel. Seem to always be ready to help you out if your looking for something. One thing I wished is if you search a product it will tell you the location as some other local store have started doing. I think they feel you might buy less if you know right where it is, but if I have more time, I browse more and probably buy more, imho. Smile! read more

Are used to live in Clarkesville for a while and we will visit this Kroger all the time this is our go to place for sure. I've had a lot of experiences here I think it's a good Kroger even when I went back to school are you a salad because at this Kroger because it was relatively close to where I work with the college so I got a Lotta good things in this Kroger no problems whatsoever it's clean it's large enough yeah that's just an overall good place read more

I usuaaly go to the Jeffersonville Kroger. My mom needed some things so went to Clarksville. They were out of fried chicken twice tgis week at 3:30pm. They are running a special 2 eight pieces for $10. If they are going to have a special like that then they need to be constantly frying. The girl had an attitude on Tuesday after she came back from her break and today was the same. I don't like that you have to purchase your liquor in the separate section. What is the probability that a grocery store would get a five-star review in this current climate? I'm guessing; not very high. With empty shelves and "out of stock" becoming the norm, it can be frustrating for both the shoppers and employees. Add to that the fact that stores have had to hire more new internal shoppers to keep up with the online ordering demand, which basically means the person shopping for your food likely hasn't been trained and doesn't really know the store; it's a perfect storm of complaints and thankless exhaustion. I was subjected to most of the above, recently, on a Monday afternoon. I got home to find that most of my stuff was missing and I was given substitutions, without explicit consent, that were completely illogical. For example, they were apparently out of tortillas, but gave me pretzels. They didn't have 1 lb of 90% organic lean beef, so they gave me 5 lbs of 60% bargain beef. My regular milk was substituted with chocolate milk, and anything that was organic, had a chemical and preservative-laden substitute. With a practically empty fridge, I had waited six days to pickup this $300 order, (due to out of stock and high demand), and after retrieving it, I was surrounded by stuff I couldn't or wouldn't eat. Why five stars, then? I'll tell you: I immediately called the store. A nice lady answered the phone, took my number, and expressed her own frustration with the newer employees who were making things more difficult with their constant errors. She sounded exhausted and frustrated, and for very good reason. However, she said one key thing to me that turned the experience around... a complete 180: "Let me see what I can do to make this right for you. I'll call you back after I check the store." As promised, 15 minutes later, I received a call from her to let me know she had found all my "out of stock" items and she had set them aside for pickup at my convenience. Now, THAT is customer service! I don't care HOW badly a business screws up, if they make it right, I will give them five stars all day long. read more

I really like this particular Kroger (Clarksville). It's the first of its size I visited when I return back to the area a little over 2 years ago. I was impressed with its size, the product selections, and how clean and neat the store was, along with having all my product choices in stock (I've never experience this issue so much, at different grocery stores, since I've return to the Kentuckiana area). I've shopped here several times and everytime my shopping experience has been pleasant. I've read several reviews where the writer complained about products not being available. I personally haven't had that problem with this particular store, but like I said stores being out of stock of items appears to be common in this area. My only complaint about this store location is that parking can be a challenge. The lot is pretty small. This normally wouldn't be a concern for me, but at times I have to bring my mother and being able to park in a handicap parking space is an absolute must. read more

The Clarksville Indiana Kroger is a very unfriendly store....I asked the Shift person at the area the customer checks themselves out....I asked why the customer service area was closed....The same thing happened at another store the night before.....I was interrupted and was treated very bad...I've only spent money here all of my life.....I the store manager that it was a shame he had to hire from the bottom of the bucket because there was no one else....I could tell by his expression that I was right... read more

A cake was ordered March 28th for an event on March 31st. The employees stated they would have the birthday cake ready at 1pm est, however we received a call at 8:30am March 31st. The day cake was supposed to be complete stating they could not make the cake. In my opinion this is a horrible customer experience as well as customer service. Kroger did not offer us any compensation. They kept saying you can go to the Kroger on 10th street Jefferson, In. This is an issue because we needed the cake at a specific time and couldn't wait at all what so ever. We walked out that store dissatisfied. Nothing was resolved and we didn't get a Birthday cake. Instead we had to get cupcakes(which were good) but that's besides the point. Kroger called the day we were suppose to pick up our cake. This Kroger does not have a sense of urgency, can't complete deadlines in a timely resolution, inadequate customer service and never gave a resolution to rectify the situation at that given moment. read more

Michelle P was outstanding on my Kroger app order. She listed options when an item needed replaced and kept me updated when there was just two lanes open at the time my order was ready for check out. She was so nice and helpful and just went above and beyond. Some of us still work from home due to covid so we miss out on that social interaction and it was just so heartwarming to get to meet this beautiful soul in person. This Kroger over the bridge in IN is not my normal Kroger, but dang it is nice. It is larger than the one right by my residence, so they have a bigger selection specifically in the deli, produce, in store prepared foods. I wish the Kroger near me was this large. read more

Terrible service with a pickup order. We placed an order for $300 and were unable to pick it up due to the store canceling it. We received an email at 4pm for our time slot of 4pm-5pm saying they were canceling our order. We then placed another order for the next day and they did the same thing. I understand being understaffed but at least call or email the 2 hours ahead of time letting us know our order was cancelled. On top of it because the order was cancelled we xouldnt just go back into the app and redo the exact order over again and pick another store. I will not be shopping this store again for pickup as the associate in pickup was no help when we called about it either. read more

This is the second time I've ordered Kroger pickup and they haven't had my order ready. The first time they asked me to come back in a half hour. This time they told me to come back in an hour. I know, its kind of silly to write a review on a huge chain store like Kroger, but as most of us know, they're all totally different. I'm one of those people who 1. goes grocery shopping 3-5 times a week because I try to only get fresh foods and use them same day and 2. is willing to travel far distances for specialty stores for one single ingredient (so, in short, THE WORST kind of person). This particular Kroger is no more than five minutes away from my house and has just been completely renovated and resized. Its now HUGE with specialty sections. You may notice from the outside that it now boasts, "Kroger Wine and Spirits", and boy, they are not kidding. You can now find local wines, beers and spirits in their huge spirits section, which is accompanied by an impressive cheese case (the closest thing you're going to have to a cheese monger) filled with probably a hundred different kinds, many of them local and priced from the low side of the spectrum all the way to serious cheese lover prices. And this might be the coolest thing... an olive bar! Yup, about fifteen different kinds of fresh olives that you can select yourself, package and weigh. So this new section right here is one less special trip across the bridge that I have to take. Their deli has become pretty expansive. They now offer fresh sushi, squid salads and more Asian staples for on the go patrons, along with ready made rotisserie chickens, hot sides, fresh salad bar and of course, any sliced meat you can think of. They also have fresh made pizzas that you just pop right into your oven, kind of like a Papa Murphy's pizza that are made fresh daily and ready to go. This Kroger has expanded their International aisle and added a lot of Asian, Indian, Kosher, Mexican and British staples. I typically travel to Choi's in Lyndon (my favorite Asian grocery store) and now I don't have to as often because this Kroger now stocks vermicelli noodles, miso and various seaweeds and other hard to find seasonings and essentials. Something extremely cool that this Kroger is now doing is having all of their all natural, organic and vegetarian sections of aisles (there are tons!) clearly marked with a green leaf symbol and signage stating that its organic/all natural. It makes shopping healthier so much easier. Of course, this Kroger has any other essential that you may need while running errands, cooking utensils, dishes, hair and beauty products, seasonal items, diapers, "As Seen On TV" section (I have no idea why, but my boyfriend acts like that aisle is a magnet...), cleaning supplies, paper products. I could go on forever about what this new and improved Kroger has to offer. I understand that by going to this Kroger instead of the small niche stores that I often go to may seem like I am no longer shopping as local, and to a degree that's absolutely true. However, Kroger has made a real effort on keeping as much produce and goods as local as possible. All around the store you will find signs saying "I'm local!" that point to kiosks, wines, cheeses, meats, veggies, fruits, seasonings, and a variety of honey and jams. I try my hardest to purchase my staples locally and this Kroger helps me save time and money by keeping it all in one place. I've heard a lot of people (including my dad, whom is an avid Kroger fan) say that this new Kroger is too big and overwhelming. I personally think its an awesome place to get everything I need and allows me to shop organically and locally for much cheaper than I can at other places. And that's what's important to me at a grocery store. read more

Pretty decent Kroger and newly expanded however today I decided to get some fried chicken tenders because they are excellent when they have them but it took a while for anyone to come to the counter. Once he did, he said very little and did not smile or say thank you or anything to make me feel like I should enjoy the chicken, so I didn't. It's the little things ya know. It's not like there was a huge line or anything so I don't understand the crummy service and poor attitude. This Kroger is convenient though and has some products that you can't find elsewhere though still missing some products that are available at Kroger's across the bridge in Louisville. Was in today to do some shopping with my infant son, and went to the restroom to change him. Stood there waiting for the handicapped stall with changing station, while someone inside talked loudly on their cell phone and took a leisurely dump. Some time later a young employee emerged, and didn't stop to wash her hands (hopefully she's not the produce clerk.) Nevermind that every other stall was open, she must have just needed that extra leg room to stretch out for comfort during her break. Aside from that, you can't walk in or out without having to walk through the cloud of cancer that awaits from all the employees smoking on their breaks, which I guess is what they do when not taking chatty dumps in handicapped stalls or spreading fecal matter onto your groceries. read more

It's a pretty typical grocery store. The prices are in line with other local stores with some items being cheaper and others more expensive and 98% of the time they carry what I'm looking for. The employees are friendly and can usually point you in the right direction when looking for something specific. My biggest issue is their produce section. All too often the produce isn't as fresh as it should be and a few times they have been completely out of some of our normal purchases. read more

Pulling in...carts flooded the parking lot. I feared my precious Toyota would be in danger no matter what spot I chose. I finally decided on a spot and that's when the real terror began. The store was overcrowded, the shelves were empty, the produce was in shambles. Self-checkout was the only option as there other lines were too long. Self-checkout was not great because when the was a problem no one was there to help. I strongly suggest (to anyone looking at reviews for a Kroger before they go) to not go here. All the other Krogers in the area were much better! read more

This Kroger is pretty nice. They have some great low prices and accept coupons. The layout is convenient and the fuel is close by as well as a liquor store for your special occasions! There are however never enough check out lanes open and the shopping cart returns are set up awkward in the parking lot. Not ghetto and not a lot of homeless begging for money which always makes for a more pleasant grocery shopping experience. read more

This store is terrible, here a Friday afternoon and 3 of the 4 things I went in for were no stock. I did order bottom round roast beef at the deli and I got that cheap rubber stuff. There were no sandwiches pre made in the deli and was told they would not make any, try again tomorrow. And then no orange juice or the digernos supreme frozen pizza were not to be found. A ride across the bridge for a store that offers customer service is in my future. read more

I went into Kroger today 1-15-18, to buy some dog food. Particularly Fresh Pet. This is refrigerated food that you have to keep refrigerated. I was looking through the selections and picked out what I wanted. I ALWAYS check the expiration dates. Good thing I did because I found numerous EXPIRED foods. I am not talking about a few days, which there were, but I found food that was dated back to 2014 and 2016. Yes...we are talking food that is expired by 3 years! I took pictures and went up front to talk to the manager. His name is JOE. I told him my complaint and showed him the pictures I took. He wanted me to show him where this was. You mean to tell me you don't know where the dog food is??? I walked him back there and pulled out what I had went through. I didn't go through the cat food and I didn't go through all of the dog food. I asked him how he could have food on the shelf that expired in 2014 and 2016!! He didn't know, so I told him he better get this taken care of now or else I was turning them in. He said that he was going to go through the whole refrigerator. So if you buy ANYTHING perishable at Kroger in Clarksville Indiana....CHECK THE EXPIRATION DATES!!! Your life or your animals life might depend on it. read more
