I have ordered here for about 4 years and have shopped in store as well. The store is cleaned and inviting the service is good. Done. I am done with this store. Do not shop here and definitely never do pick up. We have had numerous problems with store the last 6months and the management doesn't care a damn bit. Wife placed an online pick up mainly because they had soda on sale for four 12 packs for $15. Being diabetic we get diet or no sugar sodas. So I show up to pick up our order. Girl comes out and says here are the substitutes. Two of the 12 packs were replaced with regular soda. What the actual hell??? Why would think of a person is all diet drinks they would be ok with regular soda? So I tell them can they just grab me two 12 packs of whatever? No. So they take off the two 12 packs and the have the audacity to charge me 8.99 for each of the two 12 packs I kept. My wife calls to speak to a manager who is no help at all. Finally told we can up there and get two 12 pack's tomorrow so we will see. They also said they had no deli meat which is a load of crap. They did they just didn't want to take the time to get it. This has happened the last four times we tried to get deli meat. They also didn't have half of the items we ordered in stock. What is really going on is they are understaffed and do not want to take the time to get items that might take more time like deli items and produce. Every time we order they never have those items in stock. So I will go inside and guess what. In stock. This is BAD service. Also every time we schedule a pick up they push it out 1-3 hours. What's the point? It's our fault for continuing to give them a chance. I will no longer shop here. I said that before but the wife thought the drinks were a good deal and placed an order. Now she is fed up with them too. This store sucks and doesn't care. If you do shop here never do pick up. But I wouldn't give this store any business. And I no longer will. I stopped by this Kroger while I was in the Denton area and it's a pretty spacious Kroger - I was actually impressed iwth how big this Kroger was. I actually only went in to use the Starbucks and the bathroom here but it was generally a pretty good Kroger. I went early in the morning so there were not a lot of folks in at all, so I was able to take care of my business pretty quickly. I don't really ever have much business in Denton, but when I'm in the area -- I definitely will check this Kroger out in depth! read more

I'd give a zero if I could. I am a senior and in poor health along with other folks my age,and if we weren't, your pharmacy wouldn't be needed. I understand you must be short on help, I understand that the new incredibly ignorant boy (Issac) can never, ever help when I have a question, but the way we were treated today by the pharmacist was "unacceptable" ! I was issued drugs I no longer take AND I was given a new manufacturer for an OPIATE, that I do take. It concerned me because I'm on 17 different medications. If I were to have something that didn't commingle with my one or more of my current medications, it could be very detrimental to me and my health and/or family. Before I left the grocery store I went back to ask a question. I first spoke with Issac, who of course can't do or answer any questions whatsoever. He only wants your birthdate and cashier you out and dispense your bag. I explained that I already know I can't return items, but I have a questions because I've been on this medication for 10 years. I had asked about the different packaging, he had to ask the pharmacist on duty, (Kim Nguyen) about it, she came around the corner highly upset and wielded her anger towards ME! THE CUSTOMER. Spewing words at me as if I'm an ignorant field hand; accusing me of trying to return after it's been dispensed, she was CLEARLY ASSUMING, because that was not the case. I couldn't get a word in edgewise and after she was finished, she turned on her heels and stormed off back to her medical lair never hearing my question. She, nor anyone in the entire Kroger building actually does NOT know me. I assure you I am not an ignorant or insignificant old person. I do NOT appreciate the Elder Discrimination that I received. I will remove my prescriptions from Kroger Pharmacy, I will no longer shop for groceries there, and I will not purchase gasoline at that location. There is absolutely no excuse for the way I was treated. I wasn't angry, gruff or demanding. But she sure was! Tim, the pharmacy manager, along with Liz (floater) have always offered great customer service and both were able to assist me with some challenging circumstances. This letter is going to several places. I know I'm only one person, but change has to start somewhere. I advise ANYONE that needs medications NOT go here. This pharmacy is very substandard. This store is rediculous, don't waste your time. I thought it would be an easy 10am saturday trip to the grocers. The shelf stockers block the aisles and if they are not already blocked and they see you coming they will literally push their pallets and carts in your way to block you. After multiple visits to this pharmacy, my assessment is that this is a dismally managed pharmacy and not a pharmacy that we will continue to use. Ongoing issues include: - failing to order the drug as promised, even though they have had the doctor's script in hand - prescriptions not ready as promised - 15-20 minutes PER CAR sitting at the drive through window. (If you are 3 back on line, plan to sit for 45-60 minutes until it's your turn.) - Excessive waits in line in-store - Prescriptions not ready when promised - Excessive length of time waiting for prescriptions to be filled between drop off and pick up. Multiple times we have gone into the store, checked on a prescription, done all of our grocery shopping, come back an hour later and still have to leave the store without picking up the script. Many of the stores in this area have very poor pharmacy reviews all related to poor service. Kroger execs need to get in gear and find better management, systems, and processes if they want to continue to compete in the highly profitable pharmaceutical sector. Today's consumers are used to better efficiencies than Kroger is delivering. The business model of pharmacy with grocery makes sense for the consumer but only when executed properly. read more

Went in for a few groceries yesterday and left after a harrowing encounter with another customer. The other customer was an older bearded male with an unkempt appearance wearing an untucked yellow flannel button up shirt, blue jeans, dirty white tennis shoes and he had a left leg limp. He began speaking to me in the meat section. He asked about some visible marks on my back left over from a recent medical procedure I had. At first I thought he was being friendly and I reciprocated what I thought was his kindness. But then he became loud, aggressive and hyper sexual towards me. I'll leave the details for those who care. Anyway, disturbed, I started to walk away but he began following me. The farther away I got, the louder and more sexual he was with his speech. Highly flustered, I found the first male employee I could, who turned out to be one of the managers on duty. I told him what was going on and pointed out the man to him. I told him I couldn't get the rest of my groceries bc the man was standing where I needed to be. His response was, "I'll keep an eye on him." I asked, "That's all? This man is harassing me and blocking the area where I need to shop and your going to keep an eye on him?" He said, "Yeah." So I walked away and went to customer service and told two female employees who called for management. Another older guy approached. I told him the same information and he gave me the same response as the first "manager." Sensing this was more about gender and race than it was about safety, I decided to leave the store. I did tell one young man at check out who seemed to take it seriously. But for those "managers" who did not take it seriously, might I refer you to the current $100 million lawsuit Michael Irvin initiated against a DFW hotel. While it is more about defamation and less about the sexual act itself, it seems some people do take sexual harassment claims seriously enough to potentially eliminate a big business. If nothing else, it shows the serious lack of education Kroger puts into their employees as management has zero idea how to handle abuse. read more

I've used this pharmacy for over ten years. It went from exceptional service to horrible service recently. The lines are long, the staff seems inexperienced and bothered....and they seem very very understaffed. I am sad to say that I will be changing to another pharmacy. read more

I used to enjoy shopping here. It used to be a very nice store. This store has gone gradually downhill over time. I just can't shop here anymore. It has become dirty and is not cleaned often at all. They never have many cashiers and I often have to scan and sack my own because that's the only option. There seem to not be many workers in the store. My past 4-5 experiences have been so bad I've stopped shopping here. Even with the good prices and fuel points I can't take it anymore. I've sent surveys in and told the company but nothing improves. At the pharmacy (inside the store), when I walked up to the pick-up counter, I could see and hear three pharmacy employees working behind the counter. No one was at the registers. I waited almost three minutes. Meanwhile, two additional customers were queued up behind me. I asked loudly, "Can I get some help here?" The response came from a fourth employee that I had not noticed, but it was strange. Her response was, "Can I get some help here?" At first, I thought she was making fun of me, but she could have been asking her fellow employees for help. I don't know, but she walked up to the register. Her name was Izbella. As is standard at this Kroger, she asked, "Last name?" I gave it. "Birthdate." I gave it. She frowned at the screen as she was reading and asked "I have two ready for you?" I thought, well, yes, I was there to pick up two refills. But, before I could answer, she pointed at the credit card reader and said, "Sign the pharmacist question." Then, she walked away, came back with medication, then walked away again, came back, and frowned at the screen some more. She never explained what all that was about. She offered no apologies for the unexplained wait at the register. No 'please' or 'thank you' or 'have a nice day' or 'Gee, thanks for your business.' Just very robotic and uncharismatic. Over the years, I've spent thousands of dollars at this pharmacy. I don't think it's asking too much for Kroger to require better customer service from their pharmacy employees. This particular interaction made me start considering a relocation of my business. read more

This store is such a disappointment. I use to shop there all the time but my experiences keep deteriorating. I shopped at the store yesterday and not only did I have to wait in line for a long time due to only 2 registers open they did not even have baggers. If I am going to bag my own groceries and wait in line for a long period of time I may as well shop at Winco or Aldies where you may have to bag your own groceries but get compensated in the price of their goods! As soon as we stepped in to store we were followed around by one of the employees by the way we're black, tried to check out, one of our friends bought wine, they insisted on all 3 of all our IDs, we didn't bring ours but our friend that was buying the wine brought his seeing as he wanted to drink later that night, yet she still insisted on seeing on all three of our IDs. Any grocery store that willingly allows large, non-service animals inside has lost my business permanently. I just left this Kroger disgusted after seeing a man just casually stroll by me with his Mastiff on a leash. The dog was not wearing a service vest, so it appeared to be a pet. When I was checking out, I asked one of the employees if non-service dogs we're allowed in the store and he responded with a somewhat hostile "yes". Sorry, but there is never any acceptable circumstance under which a large dog should be allowed in a grocery store. It's disgusting, unsanitary and more than stupid on the part of Kroger as it opens a huge liability can of worms. On several occasions when I've needed the assistance of management they have shown a consistent inability to handle even the smallest situations with competance. It's as though on every occasion if you request help or direction that it's their first time in the store and they "aren't sure what to tell you ma'am" or "I wish there were something I could do to help". WORST SERVICE I'VE EVER HAD!! Last night I was at Kroger off loop 288 in Denton. She told me about a change in The coupon policy so I asked "ok. Is there a house supervisor still here that I can ask about the policy change" The woman actually said "I'm too damn tired to argue I'll take the dumb coupons". Who the heck says that to a customer?!?! Then she still didn't take them so I said "ok just take them off, it's ok ". She starts huffing and mumbling under her breath. Then when I brought up "I didn't appreciate being snapped at for something I didn't know" all she said was "Oh I'm sorry". I was so mad I waited for the manager to leave the store to further confront her about how rude this woman was and all she said was " I wish you would have told me this in there bc I've already spikem to them".....are kiding me?!?! This is one of the updated nicer Kroger stores! The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because the produce section could be better. The sushi samples are the best and there is a wide variety in the deli! I come here for all my grocery needs and can find most anything you would need. Parking is easy and people are generally nicer than other grocery stores. read more
