This particular kroger is in a sad state of affairs. I'm standing at the deli counter for 3 minutes and not 1 of 3 people behind it asked if they could help me. It is Saturday evening in only one checkout lane out of 7 are open... they are systematically forcing people to use the self check outs and people are going for it. The conveyor belt in checkout lane number 7 was filthy... I had to spray it with my own isopropyl alcohol. Normally we shop at the kroger in either Dundee or Lambertville, but we were coming back from an Ann Arbor and this one happened to be in our way. Milan is actually a nice town... DO NOT PICK UP YOUR MONEYGRAM HERE!!!. Make sure if you do you have it set to their location or it won't go through and then they will blame it on you and instagram. It is moneygrams policy that you only have to have the receivers state entered into a transaction but at Kroger they do it their way. I would just go somewhere else if I were you. Great grocery store with a wonderful produce section and delicious bakery. Sign up for a kroger plus card and save on the many sales they have. The 10 for $10 is a favorite of mine especially with 3 boys with big appetites. If you like vegetables and salad you can find very hood deals on products soon to expire. I bought 4 bags of ready mix greek and ceasar large portions for $1 each as they were marked $3.99 with a $3 dollar sticker attached. They take a lot of free coupons also which other stores don't do. What can I say, it's a Kroger. I like shopping at Kroger because they have organic sections and have vegan options for fairly cheap. Of course you could go to a more health food targeted store to have more options, but spend more money, but Milan doesn't have one of those. It's also the only grocery store in Milan besides the Milan City market, which is more like a convenience store and deli. And in the summer Zilkes Farm stand sells produce. The most frustrating thing about this Kroger is that there is no internet. I often try to use my Kroger app in the store to look at my coupons and points and it will not work. It also blocks my data, so that doesn't work either. This is really frustrating because when you want to look something up, especially in a place you would by things, and you can't, it leads me to just give up and I have given this Kroger less business throughout the years. read more

Since there are some negative reviews here, I felt I should write. I have never had any problems here. The produce looks good, staff is friendly, and the store is just easier to deal with than the behemoths in Ann Arbor and Ypsi. Never shopping at this location again and reporting them to the health department. I did a pick-up order and got rotten produce and foods that were set to expire the next day. I cut into garlic that had a clear spot of rot and had already sprouted. The potatoes were green and unusable. Management was good in handling the issue and seemed like it was a common complaint, but they shouldn't have to deal with this. Whomever is supposed to look out for these sort of things isn't doing it. Shoppers beware. read more

Blah, worst Kroger in the county, in my opinion. Produce not fresh, usually goes bad within a day or two, plenty of outdated food in the dairy department. Service department is terrible. Self serve check out lanes-don't put your produce down on those dirty scales. I try to avoid at all costs-usually shop 15 minutes away just to avoid Kroger of Milan. read more

Very convenient for me as I live right around the corner. The whole store has very recently been redone and is clean, modern and has wonderful sales and selections. Their pharmacy is wonderful and gives dedicated service. The bakery and Deli are great too. read more

Today is November 11, 2018. I live behind the Milan, Kroger store. For nearly a week extremely noisy Freezer Trucks have been running at the store. This is creating a horrific amount of noise and vibration at our and our neighbor's homes. This is Our Problem. I have been told by the store management that there have been FREEZER MALFUNCTIONS, in the store, for nearly a week. Management has told me that their frozen foods are being stored in the trucks, behind the store. If the Freezers have failed, Are the Frozen items are being sold from malfunctioning in-store Freezers? I suggest that you BEWARE OF THEIR FROZEN FOODS! Serious health situations can arise from eating mishandled food. This could be your Problem. Happy Thanksgiving. read more

Avoid this poorly managed mess. I often shop at this Kroger, only because it is 90 seconds from my home and there are not other local options. However I am disappointed every time I visit the store. It has been this way for years. If you can spare the time drive to another town. The store is dirty and messy. The whole strip mall development containing this store is a community eyesore. The store floor is dirty, the bathrooms are gross, the bottle return is filthy, refrigeration equipment is often leaking, promotional displays of junk and snacks crowd the entrance. It feels sort of like a flea market. The produce is horrendous. It is rarely fresh. Multiple times I have brought home bagged salad that was spoiled that same day. Even the unprocessed produce spoils within a couple days. Sometimes I wonder if the Kroger warehouse intentionally sends their old produce to the store in the poor rural town. The inventory management is horrible. I almost never find everything I need. The store carries the items but the shelf space is empty. Last week I found the bread section 80% empty. The meat counter is slow, if you can find it staffed. 50% of the time no one is behind the counter. I often wait politely for 5 minutes hoping someone will show. Several times I had to ask the store manager to call someone out of the backroom to the counter. Also, be sure to get there early. Because they pack everything up an hour before the meat counter is scheduled to close. In addition, like the rest of the store the meat counter and bakery is messy. Half of the staff looks and acts like they came from the homeless shelter. The uniform is an ill fitted Kroger shirt, old nasty jeans, worn out dirty shoes. Add messy hair that needs a trim. It is not uncommon to hear staff cursing and using inappropriate slang while they chat. It creates an unprofessional trashy environment. As if all this isn't enough annoyance, shelves are stocked while the store is open. So you have to deal with piles of boxes and dollies blocking isles. The store is currently being remodeled slightly. But that is just putting lipstick on a pig. A freshened entryway does not address the core problems: bad workers, bad management, bad inventory control, old produce. I am not sure if Kroger cares about their image. But this store is certainly a stain. Head elsewhere to spend your cash. read more

Kroger Pharmacy in Milan MI is the worst piece of garbage !! They are bold face liers in the worst way. I had my daughters add script called in by her docter and was originally told by pharm at this kroger it wasnt fillable this month till the exact same day it was filled the month prior however their were 31 days in the prior month. And when I called the pharmacy staff 2nd time to explain that to lady she explained it was set to be filled automatically the day before last months fill because of the extra day in OCT and it was inaccurate that the pharm tld me it had to be the exact same day as prior month. So I walk into pharmacy waiting on 6 peep in front of me with a gallon of milk, I get to counter only to be embarrassed and berated by the MORON pharmacist telling me he had heard the convo between me and pharmacy staff (lady) days before and I was never told to pick up script 1 day before it was filled the month prior. OMG you have to be kidding me. He was gonna argue that I was lying. It really wasn't that big a deal that he couldn't fill till the exact same day as prior month but it was a problem that he was arguing with me making me out to be a lier and that he was incorrect about the fill dates and that I wasted a trip!! I know for a fact insurance will fill 2 days before fill dates and 3 if their is 31 days in month prior. HN I will not stand for that!! I will never have another script filled at this pharmacy again!! read more

Produce usually is rotten on the inside when you get it home, they literally hose down the entire fresh vegetable section leaving the produce sitting in standing water for hours if not days. No matter what vendor of potatoes I buy at this location the insides are always moldy. My favorite was I stopped in a couple of nights ago to get some milk and a very large piece of asphalt had come up in their parking lot, and I could not see it because the parking lot lighting is completely inadequate, my car slammed into it and when I said something to the manager on duty her response was simply 'oh yeah, we know about it.'' Um. Okay? Were you going to FIX it or put cones around it or something so no one gets hurt or damages a vehicle. WTH. My other favorite is anytime you go there at night the employees are having a literal party, standing around laughing and playing while customers are trying to use the Uscan. God forbid you have a coupon or the Uscan malfunctions you'll be waiting full on 10 to 15 minutes before the staff notices you or pauses their shenanigans. Absolutely the WORST store I have ever been to. And the meat department is a joke, pricey cuts of meat and family packs, another God forbid if you have a small family or are on a budget. Blech.
