Usually I don't write reviews about stores like this as I don't have much to say...but I went into the Walmart a couple days ago to purchase the new poppowls that I saw on tik tok. I was so excited to see they were in stock! I got the ghostbusters one, so so cute and affordable. Would make a great gift for kids or honestly anyone. The store was across the board clean and well stocked in other aspects too. Also tried the popcorn! It's so good, I actually prefer it to regular microwave popcorn. Definitely recommend. read more

I am very disappointed in my trip to Walmart today. I have been going to this Walmart since it opened and never had any issues. I like to go to an actual open register because I feel like I would like to give some people some job security and not go to self check out. Let me tell you what happened tonight when I went, my shopping experience was fine. I was able to find all the items that I needed. Store was clean that was great. Time to go up to the register and check out saw that the register was open, and went ahead and put my items up on the belt. When I got there, nobody was in line. There was just three employees standing in there talking to each other. I am putting my items on the belt and the gentleman starts bringing it up and continues reading it up and continues his conversation with the other coworkers. I had over $200 worth of stuff so you know it wasn't a small order. The entire time I was being rung up, he continued the conversation with the other employee. Did not acknowledge Me matter of fact when that when he was done ringing it up, didn't even tell me what my total was put my receipt in a bag didn't even hand it to me. I feel this was the most rude experience. I have had almost anywhere. You do not Continue talking to employees and ignore your customer. I did report it over to the manager customer service and she said she was going to talk to the two employees that were involved. If you work in customer service, I know it's difficult. I've done it plenty of times myself. But the number one rule is you acknowledge your customer. Acknowledge them when they walk up to. You acknowledge them when it's time to leave. I will continue going to the store, but I will think twice about using that gentleman or the lady. I'm not gonna mention names, when I go to the checkout again. read more

Walmart is the most disorganized store. I was looking for a work shirt and non slip shoes, but they had no professional work shirts at all. They had one size which fit, but they wasn't a tag on it! I had to go through the run around to purchase the shoes. At the checkout you can't tap or use credit with your debit card. This place is the worst. The employees don't care to help you. They are unfriended, don't greet you or speak to you at all. This is the worst Walmart ever. I will never go to the this Walmart again. I don't recommend this Walmart to anyone. Don't ever go there. Finding my purchases, Great. Check out was fine. Calling for 5 days after because my purchase of 10 pair of Ladies Socks was missing from my bags when I got home was not acceptable. The "operator" at this Walmart is never available. 5 days of being told that they are exceptionally busy and try again later at all hours of the day and night is unexcusable. There is no way to contact any one on the website. I do not drive and I live in Dundee. If their "operators" would answer the phone, perhaps I could find out how to to make this right. Perhaps they are waiting in customer service. Maybe I could get a ride there. Good things could happen by the answer of one phone call. read more

The food was fantastic. The place was immaculate. The owners were friendly. Did I mention the food was FANTASTIC?! They had a real nice outdoor eating area, the inside reminded me of a 50s diner. I was in line for 50 minutes the other day! Two cashiers so had 4 in front of me and 4 behind me. Slot of people where buying clearance items that day which is great for them...everyone needs a good deal. The woman ahead of me was trying to be considerate by putting her clearance items neatly in order to hurry things along since we had already been waiting quit some time. The cashier started scanning these items, she had about 30 and a supervisor had to override each item scanned. It took about 30 minutes for one customer really!! If you ever run into Daryll in the back of the store , Mixed guy with a weird sweater vest kind of stye working tech, ur better off looking for another employe, he was the upmost laziest employee I have seen with in 25 years living. First tried leaving the register when I I was clearly next in line waiting to be helped until I had to call him to come over after leaving. Next Tried telling me a fake policy that I couldn't return something I bought a day prior lol. Took it up to customer service and they did it in one second. I've come on Saturday afternoon, Sunday after morning services and there never seems to be enough cashiers. Self service has 2 or 3 supervising ( mostly just talking among themselves. Self service should be geared for those with a few items and not for the customer with a full cart!! At Meijer many more lanes open with cashiers. You might want to talk to people with full carts. This is my favorite location for Walmart but it is usually busy unless I shop in the morning hours. I will get organized enough one day to use local pickup as I like the convenience. I'm not a big fan of shopping so hubby tends to share the responsibility. He prefers this location also but also goes early morning to avoid crowds. I have a healthy dislike of Wal-Mart. Part of it is morally and the other part are the patron. Wal-mart seems to draw in the worst of the worst in its area. Dirty, disease ridden children, rude and inconsiderate people. On this visit and every visit before - my opinion is re-enforced. Walmart, known for cheap and low prices set up a shop here in Saline after years of battle with local residents. A friend of mine was heading there so I followed to check it out. The building is huge, as big as Meijer, if not bigger! It's a supercenter, meaning they have grocery in addition to all the other things Walmart carries at their store. This night, this place was dead... maybe 50 cars or so at the parking lot, only 3 check out centers open... it felt more like ghost town... I went and checked out the prices on the grocery side of the store. The prices on the meat, etc. were similar to that of Meijer. There were few items that were cheaper... for instance, their chicken drumsticks and thighs were like $5 per large pack... I know at Meijer, it would be like double the price when not on sale... The produce at Walmart were little cheaper as well. Walmart I think has competitors beat on the price of alcohol's. I would say they were anywhere from 50 cents to $2 cheaper then Meijer, Busch's or Kroger. The price of a wine that I like was $4.50 cheaper then Busch's and $4 cheaper then Meijer. For a consumer watching their wallet, I would recommend Walmart. Even though this was my first time there, I think I'll go back, now I know that the wine prices are cheaper :) One thing I did not like about this store... the lighting... it was too dark inside! This Walmart is literally and figuratively heaven on earth. As a Saline high school graduate, I've spent most of my teenage years, roaming down the aisles of Walmart. I've been beside this Walmart since the very beginning, and I will actually die for it. Most people only see the superficial facade that Walmart presents: a grocery store. However, true Salinieans and God-fearing Christians know better. Walmart.....it's just so much more than that. Underneath all of that pretense, lies simply art and culture. Over the years, Walmart has become the hallmark of this small Michigan town. It has become a multi-faceted hub of culture for Saline. Whether it's grocery shopping, prayers, hanging out, or simply picking out a new rifle, Walmart Supercenter has provided more than expected. It is the go-to place for any residents or visitors of Saline. For example, when my cousin (whom I had not seen for 10 years) came to visit my family from China, our first stop was Walmart. I used to say that if I could, I'd automatically give all Walmarts a 1-star rating. That being said, this is the classiest Walmart I've ever been to. I think it's because this is the closest Walmart to the University of Michigan. The customers and staff are friendly. The store is clean. Walmart has everything you could possibly need. Not only that, they also have low prices. Some of the shoppers there can get really annoying, but that happens everywhere. Also, Walmart has a subway inside of it, which can be a decent snack. When I go to Walmart I always make sure to ask if the manager is around, because I enjoy having conversations with him. I thought this was an okay Walmart, and the employees were friendly enough. Drove from Ann Arbor after spending an afternoon driving between Krogers, Meijers, Targets, Busch's, etc. looking for limited edition Oreos to no avail. At home I called this location (first time, let it ring for a whole minute and no one picked up). Eventually someone in grocery was able to confirm that the flavors I was looking for were in stock. When I got there, the first kind of Oreos I wanted weren't on the shelves, but the price tag was. :( Eventually found the other flavor on display in the produce section. I went to customer service to ask if they could check if the first flavor was still in stock, but the employee said something about it being up to the vendor and that I should check back Monday. I probably won't because this store is so far out of the way... but at least I didn't leave empty-handed. read more

Had a friend who found a really amazing deal on toilet paper, 4 rolls per pack, 12 packs per carton, for $2.97. I thought it was too good to be true, but I found it on their website and it had same-day pick-up available at this location. I figured if the deal was a mistake, my order wouldn't go through. Well, it went through. Then I figured if the deal was a mistake, my order would be cancelled. When I checked he website for a status update it said my order was processing. So I was starting to get optimistic. I finally got the confirmation that my order was ready and went to pick it up. When I went to customer service, I was given just a four pack of toilet paper. I showed the cashier my confirmation email for, yes, 4 rolls per pack, but 12 packs per carton! He asked the store manager what to do and she said to call the website support line, and then she left for the day. The cashier was told by website support that it was a glitch in their system and they would not honor it. The fact that the store manager just left without handling the situation fully, and that the store was not willing to honor what their website said really frustrated me. All they were willing to do was give me a refund, which doesn't help with the time I spent placing the order or going to the store for the pick-up. I've never heard of a store that wouldn't honor an ad or a listing on their website. read more

It's Walmart: All the same stuff (from China) and in all the same places. With that constant, some Walmarts do differ...usually by how clean they are; how well the stock is neatly arranged (and maintained); and how helpful the staff is...especially at checkout. Face it...most Walmarts take you longer to check out than the entire you spent shopping (my biggest gripe and obstacle to shopping at Walmart). This location is an exception. On all three of those criteria...this location fares very well. It's clean, clean, clean. The shelves and floors are well kept...no stray items. Best of all, this Walmart location actually seems to staff the checkout line well...perhaps even ahead of crowd surge. read more

First, let's be real. It's a Wal-Mart. It should be judged against other Wal-Mart's, not Whole Foods. That said, sometimes I love going to Wal-Mart (when I need to get something for the lowest possible price) and sometimes I hate going to Wal-Mart (when I need to grab one quick item). Pros: Lots of parking. Low prices. Big store, so lots of stuff. Cons: Long lines to cash out (or you have to check yourself out). Poor produce quality/selection most of the time. And, face it...Wal-Mart somehow manages to attract some crazy people. The last time I was there, there were two guys standing outside the store (in street clothes) loudly selling packs of M&M's. No signage to verify who they were. They weren't happy to take "no" for an answer. I saw them walk after a woman who ignored them. Yikes. I go once in a while. I tend to regret it. As my 4-year old mumbled the last time I told him we were stopping there, "I hate Wal-Mart". read more

I was not happy to learn that Walmart was coming to Saline. I assume it was to take advantage of all that MIS traffic. The parking lot at Farmer Jack's used to fill with RVs when there was a race. Anyway, I was avoiding the place like the plague. Then we decided we needed to find another pharmacy. We're through with CVS, and our neighbor said he uses the pharmacy at Walmart. So we ventured in on a Saturday morning, hoping to find a squeeze ball to rehab my hubby's injured hand. We did not find it, but we did find a dark, unappealing space ... space ... space ... space... Sorry, that was the echo. The floors were very clean, but somehow all I remember is the dim lighting. Is the floor gray in there, or is my memory playing tricks? If I have to describe what Wal-Mart sells, you should probably be on Wikipedia, not Yelp. Since you'll need a description of this particular Wal-Mart to differentiate it from the others, this place is gigantic and very clean, which makes it about four times better than the haunted post-apocalyptic Wal-Mart on the far West side of Ypsilanti. To be more specific, a clean and large Wal-Mart is nice to have in our area because most other communities seem to have these giant Wal-Marts, it's about time Washtenaw County caught up. We already have several Targets, Meijers, Home Depots, and K-Marts, I doubt an extra Wal-Mart is going to suddenly destroy the area. That being said, I treat Wal-Mart a lot like tequila. Every so often it's pretty great, but you make it a habit and it's going to be bad for your overall mojo. I don't have any kind of ethical issues with the corporate side of Wal-Mart, and I'm not politically motivated to dislike Wal-Mart. I just think it's a surprisingly limited store considering how gigantic it is, and it can leads to intense frustration at times. I like a little bit of variety in my grocery stores and a little bit of selection when it comes to specific products like auto parts and computer stuff, and I just don't find that at Wal-Mart. I came here one day because I needed some groceries, a birthday present for a friend, and an air filter for my car. Wal-Mart seemed like the only place in town that could have all of those things, and while I found a few groceries and a good DVD sale, I still had to go to Autozone and Hillers to get everything I needed, and Hillers was selling the yogurt I bought at Wal-Mart for less money. Don't get me wrong, Wal-Mart prices a lot of their goods at garage sale prices, and if you are buying either movies or video games this place can be outrageously cheap. As an owner of a Blu Ray player, I'm very thankful that there's at least one place in town that sells discs at a reasonable price. I also find toys and clothes to be pretty cheap here, although I have witnessed one of my coworkers tear their Wal-Mart pants like a Kleenex, so maybe cheap clothes isn't always a plus... I guess what I'm saying is Wal-Mart is fine for going to a place to see what they have on sale, but it's a tough place to go to get specific things. As a side note, they also have a Subway in the front of the building, and it always smells like yummy Subway sandwiches in this store, which was worth an extra star in my review. read more

My all time favorite place to shop.... Not anymore I encountered a young boy who was pushing carts outside the store. I shit you not he slammed the carts into the side of my car simply because he was not paying attention. Other than that their prices are reasonable and selection is great. This isn't based on Walmart, seeing as they have good service; but there is a subway inside as you enter, and this review is based on that subway. The worker just assumed that we wanted our subs toasted and we had to repeatedly tell him that we wanted just the meat microwaved. As we waited, he was very rude towards us and he didn't even seem to care about what he was doing. When it came time to finish the sandwiches, he didn't even bother to close the toppings inside the sandwich and just proceeded to shove them in the wrapper and the bag. When we opened the sandwiches all of the toppings came out of the sandwich and you pretty much had to eat it with a fork.... I have had way better experiences at other subways and I don't plan on coming back to this one any time soon.... read more

I ordered a bag of rice and my e-mail states this was the origin facility. When I received my rice the bag inside the box was torn open and thus there was rice all over the inside of the box that "leaked" out onto my living room floor. The people who work here are nice folks, but there are times when I have looked in every isle in the food dept. and not found a single employee to help; at 4:00 p.m. Late at night the store is full of customers, but the checkout lines are 10 carts deep, and they never add more open registers. Produce is rotten, cans goods have expired dates, or frightfully as I have noticed lately, there are NO expiration dates on some canned goods, or on frozen products. I have been a shopper at this Walmart location for the last 8 years. For the last year it has gone downhill, regarding fresh produce, well stocked shelves and above all good customer service. Does it really take to much effort to smile, or be pleasant? The last 3 times I have encountered rude, incompetent workers that should have stayed home.
