The pharmacy is home of the slowest and poorest service around. They're generally packed and the staff doesn't seem to give a damn about how long you wait. You can get one of the rude tech's to give you a nonsense answer or accuse you of being a drug addict if you have just come from the Little Clinic. They accused me of getting prescriptions filled at other pharmacies and trying to scam them for a steroid. You filled this somewhere too didn't you!? huh? Poor service all around. I really liked this store much better than the one on Yankee Road who has a very toxic store manager. I was really disappointed when I went to the store on 10/31/23. The store was freezing! I'm use to Kroger being too damn cheap to put heat blowers in their entrances. However, are they now choosing to not provide heat inside of their stores. Kroger pays lip service to customer service, but you can tell they have little respect for them by their actions. I have a distaste for senior management that attempt to sell rotten fruit and vegetables instead of culling them out. ( Yankee Road store ) Do not buy their Kroger brand salads. The ribs on the lettuce is packed in the bags. It has no nutritional value and is discarded by reputable salad producers. Also, pay attention to the salads that are supposed to have radicchio, carrots, purple cabbage, etc.... You'll have to use a magnifying glass to locate them. Maybe the reason they don't have the heat on is to extend the shelf life of their fruits and vegetables. Take my advice, shop at Costco who only sells top shelf fruits and vegetables. read more

I have several thing to say. I have lived in Ohio for 12 years now. I realize I am not back in LA where there are 4 -5 major grocery stores within any given 5 mile radius...thus meaning there is NO competition here. What I have to say applies whether or not there is a covid pandemic going on or not because these issues have existed all this time. 1. Would somebody at this store pleaee attach a key to the pipe controlling the fire hose (yes, fire hose) that is constantly soaking the produce. You need a soft mist once in a while but some fool over there doesn;t trust anyone with a silly key and the lettuce etc is mush so they prefer to trash it. No wonder I go to Jungle Jim'. 2. When after 12 years are you going to stop moving everything around. It is ridiculous the extent to which items show up in different places at any given time. Is there socialism already, who knows. i 3. Tell these silly district managers who come out periodically that they aren;t fooling anyone. Once in a while one of them bags groceries to pretend to get involved. This is BS. The store has biGGer issues than these guys trying to act like they are part of the crew. They stand either by the flowers or the nutritional drink area in a huddle with their arms folded looking around as if they are paying attention or overseeing. Thes men serve no purpose and are merely going through the motions. It is a joke to anyone who has ever managed a serious operation. 4. DO YOU WANT TO SERVE THE CUSTOMER ? Really...well how about this novel (ahem} idea ? There is this small device called a buzzer you can place at the meat counter that we can ring when we want to place an order. This prevents the butcher from constantly having to look out the door to see if a line is forming. Nope, some BS policy will not allow for it. 5. Maybe I would buy some shrimp or fish once in a while if I didn't smell it within 30 feet. This is a major turn off and guess what, how much fish could you have sold if somebody didn;t want to stand and wait for someone to look out the door to help us. Now don't get on the employees about this. This is all due to politicians and management neglect. 6. Finally,. allow the store manager and his/her staff to have a little independence. If you hire real logical pragmatic managers instead of promoting sycophants you will have them....and stop doing what everybody else is doing. 7. STOP filling in holes where product doesn't exist to make it look like the store is running out of product. Let the store manager rather than some person in an office decide how much to order. I know, it is scary for tyhe politicians, but you people have no clue of how many people shop elsewhere because of this , none. If there are holes there is a trason, and putting product there that doesn't belong isn't fooling anyone except YOU. Get real and replace your silly corporate politics with logic and common sense...and pray that competition never arrives because they will force you to do this. 8. Just a note here. Nobody is fooled. This Kroger almost always has stock of items and I always find their employees very kind. Compared to another local Kroger this is 5 stars plus. This would have been 5 stars if not for their pickup option. I selected a predetermined time by them to pick up my groceries, they only have one person working the grocery pickup which is not her fault at all. Sadly I have been waiting more than 50 minutes to pick up groceries. That's my only complaint. Otherwise great store. read more

Kroger Food and Pharmacy - They lie - Drugstores Near Me - Monroe, Ohio

First the negatives about this store. The bottle machines are old not like other grocers in the area with newer, faster machines and they are always full, busy and have a line. They don't do a good job of emptying the machines. Usually, you have to go find someone to empty them. There are not enough bottle machines. Parking is limited. They layout of the store is different. About 50% of the time they have my Pepsi 1893 black can which is a bummer and it is never really on sale even if other Pepsi products are on sale. For these reason at least 50% of the time I go to another grocer if returning bottles or if the other grocer has ALL Pepsi products on sale.Those are my negatives. The positives is the store is usually neat and clean. The bottle room it's self is nice with a sink, paper towels and recycling. I like the have wipes for the cart handles but pretty frequently it is empty which I have especially hate during flu season. They have a private security guard. I think they have good sales, coupons and selections. In regards to the Pharmacy, I found them to be very helpful, and went above and beyond in helping me with an insurance situation. They were very friendly and knowledgeable. The pharmacy was neat and clean and answered all my questions. The pharmacy prices and brands are well priced compared to other pharmacies. Had some old pharmacy items on display which I always find interesting. The Kroger brand is usually pretty good. I like their rewards program better than others grocers programs or lack of and I like the Fuel program and the 50 point survey of your shopping visit online with option to enter in a contest to win money for lack of better words. read more

Construction is finished but everyone is right! This is one crazy store! Strange layout-cut thrus go to places you wouldn't expect. If you follow the back one, you go from beer and wine to customer service. Keep your eyes open and your purse close by, there have been problems at the store. That's why there is a security guard! Police also patrol the parking lot. read more

Shelves are always well-stocked and the staff are helpful. However, it's very chaotic when busy and the parking lot is a bit of a nightmare. Needs more spaces closer to the store and laid out very odd. Still, it's the best grocery store in the area. read more

We went into Kroger and by mistake Kroger gift cards were purchased instead of the Starbucks gift cards we intended to buy. They refused to allow us to return the gift cards so that we may purchase the Starbucks gift card. I will never shop here again. read more

This is my go to store for a few years now. I went there before the remodel and it was always clean and stocked and the staff was always helpful. The new remodel has made shopping time a bit longer but it's well worth it as they have improved the store aisles by making them wider and easier to maneuver around. They have added more health food options which is really nice. I highly recommend more people check them out. The parking lot is always very busy as this is the busiest grocery store I've ever seen. Be very careful when parking and leaving your parking spot. It's always full of people coming and going! read more

Monroe Kroger Pharmacy. I went in to pick up two prescriptions for my son today, March 6, 2020. They were out of one of his prescriptions; No problem... What do we need to do now. I was confused on the protocol of having another pharmacy call Kroger pharmacy to have them release his prescriptions to them. Which made me have to ask the technician twice what exactly It was I needed to do. Myself, coming across confused; Due to the fact that we are exhausted from my son not feeling well I'm sure I sounded upset. From that moment on the pharmacy tech was short and abrasive with her tone. She avoided eye contact and dismissed my questions and the fact that I was standing there. As I'm on the phone with the NEW Pharmacy she walks away and isn't able to help me with the questions they have for me. (In this moment She was Not professional at all in my opinion). Once again, I needed help with the specifics on the script and the technician that was helping us in the first place treated my questions as a Nuisance..... Thankfully another technician gave me their phone number so the new pharmacy could call Monroe Kroger Pharmacy. The whole point of the conversation in the first place... KROGER pharmacy tech-LETS take a step back and consider your customers..... my son and I do not frequently visit any Pharmacy... especially yours and we have no idea what the protocols are or how our prescriptions should be filled. We NEED YOU to do your job and help in this situation. I realize your establishment is busy and you have other people to assist. However, when a mother is there for her ill child and you tell her you're out of what they need a LITTLE COMPASSION & UNDERSTANDING goes a long way to help and answer their questions POLITELY!! The cashiers I have encountered are ALWAYS rude. On two separate occasions the cashier has thrown my groceries including chips, and slammed the eggs!
