If you had a minus rating, I'd use it...(Amazing how many of your former customers are starting their reviews with similar words. In former days, you could access all the "deals" and coupons directly thru the loyalty card, with also took care of fuel points... Now since y ou rcorporate nincompoops have taken the tack of :do it our way or get out of the store, things are convoluted, and making a purchase which involves any kind of discount is a task worth of Cissiphus! Now you have to have an app for everything, and most of the apps do not work... sooooo instead of being in andout of the store in a half hour with $300 in groceeries and incidentals, and a full tank of gas at a nice discount, you end up with about $30 in groceries because you can't access the deals because your apps do not work... Clearly you have no idea of how irritating this is... Your staff knows, but corporate is too stupid and too arrogant to listen to anything anyone says. Now it's an hour and a half to get anything done, you have to have everything you want uploaded to your Kroger app which does not work...you don't get the fuel points...they want you to buy 5 of things you do not want to get a discount on the one you do want...si you loose 6 purchases right there. Money's tight and people no longer buy things the don't need to what they do need. They go to Wal Mart or Harps. Your meat's good, but it is not worth hours of my time and disappointment when the store doesn't have what they advertise, and prefer to use the old "bait and switch" approach, which is by the way illegal.. Most of the time though discount isn't applied because your damn apps do not work... Are we seeing a pattern here? We have four Kroger stores in the Hot Springs area and they are all having the same problems. If it's that way in this market, it's that way elsewhere, and the stock report confirms that. You've gone from one of the best ratings to the bottomo of the bin, because of bad management and trying to force customers to jump thru hoops... Wal Mart tried that for about a calendar quarter some years ago... the old "If we don't have it, you don't need it" campaign... Their customer base abandoned them and their stock took a huge dip... Now they are into customer service and they are back on top again... they'll be taking over your stores soon enough... Your clerks and stockers are universally in a bad mood from having had to deal with very angry customers... i used to have and see people with fully loaded carts, now there are just a very few items in most of the carts I see leaving the store... You can complain, but the complaints are unheard. Management cleararly doesn't give a ratzazz about what the customers want. I have just spent 5 count em 5 hours with three techs to try to get a damn app installed... No luck... I understand why your stock which up to a year ago, was one of the top rated, is in the toilet.... People do not have time to jump through a hundred hoops to spend money... You have alienated most of your customers...especially the ones who working, making money and do not have time to putz around looking for deals that do not exist, on apps that do not work. Before whatever idiot took over your marketing came in, I bought about $300 a week plus gas... My cart was always loaded... this week which will be my last time EVER to have ANYTHING with that chain, was 30.25 plus $10 in gas...the rest of the budget went to Sams and Wal Mart and the produce buy went to Harps. I am now a Harp's customer and will NEVER EVER do business with Kroger's again... except to shop your going out of business sale. Take a look at all the other one star reviews just on this site...They tell the tale of WHY people don't use your store for more than pick items... Then fire the idiot who came up with this bull, ( because keel hauling is not legal in this day and age) OR YOU WILL BE HAVING A GOING OUT OF BUSINESS SALE... And for gods sake, quit hiring somedy's nephew to run things... At this point, I wouldn't go to Krogers if they gave me the entire store... manager at the Kroger mall is dissmissive and does not follow up with issues. Deanna or something similar. when you call this store and someone eventually answers the phone it's not unusual to hold 10-15 and still be on hold. also when I purchase groceries for pick up I've had to toss out things as they are outdated. I explained this to a manager today and she said she would look into that. seriously thinking of shopping elsewhere and we spend a lot of money on groceries and gas at this location. This seemed like your basic grocery store. We don't have this brand of store where I'm from, so I would compare it to a SuperValu's or Cub foods. We were staying at a local residence hotel and bought some fruit, deli chopped veg, deli made ribs, bagged popcorn and bottled water. The deli ribs and veg were delicious, as were the southern peaches and blueberries. We did buy a carton of silk chocolate milk that was more like pudding and smelled bad, so we took it back and they refunded our money, no problem. We did self check out and the guy in charge asked us if we would like him to scan our big package of water (since they don't have the scanning gun like at my local Target) and otherwise we would have had to lift it out and scan it. That was sweet and he was super friendly too when we asked him to remove the package of salami we thought was $5.99, but rung up at $15.99 (we misread the sign.) I knew this wouldn't be perfect, but hello??? A child would have at least looked at the "use before date" on a loaf of bread, especially since I purchased 2 loaves. I finally placed my first online curbside pickup, after toying with the idea for well over 2 years. On the 3rd day after my curbside pickup; the fresh ears of corn was going bad and tomatoes were soggy! Oh and back to the bread, picked up order on Sept. 20 and as I put groceries away I noted the 2 loaves of bread expired the following day, Sept 21. I have no clue as to why I would award them with a star, very undeserving. The photo shows 2 T Bone steaks with a price of $38.00 + dollars. Well we never froze this product, seasoned it to our desire...then properly grilled....the smell of this grilling was awesome, my mouth watered...Grrrrr other than the filet portion the meat was like eating a leather boot. I had expected quality met at the price shown...we typically drive out of town to purchase our meats at ALDI.....i will never trust Kroger again with my money. This is a nice big grocery store. In some ways better than the Sweetbays & Publix in Florida. Many of the prices were good, especially in the produce section. A stunning bummer: the wine section. It is literally 8 feet long and has only cheap jug wine. WTF? Nothing even an average wine drinker would consider drinkable. I just don't get it. Major demerits, I'm afraid. read more

Kroger as a whole is an unimpressive grocery shopping experience but this Kroger location brings food shopping to a new level. The atmosphere is generally uncomfortable. From the moment you walk in you notice an aura of unhappiness and friction among the employees. They and management obviously do not function well together. The produce department is under stocked and not fresh. Shelves are stocked generally with the Kroger brand giving the customer no choice. The cheese department and it's manager Cindy do well to work within this environment. I cannot comment on the meat and seafood departments as I stopped buying this at Kroger years ago after I purchased a GROSS piece of meat. Every time I shop here I leave feeling angry; therefore, when in Hot Springs I have opted to shop at Walmart. Now that says something! read more

Your cashier Charles was too chatty with the man checking out in front of us. He purchased 1 case of beer and it took almost ten minutes. Charles then starts scanning our items and scans the grapes twice (1 pkg) and the cucumber (1) four times. He kept trying to get us to sign up for a Kroger card. We told him repeatedly we were here on vacation for two days and we're not interested. He got snippy with us The bagger Mahogany told him twice we weren't interested and he told her to be quiet. You should fire Charles and promote Mahogany to cashier. She has the better personality to deal with customers. Kroger is a fairly large grocery store food chain in Arkansas. Not huge like the the Safeway's and Lucky's we have here in California, but big for that neck of the woods so to speak.. Believe it or not this store is the very first grocery store that I experience self check out. I remember at the time, which of course was many years ago, I thought it was strange but being the geek that I am I had to go through the self check to see what it was all about. What I did notice is that the grocery prices of Kroger's was a lot cheaper then our large grocery store chains here in the bay area. If your in Hot Springs, Arkansas stop in at Kroger's. read more

I came close to giving this store 3 stars but could not justify the additional star. My primary issues are with produce, steaks, pork chops along with breads and muffins. The store is just like any other, canned and frozen foods....the produce lacks quality...hot house tomatoes are not at all like fresh farm grown... tasteless as well as most items in the produce area. My recent English Muffins were hard, Jewish Rye bread was blah..... Meats and pork were also tasteless unless spiced up to taste something...but without spices it is like they all taste the same. I sure wish we had an Aldi nearby. read more

I love Kroger but am very disappointed in what they have done to this location.. they have done away with the organic section (which is why I shop there), worked the items into other isles, discontinued items, and put liquor where organics were they have also taken out all but maybe 2 regular checkouts and replaced all others with TERRIBLE self-checks. They did a very good job with the renovations. Now there's a great specialty cheese section and an expanded and well-marked organic / natural foods section. Their food selection, especially the fresh produce, isn't very good. They carry only a small selection of fresh chilis, they don't have fresh lemongrass, often don't have fresh basil except growing in pots, and don't carry fresh bean sprouts. I do like the idea of a fresh sushi section, but there are a lot of fried ingredients in the sushi. Their management is super - their employees are friendly and offer to help. They also offer to bake per request. Overall a good store with standard products and great service. read more

There's more organic produce now. Had some great beets and arugala. Would like to see some traffic flow control at the fuel station. Most cars have a fuel door on the left/driver side; mine doesn't. If you do too you'll see how hard it is just to get in to fuel. Some arrows painted on the ground would make it easier. read more

My favorite grocery store. There is a wide selection of food items, including organic fruits and vegetables. There is also an organic section for frozen food, dairy, cereal, etc. Produce is always fresh. I've noticed lately that prices have been reduced, and you can earn points to discount gas at their pumps. read more

Love this Kroger! The employees work really hard ! The deli employees go beyond to please a customer ! The salad bar is fresh At 11am the sandwich deli fresh At 11am .they serve community coffee. LOVE my Kroger store. It is out near the mall and my bank. It has of course food, groceries but you can also send money or pay your bills. which i do every month. They also have friendly workers. Cat and Marie. Ginger and the others are great. They always ask if I found everything ok. which i can shop that store blind folded. If your in a long line they come and open a new one and take the very next person in line not the one at the end..which is super cool. Love the 10 cents to 1.00 off. So far ive gotten 20 cents off alot!! And sign up for their saving card..well worth it.. read more

Kroger was the grocery store that my family frequented during our trip to Arkansas. They have great selection of grocery items at low prices. The staff that I encountered here are very friendly. I was very impressed to find fresh jackfruit here. We also filled up at the gas station and saved a few cents using the store card. read more

normally I would give the store a 5 but not today....first the cashier (a male) needed a bath and clean clothes not to mention some personal grooming.....I've had him bag my groceries another time and the smell was revolting. next, a container of Kroger Rolls exploded today when I opened them, only to fine the expiration date July 8 2018...Nasty... on a positive side the produce clerk putting up watermelons was so nice to take the time to go into the back and bring out more of the Gala apples that were on sale but the bin was empty....thank you sir. The one by the mall is extremely nice. Great selection. The one by the racetrack is really old and ghetto. And the airport road location is in need of a remodel and its definitely showing its age. I live in Florida so I haven't visited the stores in awhile. All in all a convenient place to shop but the employees are rude and the two oldest stores need a remodel badly. read more
