This Kroger is a great location for our family to grab the essentials and we can count on good service and decent prices. The food is fresh and the organic produce section is adequately stocked although we wish they offered more wholesome prepared foods. The staff is most helpful, always moving through the aisles willing to help anyone looking for an item and they go the extra mile when checking us out; offer assistance with getting the groceries to and into the car. I liked their other store location set up a little better but they have made many improvements and the gentleman manager on site is always looking to improve on customer service so they get 5 stars from me. read more

I was pretty impressed the first time I went to this "king of all krogers". I do like their fresh produce as they are able to carry a large variety because of their high volume and little individual stands for deli or ramen. I don't care for the seafood section because I find the quality to be the same with all other krogers. But then I remember I'm shopping at a Kroger after all. So over all this is a pretty good pimped up version of your neighborhood Kroger. read more

Be every careful at this store; DOUBLE CHECK your expiration dates. About two weeks ago, I purchased Sausage Crumbles from the Germantown TN Kroger. When I got it home and went to use it, I noticed the expiration date was over a month earlier. I dismissed it as a fluke and tossed it. Yesterday, I purchased some Jello tapioca puddings in a four-pack. Last night we were going to have two; the EXPIRATION DATE WAS DECEMBER 2019!!!!!!! At this point, I was very upset. I returned it with my receipt. At the service desk; the clerk took it, gave me a credit, and handed me a new receipt without a word of apology or anything else!!! It gets better. She called back to refrig section, and told them to check the products. I then went back to the section, and I saw that there was absolutely no sense of urgency that two-month-out-of-date dairy products were being sold to unsuspecting customers - there was NOT ONE employee in the dairy/milk section ANYWHERE to be found. I went to the tapiocas and picked up 4 more expired 4-packs ranging in dates from NOVEMBER 2019!!!!!! TO JANUARY 2020!!!! TODAY is February 11! I have never been so disgusted in a Kroger store! I took the packs to Service Desk and told her to call the store manager; his response when he looked at the dates was, "Wow! I'm sorry!" To which I responded, "I hope some mother is not feeding her poor young children pudding cups that are spoiled due to the negligence of your staff." This is unacceptable and irresponsible on the part of Kroger. You need to get your act together in Germantown, TN asap. I've started relying on Whole Foods and Trader Joe's. I came to this Kroger last night because I happen to be near.. while shopping I noticed they had a bigger selection than my local Kroger and thought it might be worth a trip over here for the groceries every now and then. So I did my shopping.. the last item I walk up on is the Ozarka water, sitting at the front entrance with a sign stating '$3.99 or Buy 5, Save 5' This was literally the last item I put in my cart, walked straight over to the self check out. The cashier, seemed like it was her first day when I asked if she could scan my 5 cases of water for me, needless to say that didn't get done and I scanned them myself. So they ring up for $4.69/ea, I call the cashier and tell her. She says she has to send someone over there, she send Carol, who comes back with a sign saying $4.69 and says "that this is the only sign over there," I tell her no, and walk to show her... she has taken the sign down. Mind you, there wasn't even a 5min gap between me putting the water in my cart and the worker going over to look. I start getting a bit upset because, me and my wife saw the sign, debated whether we needed the water or not, which we did not, but it was a good deal so I was going to take advantage, and now I'm being looked at and talked to like I'm trying to pull a fast one on them so I ask for a manager. This guy was dumber than the employees. We go through the exact same process as we did with Carol with the conclusion being that they are $4.69 right now and that's what I have to pay for them. I start getting pretty pissed at this point, because it seems like Carol made a mistake and forgot to take her sign down, so when we sent her over there to check the price the mistake was realized and corrected, only to come back like I'm the one talking crazy. I talk with the manager for several minutes explaining to him that the sign was literally took town within the last 5min and pleading for him to watch the cameras if he doesn't believe me, his response "I'm working, I don't have time to watch cameras." He offers me one case at $2.99 and they rest at $4.69. I laugh and told them to keep all the groceries. I will never be back to this Kroger! It would have cost Kroger $5 to make me happy, instead all 3 employees acted like I was lying and trying to steal water! Worst customer service ever!! read more

All I can say is AWESOME!!! They just renovated this grocery store and it's great! They have a Corky's now, Starbucks, a sushi bar, a juice bar, awesome pizza counter, Murray's cheese shop and A GROWLER STATION!!! to name a few upgrades! I think it is neat that they have a station with a grill to try samples of seafood and meat too!! It will take me a while to find everything in this place but well worth it! Oh and the staff seemed very friendly which is always a plus for me. I hate seeing people working at grocery stores that obviously hate their jobs- you have to be there so just smile! Haha read more

Unlike seemingly every other Kroger deli in the Memphis city limits, this Kroger has a deli that is genuinely happy to serve you. Great selection and service. The produce and meats section has more options than most and everything is reasonably priced. This makes for a great grocery shopping experience: the kind that makes you drive out of your way just to go to this location. read more

A wonderful cafe style food court awaits shoppers or diners! Second time we've visited here but first on Friday night where Corky's BBQ has a special fried catfish dinner. Surprise of surprises, it is absolutely excellent! We ordered extra crispy with Corky's seasoned fries and slaw (hush puppies come with it). Tony Brown is the manager here (Barry Pelts should be proud of this man) what a delight to see someone who loves their job and takes pride in serving the best - daughter and her husband ordered ribs and BBQ plates - both tender and moist as we have come to expect here in the BBQ capital! Naturally this is very casual with even outdoor tables but we will remember to order take out!! This is from someone who has travel for the past 44 years and know a bit about restaurants. read more

This place is magnificent. First of all they have alot of places built in to it. Examples include a Starbucks and a Corky's BBQ. Second I will talk about the actual place. It is very large and it has all the things I was looking for. They also have SO many fruits and even a place where they sell fruit juice! A very good place I would recommend if you want to go grocery shopping. read more

This is a fake, wanna-be Kroger that used to be a Schnucks. I don't call it a real Kroger because it has not been redone to look like a Kroger. It still looks like a Schnucks. First of all, it was very stupid for Kroger to put a store here when they just remodeled the one right around the corner on Exeter. This store also does not have nearly as good a selection of items as the other one. I will avoid this store and continue to go to the real Kroger on Exeter until they remodel it to make it look like a Kroger and can have higher quality products. The only people who might like this store are people who came here when it was a Schnucks and are used to the layout. read more

I use this Kroger twice a week and the lady at the self-scan is always rude and confrontational. It doesn't bode well for your customer service when an employee rolls her eyes and mumbles something under her breath upon asking for assistance. read more

I. HATE. KROGER. This is a formally very nice Schnucks location that was filled with wonderful employees. There is a Kroger one street away that you can see from the parking lot that was recently redone. For some reason, Schnucks left Memphis, leaving Kroger as a Monopoly, being the only middle-class, locations all around, grocery store. For a crazier reason, Kroger chose to keep this location and not convert the other Schnucks location on the other side of Germantown. This Kroger is literally horrible and has nothing is comparison with the other Kroger that you can see from the parking lot, and especially Schnucks. One time they were out of bread! Multiple times they have lacked basic products that all grocery stores should have! The people who work here-not all of them-but some are not very nice and can be quite rude. Most Kroger brand food is also disgusting. I did like their store brand nature valley chewy granola bars, but they just downsized. Their little travel size packs of trail mix were good, but when Kroger rebranded their products, the quality declined! I try my best not to go to Kroger. There is a Walgreens across the street that I will go to if I just need one thing. Sometimes it make no sense to drive to Target by the other old Schnucks though, so I end up here. Also, checkout here is no so speedy like the Kroger brand claims, as there are hardly any aisles and hardly any are ever open and it is just SLOW compared to many other stores I have been to. It probably will not because Memphis is not the wealthiest area, but I really Hope Publix comes to at least Germantown, because I will go there! It is also worth mentioning that Kroger hired a lot of new people and did not rehire some Schnucks employees. Horrible. Do not shop here. And good luck finding anything, because they completely reorganized all the aisles and they may not even have what you want! Go to SuperTarget or Publix in Nashville before here! I enjoy this store. I love the variety products and the fact that Sushi is made onsite along with a Juice Bar! I really enjoy the outdoor eating area as well. Super Kroger! read more
