Fair prices and good deals! I'm perplexed why this store has such negative reviews. It is always clean and organized. The produce is decent, the meat department often has deals, and the selection for everything else (shelf stable, frozen, alcohol) is huge. Better quality and prices than competitors, tbh. Besides, it's a union shop and the workers are friendly and seem genuinely happy to work here. I like that you get points towards fuel prices. I save a lot on gas with the monthly discount since gas prices keep rising. Plus there's often cool extras out front, like grilled ribs on game day or Girl Scout cookies. The only drawbacks are that it can take a while to process returns and they don't have all the recycling bins for bags and things that others have. read more

I went on 8/31 @12:12pm and there was a caucasian Lady, looks like 20's or 30's. Sandy brown hair and plus size. She was at self check out and I was trying to get her attention because I needed help. I had stop because I saw that she was with kids and assumed that she was maybe helping them but their father was right there she was just holding a conversation with them while there was a line. So I said hey excuse me and she looked at me land ignored me and then went back to her conversation. Once finished someone else said excuse me and she went to helped them promptly. I won't go on and say that it was the color of my skin ( at least I don't want to) however, she made it very obvious given the situation. I don't know WHAT is going on at this store, but it seems to be falling apart. We've been good customers for years and have decided to stop shopping at Kroger St. Andrews. Lately, the store is out of most of the things we need. I could not find a single can of whole cranberry around the holidays, the produce (cilantro, parsley, dandelion greens, lettuces) is drenched with so much water (from the fake "rain") that it's often rotten/black/mushy on the shelves. I'll make the drive to Whole Foods to purchase produce that is NOT black and rotting, and the gluten-free and organic items that we need. Their markup on wine is also ridiculous. If Kroger claims a $24.99 bottle is marked down to $19.00, the same wine often costs $14-$15 at Green's. Supermarkets are the worst places to try to buy decent wine. They invent fake prices so the customer thinks they're getting a 'deal' from the 'markdown.' And cashiers tell me that Kroger refuses to even consider Apple Pay "because most of our customers are old and would never understand how to use it." Assuming that all older people can't grasp this simple technology is discriminatory. Buh bye Kroger! read more

Absolutely the worst grocery store I've ever been to. I felt like I was in an old Sam's Club with the cratered floors. The aisles were much too crowded to shop comfortably. The employees are the rudest people I have ever encountered. Ask them a question and they act like you are bothering them. We bought hamburger to grill cheeseburgers tonight and they had no flavor whatsoever. I thought Food Lion was bad but this was horrible. It had no flavor at all (and I did nothing different than I always have). The last time I shopped this Kroger was in 1983 (yes, it was that long ago). It was pretty good then. Tried it again today and I will never come back. A truly horrible experience. read more

Full size Kroger for your full size shop. This store is open 24 hours. Excellent beer/wine section, massive frozen section and I think the produce section was not as big as a store this size deserves. Prices were good, perhaps a bit higher than Wal-Mart but a better shopping experience. For example, all the wheels on my shopping cart actually worked. read more

Dishonest sales and unhelpful staff. The weekly ad shows that briskets are on sale for $1.99/lb. Knowing this would be a popular item and having showed up in the past just to find out they were out of stock, I decided to call first. I called and talked to someone in the meat department and he was less than helpful. He said he doesn't "think" they have any briskets in stock and didn't bother to check to see if his information was correct. Not only that, I asked when they would have more and he said he had absolutely no idea if they'll get any more in before the sale is over. Throughout the entire conversation, he sounded like he hated his job and didn't want to be talking to me. I thought speaking to a manager would be more helpful, so I called back and said I wanted to speak to a manager. I don't think the person that answered the phone was one, but when I told her the situation, she told me the manager would just tell me to talk to the meat department. From my perspective, it seems they're just putting a dishonest sale in their ad to get people into the store. To be clear, I never expected the briskets to be in stock when I called, but I did expect someone in the meat department to be able to tell me when the next shipment was supposed to come in. I would highly recommend for the manager of the meat department to spend some time with our local Food Lion store's meat department. They are way more knowledgeable and are able to give accurate information. read more

Like most stores they have added a self checkout section which means less cashiers who know what they are doing meaning longer checkout lines and times. The store has a mold smell to it and parts of the building look like they are falling apart. The restrooms are look like someone set off a sh!t bomb. The store needs a remodel and and upgrade. The only saving grace is the associates are friendly and helpful. read more

I work at the pet store in the same parking lot, I go here every morning for my energy drink and breakfast, on Sundays when I work I get a coffee and danish from the Starbucks. Everyone is always so nice and quick to ask if you need any help. Self check out makes it so much faster so I can get what I need and get to work. STARBUCKS in KROGER :05 8/1/2020, I just had a bad experience with a barista named Katlin. She was so nice and friendly to the customers in front of me. While making their drinks she talked and laughed with them. That's the friendly environment that I'm used to. When the 2 ladies left she said "bye" and started on my ice coffee. She didn't acknowledge me or say hello. She talked to other people in line over my head as if I wasn't there. I didn't receive any of the friendliness that the white ladies ahead of me did. I am a black female dressed in jeans and an old t-shirt with a baseball call. She poured my coffee a little low so I asked her if she could add some more. She got mad finished the drink put it on the counter without a straw, napkin, or any words. I had to reach over the counter and ask for a napkin but not before saying "excuse me I'm sorry for bothering you but can I please have a napkin?" Even though she was closer, someone else have it to me. This was a hurtful experience because I knew that she was prejudice against me. read more

Today, my aunt is getting married. We ordered her bouquet from Kroger on St. Andrews Road in Irmo, SC. We went to pick it up and it was "misplaced". Later, we found out that the wedding bouquet that she ordered was SOLD! How can you sell a bouquet that was intended for someone else?!?! This is absolutely unacceptable. And in an attempt to correct the situation, they made a replacement bouquet and it is ugly as hell. We as a family will not ever support this store again. read more

I have shopped in this Kroger since the day it opened and have always thought it was a great store. The prices and food selection are good, the staff are generally helpful, (no Publux but ok.) However, I really am questioning continuing to shop there due to the negligence of the management regarding the enforcing of mask wearing. Other stores have a person or sign at the door, Kroger has nothing. I complained about it on my trip this afternoon as was told by staff that they are instructed not to say anything to the customer without masks. Good plan, kill off some oldies but insure your profit margin. Wise up, no one but idiots think this is ok. read more

I shop at this grocery store most often. They have the best prices and the fruits and veggies are always fresh. My favorite thing to get are their fresh-baked cinnamon rolls. I also really enjoy the Kroger app and the Free Download Fridays! They are more than happy to give their customers a "rain check" for sale items that they no longer have in stock. There are a lot of choices of grocery stores in irmo. I have tried them all. My wife and I have two toddlers and we have found that kroger is the best grocery store that has everything for the family. The prices are consistently at or below others, the produce is consistently fresh, great seafood, and they always have really good sales. Kroger has a great has reward program. I have been to other grocery stores in town, gotten frustrated, and walked out just to go back to kroger. read more

This store sucks . They don't accept credit cards at all on those machines at the check out there is no option for credit on debit cards . This is only store in the united states that does not give a credit option . And the managers response was "I cant help you " . So I will no longer give Kroger my hard earned money for groceries . Wake up this is 2016 not 1926 . I wanted to follow up on this review . It took Kroger a whole week to reply back to us , and when they did they were not professional at all with the person who emailed did not bother to use her last name . Large store with a deli, bakery, sushi, pharmacy, Starbuck's & organic food section. Good customer service. Bank of America atm. Only problem I encountered, lines are often long & the store overly crowded with shoppers that may be because the aisles are narrow. read more

What a horrible customer experience it is to go to Kroger's. Discounts do not show up when one goes to the register. The self-serve units are almost always in a "wait for assistance mode." If it weren't that the place is right next to my house and price are generally lower, I would never go there. And, oh, don't buy watermelons or cantaloupes there unless you love to go back just to return the uneatable produce. read more

This store is consistently out of items that should be on their shelves. When I spoke to staff at the service desk, I was told they don't have enough staff working to restock the shelves in a timely manner. I've had to ask several times that items I need be retrieved from the stock room and brought to the shelves. This seems to happen most often in frozen foods and dairy. One time there wasn't any cottage cheese of any brand on the shelf. Another time they were out of all flavors of a certain ice cream brand. I found it particularly disturbing that when approached by the service desk staff for help, a frozen foods manager (who was getting coffee at the in-store Starbucks at the time) said he couldn't help because he wasn't working that day. I go past this Kroger every day on my way home from work, but I've found myself driving the extra couple miles to Publix because I know they'll have the items I need on their shelves. read more
