Very few registers open with long lines and produce section is not being stocked regularly. The organic carrot bin is usually empty, and the mushrooms often have spots on them. I have had to start buying more produce from Publix lately. They are always stocked. read more

poor customer service. Went to store well before closing. before 10pm. closes at 11pm. I wasted my time, drive and to patiently wait in electronics section to be told no one in the store has keys to electrics section. no store manager on site either because they both leave several hours before closing. I'm stunned at the one star negative reviews. I've been to the Walmart in Columbia off Harbison and after going there, this Walmart looks like Nordstrom! The staff is always kind and helpful, I always find what I need and see people stocking shelves, it's neat and tidy, and parking is never an issue. This is a great Walmart y'all. read more

2/9/2020, Dutch Fork Walmart. Went here for a TV today. Went to the electronic section, and my husband walked up to the girl working back there who was standing around talking to her friends (which fine, not the issue). When he politely says "excuse me mam" to get her attention she turned and just looked at him as if he was an inconvenience and literally says nothing. Noting. Just a smug stare . She then walks over to where the tv is dragging her feet with her arms crossed. From there it was like pulling teeth to get her to talk to us, let alone help us. The best part was when her friend, not even an employee, walks over to continue their conversation in the middle of this girl "helping us". It was as if we weren't even standing there. Unreal. I also asked for a manger, because I could tell she didn't care to help us, thinking we'd have better luck. Nope. She went to get the manger, but I guess they didn't want to come help either. We've been to all the Walmart locations in the Columbia area, and they're all like this. We avoid Walmarts at all cost, but every now and then we have to go in this God forsaken place. Like today, because they had a great deal on this TV. Left empty handed because per usual nobody wants to help. So gross. It's a running joke that the standard of employees for Walmart is the lowest of the low. Those people high up clearly don't give a shit about who they hire. You guys are the worst. read more

I used to send my prescriptions to Walmart on Dutch Fork Road as I knew the Pharmacy Manager and service was prompt, friendly, and cost effective. I even received some of my vaccinations there. This week, I decided that I just couldn't continue coming there. People speak to you in the pharmacy as though you are an idiot and they are too busy to be bothered. The pharmacist on duty wanted to tell me that getting vaccinated did not 100 percent guarantee one wouldn't contract that illness--wow, you think? When is any vaccination coming with a 100 percent guarantee? They also don't think that "regular" people know the difference between herpes simplex and herpes zoster (shingles).....I was shuffled over to the pharmacy tech in the window to complete the paperwork for my shot. There was a young lady who could care less and couldn't be bothered. After telling me she thought I needed to have a prescription for a shingles shot, I told her I would call my doctor right away to request it. Her response, "Good luck with that!" I don't need snarky from anyone--friendly doesn't always happen, but civil and not snarky works in customer service. How do you respond to that comment? You don't. I left but I will never go back in that store, much less the pharmacy. read more

Im not a fan of Walmart in general. This one is clean and orderly as far as Walmart's go but I have to say, I'm really tired of being forced through self serve lines where I have to pay with a card. If I want to pay with cash, I can go to the one line open with a bazillion people in it and buggies full of items. I only had 4 but wanted to pay with cash. read more

I hate this place!! But for some reason I'm always in here for something. I can never find an associate to help me and there's always something I've picked up without a price tag... it's messy and over stocked. The aisles are full of pallets from stockers, to the point of blocking products I'm trying to buy. It's just not conveying any way. I purchased a Black/Wine color Mr. Coffee. Walmart states it will not refund my money even with the receipt. I have replaced the same Coffee pot 3 times within 2 months. Customer service told my husband that he could not get a different Coffee pot. And if he wanted to complain about having to replace the Coffee pot, he needs to complain to the manufacturer. This is sad that I have been having to run back and forth 3 times within 2 months about a Coffee pot. And to be told complain to the manufacturer and not them. Avoid Grocery pickup at this location on Fridays especially the 7-8 pm slot. They seem to be very disorganized. We were ask our last name four times and no one would answer the number to pickup.. We waited and hour for our order and it was still in processing status at 8.. So basically the order hadn't be selected yet! Was ordered 8 hours prior to schedule pickup also. Sadly there were 9 other cars waiting with us and the grocery pickup is open 8-8. We ended up canceling the order.. After three incidents like this.. I won't be using their services again.. so thanks but no thanks on the 15 off my next order. Get it together! read more

Bathrooms don't ever seem to be clean. Regardless of which bathroom you go into, the toilets always have poop in them and the floors are dirty. No matter what time of day you are there. Bring back K-Mart, there crappers we're clean! read more

This Walmart is always dirty, outside and inside. I felt a need for a shower last time I went there. The worst thing is that they don't seem to have a system to stock what customers actually buy. That seems simple enough to keep track of but they obviously don't. They r always out of items which means a wasted trip. The employees act so miserable that it's sad to see them. Everyone else is spot on- the shelves are rarely stocked. I can't remember the last time I went there and left with everything I needed. The guys who are supposed to be stocking can be found at the back near the dairy section joking and carrying on. The shelves that do have items are a mess of misplaced things and empty containers. Typical small town mega store with slow customer service and messy displays.

Phone center was very unhelpful. They look at you and run the other way. When someone finally came over to help ( after at least 3 employees noticed I was standing there and did nothing) I'm told "I don't know what's going on with your phone, but I can't make it work or refund your money even though you bought it here". The people who work in the electronic department should have at least a small amount of knowledge about electronics. These people do not. Horrible customer service. read more

I go here a lot because it is very close to home/work. They are ALWAYS out of some key thing I am in there for. I used the pick up app for curbside groceries for the first time today. The app works fine and the person bringing out the groceries was prompt and friendly. However, she notified me there was not any butter or cream cheese. That is the main reason why I went there. I asked if there was another brand she can give me besides what I ordered. She talked briefly on her headset to the boss and they told me no there was not. How can the entire store be out of cream cheese and butter? So I told her to put all the groceries back and give me a refund. I then went in the store and proceeded to buy butter and cream cheese. They are fat liars! Just because they did not have the Walmart brand, they did not want to bring out a higher priced one. They state they will substitute when available even if it is higher priced. That is a fat lie! Also, if I was notified online when I was ordering the items that it was out of stock, I would have just chosen something else anyways. Because of the lack of another store close by and my time constraints, I was forced to buy from the Ballentine store. I tell you, I will not use the app again to buy groceries because they will not make a substitution. They should at least notify you ahead of time vs. when they bring it out. I could've picked it up somewhere else as I was waiting for hours for them to fill my order. read more
