I Come to this Kroger all the time. Only ever have one register open. Today, came in at 3pm with my 2 young children. one register open with a nice older lady that talks to everyone she rings up for a prolonged period( which is fine and dandy when the store is not busy). line of 15 in the u scan and line of 6 at register. they finally opened a second register as I'm loading my shit on the conveyer. literally took 15 minutes to ring up the lady in front of me as they talked about movies, daily activities, life, etc..... by the time it got me me i had been in the line with my kids for now going on 40 minutes, and every other person that came well before me had already paid and left. you have to have a balance between customer service and efficiency ( AKA i just want to talk to someone) as mentioned in other reviews the short haired lady at the u scan is a bitch........ read more

I have never had a seamless encounter with the self-checkout lanes at any Kroger in the Greater Cincinnati area. From bringing my own bags to using coupons to scanning the items, there is always an issue or two requiring Kroger associate intervention. I seem to continually leave every Kroger store with frustration or anger. On the contrary, I don't think I've ever left the Walmart self-checkout lanes feeling frustrated or irritated. Perhaps my Kroger loyalty is misguided and I should start grocery shopping at Walmart. Kroger, please learn some lessons from Walmart. Oh, and I don't need to be told after every single item I scan to put my item in the bag. If you want to chastise me for being forced to do YOUR job, perhaps get rid of the self-checkouts and open more cashier lanes. This Kroger is small and old but it is my favorite Kroger. Always friendly pretty much always have my items in stock. I wish all the Kroger locations were like this one. I do not recommend, however, the location in Miami township. Not very friendly. Always out of something. If you live in Loveland I highly recommend the old Kroger. It has been several years since ive been inside this location, however I recently decided to give them a try for clicklist, as I was going to be in the area. I have had such a horrible time with this service at every single other Kroger I have tried. Unfortunately other drive up competitors don't necessarily have certain items or produce that is as fresh. So I hesitantly decided to try again. From start to finish this was THE ONLY time I have used Clicklist with no issues! I placed my order and was able to schedule a pickup time that was not that far in the future. I arrived and was the only person there for pickup. A super friendly employee came right out. I was shocked to find that they had everything I requested! Not even any substitutes were needed! She actually nicely placed my bags in the bins in my trunk too! Perhaps this location is smaller and might not have the full selection of one of the Kroger Marketplaces, but they have had everything I need! read more

Roberta who works there by self checkout bothers me every time I come in like I'm gonna rob the place she is like always hovering over my shoulder like a bitch got on me bc my little sister was scanning items and scanned the lighters for candles. This has occurred multiple times where she has said rude or bitchy comments and hovered over me as I tried to scan things. read more

I ordered two cakes for my kids. I wasn't expecting much however, I was extremely impressed with how they turned out, considering I only gave them a day and a half to do when I picked up the cakes. The guy behind the counter was so polite, helpful, and nice. all the workers at the store were smiling and helpful. When I checked out the cashier and bagger were so beyond nice that it was refreshing to be around. I don't usually go to this Kroger, but after this experience, I definitely will shop here more. I don't recommend using this pharmacy specifically. The other Kroger pharmacies are fine but this one sucks. The staff is rude and are not knowledgeable on the medications they dispense. They also don't know how to read refills. read more

If I'm honest, I used to refer to this Kroger as "the janky Loveland Kroger." I first visited many years back, and with the dated and unwelcome look and the fact that everything is in different places from other Kroger's around the area, I opted for grocery shopping elsewhere. However, I have been stopping by more recently, and I have been pleasantly surprised at the quality of produce and some other products I've been able to find there. They are currently moving some things around inside, so hopefully they'll eventually give the outside a facelift to make it more welcoming. This might actually become my new go-to! read more

This is a great grocery store in the heart of Loveland. Right across from CastleSkateland and near the McDonald's in Loveland is this Kroger's location. It has a large parking lot with plenty of parking spots. They do you have a pharmacy walk up window and there are special parking spots reserved for those people who are just grabbing medication from the walk up window. There is a Red Box outside the store's entrance as well. I do feel like Kroger's runs special deals and coupons throughout the store, making them cheaper on some items. I would recommend shopping around for the items that you use frequently. Their prices are competitive, but not always the cheapest. I do appreciate their low prices on fresh vegetables. They do you have a small organic, gluten-free section. It is nice to have seen this area grow. I also love their huge selection of granola bars, Cliff bars, and sports recovery protein bars. Faye do you have a fresh meat section, with seafood and steaks. I feel like there is always someone behind the counter ready to help anyone who needs it. They also have a large bakery. You can get fresh donuts, bagels, and bread for a good price. If you are looking for a fast healthy dinner, don't forget that they have a section of the store dedicated to cooked chicken. You can grab box of legs, thighs, as well as a few side dishes. It beats going to Kentucky fried chicken, and it is large enough to feed a family. Not to mention, while you are there, you can pick up some groceries for the week! If you live in the Loveland area or are passing by from time spent at the bike trail, this is a great store to check out. They also have a gas station out front. read more

We shop at Kroger's for all side items. Meat quality is poor. And at times their fresh vegetables are not well kept. We bought their spring bottled water to try since it is cheaper. The old saying " you get what you pay for" was right on. This water tastes dirty or old it has a terrible taste. Both cases are going back. read more

Overall, I like this Kroger. It's been my go-to grocery store for the past several years. I like the size & layout for finding what I need quickly & not really having to do a lot of searching. However, lately I've noticed a few of my favorite items disappearing from the shelves. The latest is one of my preferred brands of canned vegetables. Before that it was a certain coffee creamer. This is becoming somewhat inconvenient. One thing that I've always liked about Kroger is the e-coupons that can save you a lot of money if you download them onto your loyalty card. Lately, I've noticed fewer coupons for the things I actually use. I used to routinely save up to $30. Now I'm lucky to save $10-12. I'm thinking of looking into shopping at some other places. I don't think Kroger reads reviews, but if they do, I hope they will take note that it's often the little things that keep customers loyal. read more

Worest shopping experience possible. Not only could I not get up and down isles because there were boxes full of food everywhere, as though they waited until they were out of everything to restock but.. I had to check out my own groceries and run and get item's that werent properly tagged. No lines open, no one to help... If I wanted a job at Kroger, I would have applied. Mediocre Kroger, not a great selection although it has improved. But with 2 really great locations in Harpers Point in Mason that are amazing it is just disappointing to shop here. Plus the staff are apathetic. I tend to go a little farther to go to the nicer store. read more

I've been shopping at the Kroger on Loveland Madiera Rd. for several years now, and always use a debit card to save on check-writing. This morning, I had the unfortunate experience of having my debit card stolen, and I had to have my financial institution block the card. I knew that I would not be able to use my card when shopping at Kroger, so I asked the CSR at the store if I could write a check, and I was told that would be fine. I then proceeded to do my shopping, and 45 to 50 minutes later, I reached the check-out line. When it came time to write out the check for an amount of $187, I found out the Kroger uses a program called Certegy Check, and Certegy rejected my check. I do not have any history of overdrafts on my checking account, and I've never bounced a check. The store told me I would have to call Certegy to get "things cleared up". When I called and spoke with Certegy, they told me that probably the reason the check was rejected was because I had not yet written a check at Kroger - it was my first check to them, therefore, it was not surprising that my check was rejected. I was also told by the Certegy rep that there is no way to tell if my next check will be accepted or declined until I actually try to write one out again at Kroger. This is not good news for me, as I will not have my new debit card from my financial institution for at least two weeks. I must say that after wasting an entire hour of my time shopping, bagging, and then on the phone with Certegy, that I am very disappointed in the Loveland Kroger, and I will have to consider whether or not I ever want to shop there again. This form of check clearing is very impersonal, and is NOT excellent customer service, especially for someone who has shopped there numerous times as a loyal customer for several years. Even knowing that my debit card was stolen and that was the reason I needed to write out a check "for the first time" (it was check #1058, and I've had the account for 5 years with no overdrafts), it surprised me that the CSR at Kroger couldn't even get a manager to come override the Certegy outcome. Even the rep at Certegy told me that she couldn't override the outcome. Kroger truly needs to personalize its customer approach and reconsider the methods it is using to decide who can and who cannot write checks. What do I do for food between now and when my new card arrives in the mail from the bank? If I had a history of bouncing checks, especially at Kroger, then I could understand why they rejected my check. For the Loveland area there are really three Krogers, maybe 4 depending on how far north you live that serve the Loveland area. The Loveland Madeira location, for as dated as it is, has many components that blow away the other locations in the Loveland area. First of all the store is laid out perfectly so you can get in and out. Also it consistently has the best organic produce selection of any store in the area including Whole Foods. The overall selection of items is not as robust as Harpers Point but it is also 50% smaller I am guessing. There seems to be a lot of long-term employees at this location to that make it feel more welcoming as we have lived in Loveland for about 10 years now in the same Core Group still works there and is very nice read more

The last few times I came here with my dad there were no cashiers working on the registers and all of the customers had to use the stupid self checkout things in the store and it took us a very long time to complete our transactions and most of the customers looked very frustrated with the situation. The last few times I came here were awful. read more
