Out of all of the Kroger stores in the area, this one in particular has very poor customer service skills. Since its opening some two years ago, this location has never had good customer service. The Balloons near the flower have a disclaimer that says: they don't fill outside billions it has to be purchase at Kroger. When I purchased the balloons at Kroger, the counter employee told me that it has to be purchased with them, and when I pointed to their disclaimer located on their countertop, they said: it doesn't matter if it has to be purchased with us, not with Kroger. If that is the rule, they need to update their disclaimer. Poor customer service. read more

Grocery items are great. Personal attitudes of the employees are horrible. Deli dept is slower than molasses - seemingly always understaffed. I've had meat dept personnel snap at me and other customers. Had one produce person act like I wanted his wallet when I asked him if he had any more corn in the back. Last time some personal shopper pushed his hairy arm right past my nose trying to reach the scanner card with his computer scanner - when I said "EXCUSE ME !", he looked at me like I was crazy. The ladies that work in the bakery are very rude. I ask them if my children could have a cookie and she took one and broke it in half. they also ignore you when you are standing there. Another time when I ask for a cookie for my kids she rolled her eyes at us and very rudely said yes. They could use some customer service training. Now I don't even ask. There is a Starbucks inside Kroger. I like them more because they are faster than the actual store less than a mile away. In addition, by using your Kroger card you can earn a free coffee. More importantly. They are consistent with taste. Keep up the great work. read more

Great Kroger. Vegetables and fruits always seem super fresh the meat and seafood department is always very clean and staffed with great employees to offer assistance. This is a Kroger on steroids. They have a department store on the opposite side of the actual grocery store. Always have plenty of lanes open and the cashiers seem to know what they are doing and move people through the lines fast. When I'm in Forney this is the only grocery store I'll shop at. They also have a starbucks and sushi counter as well as a prepared foods bar and line in the deli. read more

Love this Kroger! Great produce, great food selection. We are vegan, and I can't believe how many vegan options they have! I also used the "Click" grocery pick up, when I just had my baby a couple months ago - and WOW it was easy, and the guys that always brought out the food had the most pleasant attitudes. This location of Kroger has REALLY gone downhill in the past year! Produce looks terrible, items often are not restocked, customer service has gotten bad (because they are understaffed during busy times), and the store is no longer neat and orderly. I used to LOVE this location, but it has REALLY lost its focus on the customer. - Staffing - Poor produce (cantaloupe had fungus on it, kale wilted, zucchini real tiny and sparse) - Common items are unstocked (zucchini, sugar free candy, etc) - Wait times during peek hours at seafood counter is too long - Automated checkout machine are OFTEN out of change if paying in cash This location, which I previously rated a 4, is now a 2! I may stop going here and go to Walmart for my groceries. Sad to see this location go downhill. read more

Went back to the store to make a return today. I was sorely disappointed to see the same unhelpful, confrontational employee being trained at the customer service desk. She is the most non-service-oriented person I have encountered at this store. She was even arguing with her trainer against giving me the refund I had been promised. Good job, Forney Kroger! I've been to this store several times. Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on ME! They have the WORST produce section and don't seem to care. It either looks good in the store you get it home for a day and it spoils or it is completely spoiled in store! This Kroger was actually very impressive. I just moved to Forney and I'm used to the Kroger in Wylie. This location didn't let me down. Employees were very friendly. There wasn't one that I wasn't greeted by. While in produce big wigs were there. as all five were talking and doing what they were doing, even they acknowledged me. Store was clean and stocked. I have been going to this location since it opened. It was a beautiful store but has really started to go down hill. I realize that the Covid situation is not helping matters but the quality and customer service need an overhaul. I appreciate the hard work and efforts by the employees as I know being in the front lines of keeping supplies on hand can be challenging. I purchased some fresh fruit and within two days the blackberries were completely molded. I purchased a cantaloupe and cut it open the next day and it was not edible. I realize the meat packing industry has been hit hard but please stop pushing the narrative of eating plant based meats. I don't need to hear about how to be sustainable. I would rather put my money back into my own community but at this point to get the quality, value and also not have expired foods then I will need to shop elsewhere. read more

Very rude staff, and watch out for the dates on packaged items. Everything will expire in the next few days, so buyer beware. I ordered from Clickit online, and the milk expired in two days, and I even requested that the date be checked. The staff are extremely rude. Every single time I go to check out and have water in the bottom of my cart and a drink that I got in the store, the same bagger yells, she has water and a drink AFTER I already told the clerk what I had. I finally told the bagger, that I'm NOT going to steal a freaking case of water that costs $2.00!! The pharmacy staff is also rude, and don't expect them to open up on time. My husband went on a Tuesday morning at 10:30, and the pharmacist still wasn't there. Very unreliable. I will never shop there again. read more

I shop here at least twice a week but today was bad. There was human feces in meat aisle on floor so I immediately informed an employee who was shocked and went to clean it up right away. After a few minutes I went To the soda aisle and of course more feces. The bad part is an employee already knew about it and she waited about 10 minutes before going to clean it up. I like Kroger over Walmart but their cashiers always make mistakes when ringing up items. This then causes me to go to customer service every single time and waste another 10 minutes explaining what they did wrong. Yay for options!! We love this Kroger because of its organic selection. While we do 99.99% of our shopping at Whole Foods, this Kroger is a great alternative for when you forgotten something mid-week (WF isn't close to Forney!) The pricing is in line for other stores organics, if you don't shop organic often it might be a sticker shock, but they are very similar to WF's prices for produce. read more

All products are high quality, an amazing selection, produce is delicious and organic, a little more pricey but if you have a Kroger card the deals are amazing! This store is awesome! Some people think Kroger is more expensive than other stores. I'm a budget shopper and Kroger is one of my go-to stores. Between the Managers Specials, downloadable coupons, Weekly specials and Kroger's brands I walk out of the store with better deals than when I was shopping at WalMart! Also has good prices on clothing, shoes, toys, etc. If you shop for toys (for gifts, birthdays, Christmas, etc) throughout the year you can get great gifts at 50-75% off retail. My kids enjoy shopping with me also, especially with the food samples the store offers at certain times a day. read more

Still awesome, we've moved your prescriptions here and really like the pharmacy. Much faster than CVS. Sometimes they don't have the meds we need and we have to go to CVS, and it reminds me why I'm glad I left CVS. I also get my flu shot here, but I'm not sure how to review getting a flu shot. I've gotten it twice, and once I still got the flu, that sucked. But I'm not sure I can blame Kroger for that. I haven't gotten the flu this year, if I do, maybe I'll drop this down to 4 stars. read more

The selection is fantastic. the produce section is huge. the meat dept. is huge. everything is fresh and the lines ARE NOT and hour wait! This has been a wonderful shopping experience for my first time there. I had a bit of trouble finding things but once I get familiar with the store, I don't think that will be a problem. read more

Our family loves this grocery store. Great selection and even "real" healthy options. The non- grocery stock is perfect for a town lacking options. We gave it a 4 stars as the produce is hit or miss, the speakers for the staff are way too loud and the bakery isn't very good. Other than that, we are happy to have this Kroger Marketplace option. read more

I was so excited when Forney got our Kroger. It was great for a while but I'm sad to say that it is going down hill. It really needs good management. The deli staff needs customer service & cleanliness training. My husband was ignored by a couple of ladies chatting & cleaning the glass meat cabinets & after standing there waiting for several minutes, he asked for help. One of the ladies said " I'll be with you in a minute ". She finished her chore before helping him & then proceeded to slice his meet without changing her gloves. He told her he didn't want it & why which just irritated her. The same visit (2 days before Christmas)he purchased a ham only to notice when he got home that the ham had expired two days before. Also, the same visit he said the cashier manager was gossiping about other employees in front of the customers. This is about the 3rd time we've witnessed this kind of unprofessional behavior from him. We've noticed a lot of almost expired product on the shelf & that products are not being stocked with new products in the back. This place needs help. Our complaints only come after multiple experiences like this from this store. It's very disappointing. On a good note, the lady that helped me at the customer service desk as I brought back the expired ham was very nice & helpful. I worked for Kroger proudly years ago. I know they could do better. I hope they will, I would be happy to do a better review next time. read more

Since I am new to the area and I HATE going to Wal-Mart, this is the place I'm left with to do my grocery shopping. There's a bunch of young kids that work there so other than the workers aren't friendly but they aren't rude either. I bought jewelry from the shop inside and they are more welcoming than the store employees. The store is always clean for the most part. My real only complaint is the produce. What horrible horrible HORRIBLE produce. There are some days I can't believe they even let certain items sit out like anyone is really going to buy it. The produce gets spoiled fast and NEVER looks fresh. I'm starting to feel like Wal-Mart has the upper hand on that part and I think Wal-Mart produce is just as crappy. read more

I visited this store on 8/1 and I must say the wine steward name Rita is one of the most disrespectful unprofessional people I've met in a long time. She was very rude and condescending towards me. She yelled at me at the top of her lungs in front of staff and customers alike. I would not shop or visit this store to save my life. The employees are a reflection of the experience you will have while visiting businesses.They can improve the image of a business or greatly affect a consumer's experience. Although I'm sure her less than desirable attitude does not reflect on the company as a whole. However, I'm afraid Kroger need to offer up customer service training to its staff members to avoid unruly employees like Rita.
