Started my year with a visit to this relatively new brewery. They have 10 house beers on tap and the 4 I tried were really good. The Hazy IPA was hoppy and full of citrus, the Hoppy Brown Ale was unusual in a good way. Malty up front as expected from a brown ale and then the hops hit in the finish. Quite enjoyable. The Czech Style Pilsner was clean and hop-forward and the Stout gave clean chocolate and roasty notes. The food was quite good, so definitely worth a trip read more

What a nice little gem here in Forney. Had dinner on the patio Saturday night with a live band playing. Started with fried pickles -- those were the highlight, perfectly crispy and seasoned. Also tried the nachos and lemon pepper wings. Nachos were okay, but I didn't care for the wings; the seasoning was off for me. Really wanted the deviled eggs but they were sold out, which was a bummer. Service was pleasant and friendly throughout. UPDATED review to 5 stars. I ended up trying their food and I was actually blow away. It's all so good! This is by far the best burger in Forney. It's a smash style burger. I can't wait to try more. Beer is really good as well. I ended up trying more of their in house beers. I will be continuing to come back! Modern and well planned place! Even thought about putting non noise pads on the chairs! Definitely a place to come if you like deviled eggs. The preset is good too, but I could just eat the eggs all day. Too full from cafes to eat anything salad, pizza, or sandwich. Thats sad but can always come back, which I will! I will crave the eggs! So glad I found out about this place. Forney definitely needed something like this. We usually drive to Dallas, Garland or Rockwall for beer spots. Now we have one close to home. They've only been open about 3 weeks or so but they seemed right at home. Plenty of seating inside and out. Very nice set up. It would be great if they had a dj or at least a little louder music. Service was great - everyone was friendly and attentive. It was pretty busy and the customers were steadily coming in. There was a line and a short wait. Nothing horrible. Food was really good. We had pepperoni pizza and lemon pepper wings. A couple of beers and a couple shots of Angels Envy. We spent about $120 pre tip. We will definitely be back and absolutely recommend for the locals (and others). read more

This is a fairly new place in Forney. We did a couples night out there on Saturday around 6pm. It has an extremely laid back vibe. I'd say bar/grill with a family feel. There was an invasion of children running crazy in the outdoor seating. Since we have 8 children between us, and left them all at home.... We opted for adult conversation inside. A band showed up around 7, and set up outside. Wish we could have stayed. Had the smash burger and my wife had the classic smash burger. Both had a different flavor, but equally delicious. I got a flight and ended up getting the American Lager with my meal. All were tasty. They were out of the Mexican Lager, I am hoping to try that next time. My friend got the spicy chicken sandwich. He said that sandwich has changed the way he thinks about chicken sandwiches. He loved it. He got a margarita, because he can't drink carbonated beverages and advised it was one of the best tasting margaritas he's had. We all got fries, and they did not disappoint. All in all, the food is top tier with decent portion sizes for the quality of food. This is one place where I am definitely looking forward to going back. So the service was great once we figured out where to order and what to do. Very friendly staff. I'm could see this place quickly outgrowing its current venue. read more

Thought I'd stop in here for a quick bite to eat, grabbed a Cuban sandwich to go, menu looked really good. The sandwich was a disappointment, first the bread was absolutely old and crusty, not even worth serving, meat was average, and to have a chef or "line cook" put that together and box it up thinking that was the quality you'd like to portray, shame on you. This is the best and hottest spot in town BY FAR!!! Drinks - They have delicious beers but for those who prefer wine and cocktails, they have those too!! Something for everyone. Water stations too so you can stay hydrated. YES, they have lids, just ask someone for one. Food - AMAZING!!!! There are so many chain restaurants in Forney which is a huge NO GO for me. All their food from the salads to the burgers to the wings to the pizza is delicious. I haven't had anything I haven't thoroughly enjoyed and I've been there many times since opening. I love that the chef is now having rotating specials (shoutout to the new wedge salad and pesto pizza - YUM!) and I can't wait to see what they add next. The fries are CRACK... seriously addicting. And don't get me started on the Thai chili wings. Always cooked crispy and to perfection and the sauce on them is to die for. Service - Excellent, personal, professional and attentive. If there is ever any issue big or small, they make it right quickly. Speak up if anything is off and they will address it to make sure you leave happy! They are also a fun group of staff and a joy to be around. It's like Cheers!! They greet you with a smile, make you feel special and go out to their way to tell you that they appreciate your business every time. Ambiance - FUN!!!!! The music they play as well as the live music on weekends is always A VIBE. Cowboys games will be on the TV soon and I can't wait!! If it's packed it can get a bit noisy but in the best way. Came in for lunch on a Saturday after kids soccer games. It's a kids friendly place (they have patio games and grassy area for them to run around)! There's fans outside to help with the heat (we sat here to have kids play). The food was yummy, burgers are simple and flavorful. Spoke to the owner and he said they would have some rotating menu and the beers would also change with the seasons! Owner heard our feedback and my hubby even got a free beer! Our first visit here. Quick, friendly service. Drinks served quickly. Food came out fast and was as ordered. Burgers were tasty and fries were hot. We asked for our ticket, and server was quick to come back with her handheld device. I opened my wallet and counted out my cash and laid it on the table. The server informed me that they do not accept cash. Dumbfounded, I told her there was no sign on the door informing customers of this. She apologized, and said, "We have told him to put up a sign." She pointed out the owner to me at this point. I tapped my credit card and informed the server that we would not be returning. Am I the only one who finds this unAmerican? Cash is legal tender in the United States of America. I spoke to the owner b4 leaving and told him he should be accepting cash for payment, and he should have a sign on the door informing customers entering the establishment, because we would not have come in if we had known it was a "no cash" business. I hope I can help other potential customers avoid this "surprise." It is certainly the owner's choice and right to not accept cash, I just wish it had been made aware of this b4 going in. read more

This place was absolutely amazing!!! We ordered the nachos and the jalapeños weren't too spicy and the cheese (?) was sweet. We ordered the Margaret's pizza and classic smash for entrees and OH MY GOD!!! The best burger I've had since moving to Texas 2 years ago!!! And the pizza was AMAZING!!! Our first time at this new restaurant. Had heard good things about the food. We entered but were not greeted at door, nor were there any signs directing us anywhere. We sat down at an empty table and waited, and waited and waited. We finally caught the attention of a server who came to our table. We told her we were here for dinner. She said, "Oh, is this your first time here"? We said yes (it has only been open for a month or so). We asked for menus, but she said they were up at the order desk. So I went up to the order desk and got a menu. (Really poor service employee). We ordered the nachos appetizer while waiting for another couple to show up. It was 14 for a few chips and a bit of salsa. What a rip-off. The hamburgers and fries we got were very good, but not worth $14 each. All in all, I know it is a new establishment, BUT, the staff is not trained, the five servers all congregate near the cash register talking among themselves, providing no information, and were rude because WE didn't know how things were done in this new restaurant. Probably won't go back. Value to price ratio extremely low, untrained and unsupervised staff, not signs or directions, poor service. read more

Forney Brewing is new, and they have a really nice set up. There's some games where they have outdoor seating which is nice. Inside, it is SO INCREDIBLY LOUD! We opted to sit outside because of this. I'm guessing it being so loud in there has something to do with the acoustics and high ceilings. You go to a counter to order, so there isn't much service to speak of. The food was pretty good, though! The Cobb salad was fresh and well presented. The nachos were super yummy and the candied jalapeños on there were a perfect sweet/spicy snap. The pizza left a lot to be desired, but the French fries are definitely homemade and were great! read more

Tried this place for the first time. Heard mixed reviews. Upon arrival we proceeded to the bar and was greeted by a very polite waitress. Approximately 90% of the waitresses we encountered were polite, well groomed. and had manners. It was if they wanted to work there and took pride in what they do. The Menus can use some work. When you have menus that are so light colored that you have to break out your phone to read it, yeah not a good thing. We ordered the nachos, a strawberry salad, and a regular cheeseburger. We ordered cokes and were asked if we wanted to close out our bill or leave it open for a tab. The nachos arrive first. Chips appeared to have been just pulled from the fryer as there was oil in the bottom of the dish they came in. The taste was decent had a few peppers on them. All in all I would say the nachos was the best tasting thing we ordered. The salad and cheeseburger came out next. The burger was a challenge. It appeared well prepared however the taste was to be desired. Each bite was either an overbearing taste of seasoning, too much salt, or meat that chewed like rubber. The veggies seemed wilted and left out, not cold and crisp. The fries were somewhat tasty but nothing to scream about. The strawberry salad was not cold or cool. it was hot, as if they left it under the heating lamp for a while. Wife said it had a good flavor but could have been better. It was a disappointment that they did not serve iced tea and had only can drinks. However, the cold water was properly stationed and plentiful. If you're looking for an uppity place to have drinks that might not be far from your home, then by all means visit and have a few drinks. If you are hungry then I suggest eating somewhere else such as Eno's, Mamas Daughters Diner, or even Napoli's and have a good home cooked meal for half the price. Hopefully soon, F.B.C. will work out the bugs and be a decent place to eat and hang out with friends. One can hope. The ambiance is a wanna be upscale bar serving high priced gourmet bar food. They should just serve regular bar food and not try to reinvent the wheel. I must admit though, most of the waitresses were pleasant to interact with. Hope this helped. read more
