It's become very boring, playing a limited variety of very old rock songs over and over again. Oh no, not the Red Hot Chili Pepper again...... and again, again. I change the channel for them. The other songs are 30 years old.... It stopped p;aying MGK and YungBlud. I think just one of Eminem's songs is played - 40 years old? Such a shame. read more

We had a fantastic night. Won tickets on KROQ to come and see Royal Otis on a Monday, the band said it was there first time here in Los Angeles California and they were awsome! Sofa King! KROQ was catered by Jersey Mikes sandwiches with a bag of chips, water and White claw spirits and vodka+soda. The sound space was clean with moden furniture pieces and lighting. I've been to the old sound space and saw Band of horses, also a fantastic experience.I loved it all! One of the band members said he'd return to sign my husband's poster, after waiting for half hour we were told to leave. read more

Getting rid of the morning crew today, especially the way it was done, was the last straw. I literally have no reason to listen to this station any longer. So disappointed, you have been a part of my life for years. I still have "old timey" radio in my car, but my most-punched button #6 on my FM will be changed immediately, never to return to KROQ again. No reason to any more. I've been listening since the late 70s, early 80s... you lost me with your music lineup and repetitiveness and crappy format in the 2010s, but the morning show still kept me going... however you lost me forever today in 2020. I loved this station for many years. I continued to listen even after I moved back to Ohio. And Kevin & Bean was my absolute favorite radio show. But then things changed. I could handle the firing of Lisa May. I loved Allie. But then firing Ralph Garman was when the show "jumped the shark." Bean's departure was the nail in the coffin for me. I stopped listening for a while. When I turned in to Kevin In The Morning, they added Jensen. Who the hell is this guy? He was terrible. KROQ's unceremonious firing a HOF broadcaster was awful. The show wasn't as great as it used to be, but that is KROQ's fault. Kevin deserved better. I will miss what was. I will be deleting the Radio.com app, as KROQ was the only station I listened to on it. Plus that POS app would stop playing every 8 minutes like clockwork. Good luck, dicks. read more

I've only had the pleasure of visiting a couple times at this studio, one of which I got to witness the second to last live airing of Love Line, and the others have been for the awesome Red Bull Sound Space maaaany years ago. They shared this space with 93.1FM. There has been so much pop culture & music history and super cool people who have visited this KROQ studio. I took pictures once but never had the time to post it. I wonder what their new studio will look like! Building was clean, staff were.... KROQ staff. Their shows used to be much more raunchy... It's so tame now. Plus, we only get maybe only 3 hours of Kevin & Bean Live thoughout the whole morning! What's up with that! read more

It was such a treat to be given pizza after checking in with staff at the tent in the parking lot. The Helpful Honda people are awesome! I was so thrilled to win two tickets and get on the guest list because I love Band of Horses. It's always amazing to see a band you like at a small venue too. If anyone has been to the Red Bull Sound Stage you will recall that check-in is usually between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 a.m. I was tempted to bring my own lunch because by the time the concert is over it could be 2:00 p.m. I was running late so there was no time to pick something up. Thank you KROQ for bringing in the Helpful Honda sponsor and treating us to pizza. P.S. You need to check-in with your gardening crew because the big hibiscus on the east side of the parking lot has a major case of white flies. Although, Kevin & Bean nor Striker was here during my visit lol, I still enjoyed the experience of just being at the location where they would normally be. I think it is so awesome that KROQ allowed Kaiser Permanente to use their location as a vaccination site. After being vaccinated and during my being monitored for about fifteen minutes, I was just observing the place. They have ine huge studio. I can inly imagine how good live music sounds. Its a beautiful spot. That was really thoughtful of them. It's make "I'm a huge" sound like an understatement. I love them even more for sharing their space with us. read more

Wow, radio has gone to Sh*t. It seems like the station has been on a loop playing the same songs since about 2000. Until a few years ago they started playing crap that was probably the product of friends of staff. I still cant get over how bad that "renegades" song is, I highly doubt anyone besides "the speilbergs and the cool kids" made a request to hear it. (I dont even think they take requests) Lately it seems like the station is experimenting to target an audience based on demographics. This station has lost its spine. The crap they play has almost no rhythm. Or Maybe the lack of amphetamines has caused a loss of creativity in the music industry This station should be called KRAP read more

Everyone gets a chance to see the band. Its indoors, there are bathrooms. Red bull is supplied, no alcohol though. Recommend coming at the ticket pick up time to line up. I arrived early to a wedding and was starving. Thankfully, there was leftover shrimp cocktail from the 104th birthday soiree that was cleaning up. Roogey Boogey did my stomach immediately say. Straight to the bathroom I went. With my luck, of course the toilet paper was all out. In panic, I shouted to see if there were any poor souls occupying the neighboring stalls. Without pause, an angelic hand swooped under the stall wall with a thick handful of crisp toilet paper and a packet of unopened baby wipes. That skin tone.... I knew it was him... My savior.... The voice belonging to the hand asked me if I was doing ok... The care in his voice immediately put my stomach to ease. I thanked him, finished my business, and proceeded to the sink to wash my hand. Allie McKay may be a nice person, this isn't a personal attack, but her position on the Kevin and Bean show is dragging it down. From the very start, her attempt at trying to fit in with her humor, noises, and name dropping is really unappealing. My coworkers agree, she quickly became a caricature of herself. Perhaps a genuine effort on her part, but the results are ultimately poor Morning radio crews have a balance, each position plays a role. Her addition didn't fill a gap, instead she is trying to hammer a square peg into a round hole. It's sometimes so awkward it creates collateral embarrassment. It's interesting, Lisa May wasn't energetic, funny or creative, just tap water, but her role was a contribution, not a detractor. BTW, This review is about the Kevin and Bean show, not the radio station, I can't bear to listen to any of the music since it is heavy rotation, manufactured, homogeneous, un-eclectic and commercial, sorry. First time I had been here for an HD sound stage event. Not as well organized as iHeart to be honest. Pro: they provided food and water, artist performance was very up close and intimate. Con: parking was hard to find, waiting time is long especially in the hot weather, it's an LA thing where everyone lined up at 5 AM and expected to get in at noon; standing room only, no seating provided. The last but not least, NO artists meet and greet, which was a big mistake for CBS, all other stations I got invited to, I got treated like I was actually appreciated to be th, but not here, everything felt a bit rush, and the experience wasn't all that great, as you have to fight your way to get in and get out. 3 stars is very linear, consider I am a hard yelper read more
