It's kinda weird that there are areas of the locker room you are asked to be clothed in, like aren't those things in the locker room specifically so you don't have to worry about that? But super weird to have a camera in the locker room regardless. That's like my only issue with this place.

English and Audrey have been so crucial in me signing up, going out of their way to give me the best monthly rate. I'm forever grateful for these two managers and all they do for this wonderful Hotworx location. Know BEFORE you go: ** A specific HOTWORX mat and towel are required for the isometric classes. You can purchase them both for $100. They also rent and sell other things, from cute clothing to headphones to energy drinks. ** Hand towels and foam rollers are provided for free. ** There are also small cubby spaces outside the sauna for quick storage - that's where you put your phone, backpack, shoes, etc. ** All classes are virtual through displays within the sauna, not in-person with you. You follow along to their instructions on the screen. ** Bring a water bottle! Be sure to hydrate before, during, and after. There are water fountains for refills. ** Similarly - it's HOT. You're working out in a sauna. Just be aware if you're super sensitive to high temperature, that this might not be for you.

Stopped by here during a work trip to get a quick afternoon workout from climbing in...completely…read moreunprepared: forgot my gear at home (another state away lol). Luckily the staff was friendly and helpful with getting me set up with a (comfy Petzel!) rental harness and shoes. Check in and cash out was quick & easy. With the auto belay system for several routes of varying difficulty (I was able to do several within my skill range - 5.6 - 5.8) and attempt a couple of 5.9s) you could easily spend a few hours here even solo. I just had an hour but mission accomplished: several climbs fully completed, a couple attempted, and a good workout to break up hours of work travel. The gym was clean, the climbs were interesting, and the helpful staff was appreciated. Will definitely visit while traveling through again!

Literally had an instructor steal the bench I was using and say she'd give it back in 30 minutes. All of that BS on top of the horrible parking situation where you'll pay $50 a month to get parking tickets, disgusting locker rooms, constant early closures and broken equipment. The only nice thing about this gym is the friends I've made.

This is the only facility with hydro rider- a spin class in the pool. It fills up fast, so call and reserve a bike, and bring your own towel. Cansler is a great facility and the Y staff is very friendly. On my visits, it was not as crowded as my usual Y and parking was not a problem. It's a shared lot with O'Connor Senior Center and there's an overflow lot across Jessamine. Just remember to bring your towel as they don't have towels. I highly recommend Cansler if you are looking for a fitness canter

This is the primary location where my family works out, takes fitness classes, and swims/does…read moreswimming lessons. We love that there is both an indoor and outdoor swimming pool. The family membership is affordable and worth it if you have young children who can utilize the child watch while adults exercise. There is a great variety of group fitness classes to meet differing interests and fitness levels. We really enjoy the swimming lessons as well. We have done private, semi-private and group and they really helped our kids with water skills and confidence. Lessons fill up quickly, so start checking mid-month for the next round of lessons to spring up on the website. This location isn't the most modern or well-kept. There seem to be lots of issues when it rains, and the layout is very strange. The small-ish workout/weights space is accessed by first going downstairs and then back up another set of stairs in the back of the building. There is also a musty/moldy smell that kicks up our allergies at times.

Unfortunately this location is very poorly managed. It's a shame because the facilities are pretty…read moregood, but the schedule may as well not exist because it is rarely updated/accurate. On six separate occasions I have not been able to do my planned workout because the area which was scheduled to be open was not open. I get that schedules change but the very least they could do is update the online schedule. I am done wasting my time here.

Do Not sign anything here other than month-to-month. Seriously…read more Stay away from long-term contracts. You will hear all kinds of sales talk and "special offers" pushing you toward a 3-year agreement. It may sound like a good deal, but with just one signature, you're locked into a three-year obligation. And it doesn't stop there. Every year, they charge an additional "maintenance fee" that they decide. So the amount you think you're agreeing to pay is not even the real total. What you sign and what you actually end up paying are not the same. On top of that, if you don't enroll in autopay, they charge you an extra $14-$15 every month. But they don't clearly show you where or how to set up autopay in the portal. Instead, you get bounced around different systems and portals, and somehow you end up with extra charges. It feels like too many tricks designed to squeeze more money out of customers. Canceling is even worse. You're required to send a certified letter to a P.O. Box just to cancel. There's no real person to deal with. You have to document every step yourself. If they claim they didn't receive your certified mail, you could find yourself stuck in another three-year contract. At that point, you may even have to consider legal action just to get out. This has been a major disappointment. The whole structure feels designed to trap customers into long-term payments rather than provide honest service. Save yourself the stress. Take your money somewhere transparent, professional, and respectful of its members.
