Since she was located quite far, she was willing to meet me half way in the Downtown area so I could receive them. The cupcakes were moist, with just the right amount of icing. My husband said these were the best cupcakes he had ever had in his life. Being that I eat cupcakes quite often, I actually agreed. The second time, I received key lime, coconut rum, and yellow cupcakes. My husband said the coconut rum cupcakes were even better than the key lime. I still preferred the key lime, but the coconut rum was quite good too. The yellow cupcakes were topped with chocolate icing, which isn't my favorite, but were still better than most yellow cupcakes that I've had before. All in all, I would recommend her to ANYONE for cupcakes.

(That really shouldve been my clue) I love to give small businesses a try, however this time EPIC FAIL The initial communication was horrible. Prior to purchasing the certificate I called to try and get information which was like pulling teeth. The owner told me that she would create the design of cupcake that I wanted and would email it to me, that never happened. Over a week later she emailed me back asking if I saw her designs. Really..you know you didn't send them I thought. So she tells me that she would text them to me later, I received the text a few days later. The cupcake was absolutely gorgeous. Despite my gut telling me not to, I went ahead and purchased the voucher and then placed my order, via text. The day of my event I was supposed to meet the owner at 10am to get the cupcakes, she had explained that her building had been damaged due to a car hitting the building so I had to meet her to get the cupcakes. I arrived at the agreed upon location, she was not there. I called and she said she was 5 minutes away however I could tell by her hesitation in answering that this was not completely true. About 30 minutes later we meet. She was very nice and kind and seemed apologetic for being late. Next, I see the cupcakes and instantly feel like a failure at being in charge of the cupcakes for my party. The cupcakes were so very small. Small like, I'm going to let me daughter help me bake cupcakes for the first time in our kitchen with her easy bake oven small. The decoration was very cute. This is why I ordered in the first place. She definitely has a great gift with the design and the edible items that she uses to make her designs. I ordered a baby shower designed cupcake that looked like a baby under a blanket. I appreciated that she didn't use fondant. She used other edible items like taffy and caramel to make the decoration which was great, but the cake. Uhhh Duncan Hines may not appreciate being used and sold from a bakery. The cupcake was clearly a boxed mix and so was the icing on top. Everyone at the baby shower raved about how cute the cupcakes were but didn't want to eat them after a couple of people talked about the taste being boxed and dry. I'm glad I was able to support a small business I just wish all the other aspects of the situation would've been better. But enough of all the jibber jabber. These cakes actually taste good. That's rare for cakes to taste and look equally good. My birthday cake was salted caramel. Its kinda like vanilla cake with salted caramel filling. Not too overpowering but just right. I ordered from her a second time this past week and got the red velvet strawberry cheesecake cake. It was amazing. The cheesecake is NY style. Not sure if the sale is still going on but it's a new flavor being offered (not decorated) but so worth it.

Our cake was moist flavorful and magnificently designed, formed & decorated, with a figurine of my child's likeness riding a unicorn. Ray patently assembled, staged and gave us instruction on how to cut the cake properly during delivery. The kind of passion that Ray puts into these edible works of art is evident; making the cake the highlight of my daughters special day.
