Some restaurants deserve recognition not only for their food but also for the dedication of the people behind it. During one of the hottest months of the year in the South, the air conditioning was unfortunately out. Even with those challenging conditions, the management, waitstaff, chefs, and kitchen team continued serving guests with professionalism, positive attitudes, and outstanding hospitality. That level of commitment deserves respect. The make-your-own hibachi bowl was exceptional. I loaded mine with shrimp, chicken, steak, broccoli, onions, mushrooms, sausage, eggs, and fried rice. Every ingredient was cooked perfectly, seasoned well, and tossed together into a bowl that was hearty, flavorful, and satisfying. The portions were generous, making it an excellent value. The salmon sushi roll was absolutely fire. Fresh, beautifully prepared, and finished with a rich, flavorful sauce that complemented the salmon without overpowering it. Every bite was fresh and balanced. The Fuji Martini (not pictured) stole the show. Smooth, refreshing, and expertly crafted, it was the perfect cocktail to pair with the meal. Without question, it's a drink I'd order again. The only disappointment of the evening was the Green Tea cocktail. It lacked flavor and balance and simply didn't compare to the outstanding Fuji Martini. Despite the unexpected heat inside the restaurant, the experience remained enjoyable because of the incredible staff. They never allowed the circumstances to affect their service, and the quality coming from the kitchen never missed a beat. Perfectly crispy, golden, and packed with flavor! The filling was hot, fresh, and well-seasoned, while the dipping sauce added the perfect finishing touch. A delicious appetizer and the perfect way to start the meal. Highly recommend! My son and I stopped in here after our movie. We both love the build your own bowles. They also have some of the best Egg rolls. The place itself was very clean, and the service was good. Don't come here if you're expecting a quiet meal though. It's always pretty loud. They do have a nice bar set up. And for the build your own bowls, you can cook them yourself if that's what you like to do. I have gotten their sushi before. It's also very good. The service was Great ! My waiter Greeted us with a smile and ambiance was very laid back. The food was very good ! Every sauce and seasoning I pick for my bowl was executed to prefection! Every bite was full of flavor ! The only problem i had was were you pick your meats for the bowl was all over the place . I know they were very busy so they could not get to it right at the moment . This was my first time here. The restaurant was pretty packed. You're seated by an attendant and if you order a bowl, they bring you a metal bowl. You head up to the counter and fill up your bowl with all your meats and veggies. I got crab, squid, steak, and broccoli. You fill up cups with your seasonings and sauce. Then you head up the chef and he asks what base you want, I chose udon. They give you a number and you head back to the table. The prices were pretty good for the amount of food. The portions were a bit small but the flavor kinda made up quantity. I would 100% go back next time I'm in town. I tried them in the past and I put waaaaay too much spice on the food and wrecked the experience. That is on me. This time I went with the thought that a little spice goes a long way. And as we didn't eat the wrong order we were still charged for it and to make matters worse the waiter tore our receipt to hide the price where we were charged for something we didn't eat and they got wrong. My husband just got his haircut and my son was hungry. Kublai was just around the corner so we tried it for the first time. When we arrived we were seated right away. Our server came by shortly after and we let her know we were first timers. She explained the process, took our drink and appetizer orders, and brought us our bowls. As we go to the counter the options they have were a lot. My son just wanted chicken, I got shrimp and beef and my husband got shrimp, beef and pork. The next section was the veggies which they had a lot to choose from too. Then you have your seasoning and sauce area. Once you get to the end counter you place your bowl and sauce cups on a tray and let them know what kind of noodles you want. When we got to the line it wasn't too busy, but the line started to build as there were some who kept going back and forth with their bowls and sauce cups mixing everything they want. Maybe giving everyone a tray from the beginning might help a bit to prevent all the back and forth and people getting all mixed up. When we returned to our table our drinks and apps were there. I ordered the soft shell crab and to my surprise it was really good. The batter a little different from what I'm used to, but still good and the crab juicy. Our bowls came and they were amazing. Coming in at 7 on a Sunday night. Quite busy with about 5-10 mins wait. Waiter is quick and attentive. This restaurant has some peculiarities Compared to other Mongolian restaurants on the west coast. You get to use one small silver bowl, sauce in separate cups, have gloves for gathering ingredients (which is smart), and the proteins are defrosted, can only take one raw egg and 1 portion of protein per run. Very cold inside. Ambiance is nice. Clean and easy to navigate. TVs with sports and stuff playing. Interestingly they have a lot of premade sauces for your food but not a lot single ingredient sauces. So customization of the food flavor is somewhat hindered. Other Mongolian place I've visited have a few premade sauces but also offer garlic in oil, lime juice, hot chili oil, salt water, etc. so you can really customize your flavor. read more

It was my first time visiting this restaurant and it was clean, the lighting was low and calming. The hostess was very cheerful when she greeted us. Our server was very patient and helpful. He made sure that my experience was memorable. I asked him about a few dishe and he suggested the spicy shrimp sushi. After finally, deciding what I wanted to eat, I went with the bowl. OMG!!! First of all let me just say that I absolutely love the food here but the customer service this time was horrible. When I walked up I was not greeted nor was I acknowledged. The young lady was cleaning something. I'm not sure if they were coasters or not. I was standing there for at least 3 minutes and still she did not acknowledge me. It wasn't until 2 other parties came that she finally decided to ask me was I dining in and how many in my party. Keep in mind that I was standing there alone for 3 minutes! As if everything that I mentioned wasn't good enough, she walked me to my table place the menu and utensils on the opposite side of where I was standing and said "here you go" and walked off. My waitress was better but I could tell she was overwhelmed with the several tables she had. She did her especially since she was expecting. Manager argued with to say that there were 12 place sitting instead of coming to the table to see and resolve the issue. He refused to combine a small table to seat us saying that we told him a party of 12 but we had 13, again the baby did not need a seat. Even if we did count the baby as a 13th person they still seated us in a 10 party table...???!! The kids teriyaki lunch with fried rice is good and it's a decent portion, but I believe they charge extra for the rice to be fried, which isn't communicated over the phone. I'm not sure if this is why my receipt isn't reflecting the lunch price or not (see receipt and website pics). The spicy crawfish roll was top tier. It was really good, however, I think it's ridiculous to charge 55 cents each for eel sauce and spicy Mayo ($1.10, not reflected on receipt because I had to ask for it after I already paid), especially since it doesn't even come on top of the roll. I would've given 4 stars if this wasn't the case and since 3.5 wasn't an option, I'd give it a solid 3 stars. read more

Only one complaint the seats in booths and chairs are duck tapped and tacky, you can't be lacking money the place is always full. Other than that the restaurant is clean and staff friendly. Normally get Kublai Khan to go and the food never disappoints... BUT THIS TIME, I went in to eat and never have I ever regretted anything more in my life. After the host made us walk around the room to look for a table(should have been my first sign to not eat there), we were seated. It was quite a bit of time before we got greeted but we had placed our order so I was happy. We then waited for an hour and a half for our appetizer. After that I received the wrong order. I let our server know and brushed it off. 30 minutes later, I saw our server take a plate to the table in front of me. I thought "Nice, that guy ordered the same meal as me." Only for me to realize what was happening as the table began picking at it with a confused expression. Another 10 minutes later, the server returned to our neighboring table and they let him know that they didn't order that. (This server must have been new because Im pretty sure the host could have pulled out a broom from the closet with better customer service then him.) I TRIED brushing it off. TRIED. Until he circled the room and brought the plate to me! However at that point I just wanted to leave so bad that I could have left my dog in there and I would have never came back for him. I will never step foot inside this restaurant again. You could give me a million dollars to go there and my only sensible reply would be none other than "Hard Pass" If you're looking for a place with shitty service, a long wait for food, and zero manager presence, this is your place. My husband and I stopped for lunch today on the way to Tunica. I'd never been to this restaurant before. It's called Kublai Khan. Mark used to take his daughter there years ago. I ordered a beef bowl, not realizing it would be beef and only beef. Little onion thrown in. No rice and no noodles. But the worst thing was the meat was tough and not edible. Mark had teriyaki chicken, which was a much bigger portion with plenty of delicious rice. It was full of flavor and plenty of food for us both. The restaurant would not take the tough beef dish off our check, which is when they lost my business. I was given the opportunity to take a bowl to the grill and choose items for them to grill for me, but I was already full from sharing Mark's bowl. Being satisfied at a restaurant isn't entirely about the food. It's about entrees arriving at the same time so everyone in your party can enjoy their food at the same time. It's no fun sitting and waiting for them to recook your food while your spouse or friend is eating alone. read more

I ordered take out from here before and it was so-so, however I came in with a friend recently and was super impressed with the decor and the music selection. It looks like a high-end Mongolian Grill. My friend still insists it's not her favorite place for sushi but I still enjoyed it. They have a large selection here and I would love to come back and try some more! When I got takeout I got the Shanghai Noodle Bowl with Chicken. It tasted better once I doused it with the sauce (soy sauce?) that came with it. Otherwise it was very bland. I also added chili flakes to it to help spice it up for myself. GoWaiter delivered if that time. When I came with my friend we got just sushi which is super affordable. I tried a number of things but my favorite was the Crunchy Shrimp (#16 specifically- they have two Crunchy Shrimps). I also particularly enjoyed the Fried Crawfish and realized I liked crawfish for the first time. At least I enjoyed it in this particular sushi. I will have to try it in other things to see if I actually like it. The Redbirds was also good though it had a much more subtle flavor than the others. The Seafood Lovers was interesting. Half of it was fried and the other half was not. The fried half was my favorite whereas the non-fried was my friend's favorite. I'm not sure I would get it again. I was completely unimpressed with the Spicy Shrimp which was basically shrimp sushi with some sort of "hot" sauce drizzled over there. The Superman Roll and Batman Roll were both fantastic. They definitely got along and complemented one another well.
