I wasn't going to write a review until I visited again but now that I have made 2 trips here, it's time to post my review. I have never been greeted upon entering this store and that offends me. Sandy Springs Kudzu with Sandy Springs prices. This is the newer hipper offshoot of Kudzu antiques in Decatur. It has a higher designed furniture to antiques ratio than the original Kudzu. The front and middle half of the store looks like the same furniture (linen sofas, drift wood items, overpriced pillows, semi-custom built wooden furniture) you can get at Scott's Antique. Basically Scott's is now open year round in Sandy Springs. I think the store will do well, but most of the new furniture isn't really my style- I prefer true antiques and vintage furnishings and not items that are made to look old. Prices on the antiques seem a bit higher too, then again I haven't been to the original Kudzu in awhile to know if they've bumped their prices. read more

Now this is a neat place to find all kinds of things old or new, unique maybe even one of a kind. Antiques are scattered everywhere along with new upholstered chairs for the living room, are you in need of sliver flatware, crystal glassware or used signage. How about letter(s) made of metal painted in lots of colors to hang on the wall hmm I think I like this and may go back for one with lights ? In need of a small gift for birthday or holidays, scarves are tossed here and there & lots of scented candles are on the shelf's. read more

I'm so disappointed in the service I have had at the store. I have spent a lot of money over the years at Kudzu but I spent thousands of dollars less than 3 years ago specifically on 2 Rowe couches. The sales girl told us she had a set, up charged us for "special" ordering a matching pillow and now the couches are falling apart. This furniture sat in my formal living-room, untouched! Not one person sat on them daily now they creak like they are 40 years old, zippers are falling off the feather inserts and they keep hocking the same couches. Kudzu will not help they email and sat Rowe will not cover it. They do not call me or intervene. I plan to post this review on every site I can find it's the only hope I have that Rowe or Kudzu will call. I will upload the recipes when I find them. read more

Kudzu & Company is a fun and unique place to go shopping since you never know what you're going to find. I'm not the type of person who likes to spend an entire shopping, so finding a neighborhood treasure like this was a treat as it provides a nice way to stroll around and see all kinds of interesting items. They have done a great job with the space, as the lay out makes it easy to walk around and visit the different areas that each seem to have a theme. For example one area might have a bunch of hand crafted wood related items or another might be focused on paintings. Keep in mind this is a collection of generally one of a kind items versus a cookie cutter big box store. The other fun part is that you can usually negotiate on price depending on the items you're interested in. Overall I think the prices are reasonable, with a friendly staff that can help talk about an item you might find. Trust me when I say this could be helpful because you might find yourself looking at a 100 year old item and there could be a special story attached to it. If you're in the mood to browse and find some fun odds and ends to add to your home then you can't go wrong with spending some time here. read more

We found a few GREAT pieces! This particular store is organized with booths, each one rented by a different designer/person. It is a very easy store to navigate. I had to walk through 3 times, just to take all the pieces in. It is very well organized, and the staff is wonderful! They are always walking around to see if they can help you or if you need anything. I was lucky enough to enter the store with the intent of making a few purchases when they were having a sale! Every booth was 10%-40% off! It was a great deal! I found the most amazing antique trunk to store my wedding dress in, and later we found out the trunk was made in Scotland in 1883! How awesome!? I also bought a wonderful, slightly hand antiqued, Ethan Allen coffee table. It is in almost perfect condition! Every time I go in, I find something else I want in our home. Beware though, many items are a bit too expensive. I recommend signing up for their email list and come in next time they have a sale! read more

My wife and I were headed up Roswell Rd and saw Kudzu and Company where the old Red Baron used to be and decided to pop in and see what it was all about. We were so glad that we did. You if like to browse, see interesting things, new and old, this is where to go. What a great place! It's really wonderful to find one place where there's such a huge selection of vintage and unique items. It's great to go somewhere and find yourself walking through a time machine. Around one turn you may find a victrola and a stack of Caruso 78's, and in the next booth a vintage CD player. There's even a room that's set up like a 50's style kitchen, complete with 50's boomerang laminate counter tops with the polished metals edges, and period appliances. It seems endless. There's a little of something for everyone. The large variety of items keeps you wandering through each space. Around one corner was a pin ball machine, and down the aisle sat a copper Kettle drum. There's also an array of art, not only from the past, typical and expected, but also a selection by current artists, fresh and tasteful. Check it out, you won't be disappointed! read more

Have always loved this store but when I tried to use CASH was told first they didnt take cash because of the coin shortage. When I said that was over a long time ago the girl then said she would take it if I had the exact change. What happened to using REAL MONEY? I therefore HAD to use a CC. In all of my years of shopping never have I ever experienced such poor customer service and racial profiling all rolled into one. George Lawes owner and operator of the Kudzo in Sandy Springs treated my family like garbage when we visited the store on 6/30/2013. I guess George Lawes is a fan of The Paula Deen school of business. We were at the jewelry counter and asked to see a bracelet. First of all, George passed by us and never asked if we were interested in seeing any of the pieces. He gave my cousin the bracelet and walked away as he was more interested in what our teenage daughters were looking at...which were books as they both enjoy reading. A staff member walked up to him and asked him something. Mind you she never apologized to us for the interruption. George Lawes walks off as again he is concerned with our children. My cousin then hands the bracelet to the woman who had previously interrupted us earlier. No one tried to close the sale or thank us for looking. This is piss poor customer service. We moved to an adjacent area in the store with our daughters when George Lawes came over and asked my cousin did she put the bracelet back because he didn't see it in the case. Essentially accusing her of stealing! Now let me put something into perspective for you. We are both college educated women. My cousin and her husband are more than comfortable and own a beautiful home. My cousin on yesterday was carrying a handbag that costs over $350, she was wearing a David yurman bracelet, a Michael kors watch and a Tiffany necklace. I think she can afford a $32.00 bracelet from a vintage inspired store owned by a racist! read more

And I love that my favorite vintage jewelry vendor from the Decatur store has a space here too! A go to place for the hubby and now closer to home! More of an antique-ish store than an outright antique store. A large portion of the selection has been refurbished or transformed, and a lot of stuff is new. That said, everything is very trendy. I knocked this location one star because their prices seem way too high. Lots of quality merchandise but you will pay a premium. Don't come here expecting the same prices as their Ponce location. That said, you will find something you want, you just might be shocked when you see the cost. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The experience of walking past all the booths makes for an enjoyable hour. If you have the funds this place will be a frequent stop as I don't think any other store in the area can compete. read more

I love kudzu. Very eclectic inventory that is constantly updated with new fantastic overseas antiques. I find the store to be clean, easily accessible and the booths aren't so cluttered that it's hard to see. I find the staff to be friendly, informed and never pressure or harass. More often than not, the store is packed with people, so finding someone to help is a challenge. The prices are also quite steep but expected since we're in Sandy Springs. I've never had issues negotiating prices and the shop keepers are more than happy to call a booth owner to negotiate a price for you on the spot. I've gotten some really fantastic housewares and furniture at this location of kudzu! Definitely recommend! read more

The staff was so helpful and the owners were on hand. So worth the trip we will be returning often. My girlfriend was looking for a unique scarf and found that along with two end tables, a lamp, and a new chair. I know where i'll be doing all my Christmas shopping. read more

I wanted to look at a new farm table there but the top was covered with merchandise and their associate was so nasty to me when I asked him if he could remove it. Couple of issues. Many of the booths are stocked with items I've seen at Nadeau, on Wayfair.com and elsewhere. It's as if decorators go to High Point to buy distressed-looking wares. And the day I went in, the person at the front desk was so busy talking with a friend (could tell that was the case by the subject of the conversation) that I was not greeted. Later, I waited several minutes by the desk to ask about the custom furniture services. Never acknowledged me. Too engrossed in personal chit chat. Since then I've spent about $15,000 on furniture elsewhere. I was ready to spend that day, right there in Kudzu & Company. Never going back. read more

We went in and were so impressed by the selection and pricing that we ordered two sofas and bought several other items. We love our Norwalk sofas and the prices were very reasonable. The staff were knowledgable and friendly and helped us make some fabulous choices on coordinating fabrics. We love the interesting mix of old and new in this spacious store. By far, the BEST place to shop for holiday gifts and stocking stuffers. Save yourself some shopping time and go there. Their shopping party this past weekend with Tom Lennon singing and playing acoustic guitar made the whole experience very festive. My husband and I adore this store. As a young couple...on a budget, we admit, we have found far more than we can afford, but! The pieces we have saved our pennies for are helping turn our first house into more than just a home!. Each piece we have purchased has come with an incredible story and despite what other reviewers have said, Kudzu has always been understanding with us, going above and beyond to try and help us leave with future family heirlooms at a fair value. In the short 3 months we have been here, we have gone to Kudzu (and its sister store) over 20 times and look forward to future trips with family and friends. I was hesitant to make this review, because I feel like this store is my best kept secret, but I had to share! Go! Enjoy the adventure! :) read more
