I have been a loyal customer of Kuhn's Flowers for over 20 years. They have always provided beautiful arrangements and great customer service, which is why I continued to trust them with my floral needs. This Mother's Day, I was traveling and unable to go inside the store like I normally do to personally select flowers for my mom. Since the online ordering format had changed and only showed a flyer with price points and descriptions instead of actual arrangement photos, I decided to call in for assistance. Unfortunately, the person who answered my call Saturday morning was extremely rude, condescending, and unpleasant. I was very disappointed, especially after supporting Kuhn's for so many years. To be treated that way during such an important holiday was truly disheartening. Because of that experience, I decided to order from Dinsmore Florist instead. Their website allowed me to see actual photos of the flowers I was ordering, and they delivered my mom's flowers in a timely, courteous, and professional manner. They have now gained a new customer. It is very disappointing that after more than 20 years of giving Kuhn's my floral business, one negative and disrespectful interaction has caused me to take my business elsewhere. read more

BEST IN JACKSONVILLE I can't say enough about Kuhn Flowers and have used them many times over the years. They are my go to florist in the Jacksonville area. We just had a situation where we had ordered family flowers through another company for an out of state funeral. One day before they were scheduled for delivery to the funeral home we received a notice that the company was unable to fill the order. We called Kuhn Flowers and even though it was a Saturday afternoon nearing closing time, they put together a beautiful spray that we were able to pick up and carry to the funeral. My mother is in a retirement facility in another city in Florida and I have sent her quite a lot of flowers over the past 7-8 years. I always take a picture on the site of what they say they will be delivering to her and then I always get her to send me a picture of what she actually received. Sometimes the flowers are completely different than what I ordered, and they never live up to what I thought I was sending to her. With Kuhn flowers, this is the first time that what they delivered was actually more stunning and beautiful than the picture on the site. My mom had gotten out of the hospital and was stuck in a rehab facility on her birthday, so I really wanted to cheer her. I have been a fan of Kuhn Flowers for years! They are very active in the community and makes donations to various non-profits! I'm actually shocked that it took me so long to stop into their shop! I actually won an IG giveaway bouquet and my mom was in town visiting- so we went together to pick up my stunning arrangement and stayed to shop. First impressions are simply WOW! The window displays are fun, vibrant and playful- but inside is even more magical. Flowers and colorful umbrellas hanging from the ceiling, tons of gifts throughout displayed wonderfully. Butterflies, fairies, candles, jewelry, craft chocolates- you name it, this is the shop for that special gift! And wait till you go upstairs- my mom LOVES Christmas, and adores Christmas shops all year round- and upstairs is a Christmas wonderland. It's July- so they have sales running on Christmas decor. Even I couldn't resist a whimsical elf! Mom and I each snagged one (in different colors/styles) and mom picked out numerous ornaments. Meanwhile, I found wonderful artisan earrings downstairs! We were greeted and helped throughout our visit by their wonderful staff and the final touch of bagging up our gifts and tying the bags was just perfection. I forgot how pleasant it is to walk into a flower shop. As soon as you open the door you feel like you've entered a beautiful flower garden. Today, the day before mother's day, added some hustle and bustle as people came in to order, pick up their order, or watching the staff arrange flowers. While waiting to pick mine up, I walked around the store to take it all in...all sorts of plants, flowers, gift baskets of candy and chocolate, and even a section for vases, candles, stuffed animals, and other sort of knick-knacks. When the desk cleared I walked up and was helped pretty quickly with retrieving my order from the back room. Easy in-and-out for me. I decided I wanted a fresh arrangement for Christmas and ran over to see what they had. That was my first mistake, upon walking in they were somewhat busy so I walked around for probably 15/20 minutes and not once was any help offered nor was I spoken too. The owner walked right past and looked the other way. Didn't bother to speak either. But those that came in dressed up were greeted immediately. On this arrangement, it's obvious they used a long stem hybrid. No thorns. Yes, their is such a thing. On long stems the thorns are generally at the bottom of a 2 ft long stem(Florist cuts that part off). And, voilà No Thorns, lol. Know your products. Don't pay for what someone is claiming to sell you. And, turns out to be El Cheapo. Well, this establishment positively deserves The Yelp 5 STARS. In future, I'd like to visit in person.
