    One of their Wines

First off it's rare when I give a five star to any winery. But the people that own this winery, Chris and Ayako are extremely nice and friendly. So informative, explaining how they came to be an all about the wine process and making wine. Their love for animals their dogs their horses. Plus, the wine was great. We bought 2 bottles of golden Blend. Some nice Rhône blends, Syrah , etc.... Cute atmosphere, downtown Atascadero, where you can sit inside or outside.

Amazing wine and the owners are so friendly and just so kind. We were staying in the adjacent hotel and visited Kula Vineyards. We had intentions of visiting a few tasting rooms, but very happy we stopped here first, no need to go anywhere else. A bonus was being able to visit with their puppy Mikana. This is a must visit if in the area if you're looking for great wine and a friendly welcoming environment.

Tasting room is inviting! Welcomed by Susan and Owner -Wine-maker Ayako. We enjoyed a tasting and especially Ayako's personal presentation of their love and wine making story inspired by their beautiful dogs.

We love Kula wines and the owners, Ayako and Chris are wonderful. The charming patio area is lovely to relax in and enjoy downtown, day or night. The Friday dinner and wine to go are fun. I had a great time with friends at the paint and sip yesterday

Excellent service. Super friendly owners. They are kind and never rush you. Owners have their hands in all aspects of the business: growing, winemaking, tasting room. Grapes are hand harvested and hand sorted. Delicious wines, not acidic or overbearing. Thursdays are dog night. Bring your dogs inside or outside seating --owners dogs will be there too and are the mascots printed on the wine labels.

We walked in and were a little skeptical because the place looks more like an office setting than a wine tasting/selling room. We were pleasantly surprised tho and the wine was phenomenal! $10 for tasting but it's free if you buy a bottle. I needed up buying two! I first did the red tasting. There wasn't a single wine I didn't like and that's rare for me. I even tried two whites(not a big white wine fan) and I ended up waking away with a white. Our hose was one of the sons. I can't remember his name.... But if you're reading this I was the one who came in with the pregnant DD friend. He guided me through all the wines and how they're made. Even sampled one he's working on. Ended up buying a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon and Sauvignon Blanc. They also sell some chocolates. I purchased but I haven't tried them yet. 10/10. Can't wait to come back.

We're not wine connoisseurs, but the bottle of Sauvignon Blanc we bought was 13 years old. (They're supposed to be consumed within 2-3 years). Please see photo posted.

*****AVOID*****AVOID*****AVOID*****AVOID*****AVOID…read more Something is very wrong in this industrial storage facility. 1. The tasting list was last updated 2.5 years ago. The list has the date on it. See photo. 2. During a tour of the storage facility we saw over 1000 cases of wines - most of which were from a 2003 vintage and some whites dated back to the 1990's. If the list prices for his wines are to believed, this would be about $500,000 worth of unsold inventory that is 15-25 years old. 3. The "collection" of art is everywhere and Keith Nichols says that some of it was worth thousands and available for purchase. Here is the description of the wines offered for tasting: 2005 Sauv Blanc $23 - Sauv Blancs need to be consumed within 5 years of vintage or risk severe oxidation. The 10 year old wine in our glasses was the color of brewed tea and tasted foul. 2001 Chardonnay $31 - The 16 year old wine was fully oxidized with the color of Coca Cola. Tasted foul. 1997 Merlot $49 - 20 year old fully oxidized wine, the color of strong brewed coffee. Tasted foul 2003 Syrah $39 - Fully oxidized wine, the color of strong brewed coffee. Tasted foul 1999 Meritage $49 - Fully oxidized wine, the color of strong brewed coffee. Tasted foul 1996 Cabernet Sauvignon $55 - Fully oxidized wine, the color of strong brewed coffee. Tasted foul Each of the wines went directly to the dump bucket after a tiny sip. When asked when the bottles were opened, Keith responded "earlier today". Also, he volunteered that he prefers to keep his wines 10 years in the bottle before releasing them. When asked where are his wines with a vintage date newer than 2007, he responded that they were all "at the bottler". That raised our suspicions even more that he is able to store 9 years of bottled wine at his bottler - sure Keith, sure. He mulishly collected the $10 per person tasting fee despite the failed tasting event. These are the facts surrounding our tasting. You draw your own conclusions about what is REALLY going on here. Just imagine it has been the same wines in the same spoiled condition for 2.5 years, at least. You have been warned.

Given we were staying nearby by, we popped in for a drink or two! And I am glad we did! This cider house has really developed since we've been here last! If you like traditional British cider, then this is your place! If you fancy sweet cider like ACE, then you make want to skip this place! This place offers really dry ciders! Typical of what you will find in the UK! So the name of this cider house is appropriate! The cider are also strong: ciders range from 7-11 percent! Yes 11 percent: that's a good punch for a cider! All the ciders were great! We appreciate the bartender in letting us sample the ciders before getting our pints! The cider house also features music! During music nights the place fills up: so get there early for a good seat! The couch is super comfy! In summary: definitely worth the stop if you like dry cider!

The biggest selling point to me is that people said on Yelp that the ciders are not too sweet, and that's EXACTLY the case. I'm so use to every cider I have always being really sweet, but these are not, just really good flavor. There are multiple ciders on tap, each one having their own backstory. You might think, cider is cider, are the flavors really that different? But each one comes from a different varietal blend of apples and they're also brewed using different methods. There's a menu that tells you about the apples of each one. Each one has a different alcohol content, and they have very unique flavors. I highly recommend getting a sampler flight, then getting a glass of your favorite one. Just be careful, some of them are pretty strong haha so uber or have a designated driver. I also want to add, the bartender was extremely friendly and loved talking about the ciders, and the entire room has a nice whimsical ambiance. The bar has an old-english pub feel to it, and there's a stage in the back of the room that I guess they do music performances on. We came later in the day and had just missed the music, the bartender said that they do a community jam every week where people just bring their instruments and jam out. Sounds really fun! Oh yea, I also forgot to mention as we were about to leave some locals came in and we were talking to them for a bit. Super nice people, this place definitely curates a really welcoming environment great for both locals and out of towners alike. And parking is super easy, it has its own lot, and there's also plenty of street parking because it's located in an industrial cul-de-sac.
