Everyone was friendly, engaging, informative, caring and helpful. The reception staff were cheerful and prompt. I felt that the technicians taking my eye measurements and pertinent information were competent and thorough, listening well as I described what I was experiencing or what I needed. Allison helped me specially on several occasions--she has to be incredibly busy, and yet I always felt her friendly attention, interest and helpfulness to be very focused on meeting my needs. My experience with Dr. Kullas was beyond... I cannot recommend Dr. Christopher Kullas more highly: I could not have found a better physician and surgeon for my cataracts. Anywhere! On the technical and operational side, rarely have I met a person so meticulous--a quality so necessary in this work when you are dealing with measurements in microns or something like that. I felt confident by the information he imparted that he truly was expert in this area. He was very forthcoming about potential complications in my situation, and he involved me in his decision to diverge from his original plan to potentially increase the likelihood of the most optimal outcome based on my needs and wants, explaining his rationale and giving me choice. His plan worked! On the personal side, I found him to be a very caring physician and one invested in good communications. I found him easy to talk to, comfortable, genuinely pleasant and highly personable. He takes his time, ensuring you get what you need from him as he considers reasonable options. He explains well and checks-in with you. I felt informed, plus I felt wholly attended to. He is responsive. I never felt pressed or rushed even when extra time was needed for checking my specifics or optimizing strategies for my case. It was made clear to me on several occasions--and not all involving me--that he is dedicated to best outcomes for patients. I cannot recommend him highly enough. I trusted him with my eyes--I would trust him with a lot more.

I was scared (for no reason, it turns out) but that fear turned to surprise after my almost-fun experience at the surgery center. We…read morescheduled an emergency appointment with Subong who didn't even review the medical report from the emergency room where he was initially seen and acted flippant and completely uninterested during the appointment. He concluded the visit by saying he wanted to see him in 3 months because "he was lazy" which delighted his assistant who began laughing while my mom and I were on the verge of tears in the room. Keep in mind that my dad was still completely blind. He offered no reassurance, next steps, or advice. Just shuffled out of the office saying he was going to be on vacation for the next few weeks. We went to another retina specialist who recommended an emergency vitrectomy which was successfully completed this week. My dad has now regained vision in his affected eye. The doctors here care more about going on climbing adventures and getting as many patients through the door to pad their pockets than they do about providing actual compassion and healthcare. The most unprofessional, uncaring doctor and practice we've ever had the misfortune of coming into contact with.

I would give him NO Star if I could. I'm not one to leave a bad review unless something truly…read moreterrible occurs. With that being said, Dr. Kim was my fathers Doctor, my father has glaucoma in both eyes and cataracts in one eye. Dr. Kim's was very insistent about my dad getting cataract surgery, so his office scheduled my dad for the surgery, I flew home and took off work to take care of my dad. We showed up the day of the surgery 30 minutes early where we were informed that my father's surgery was canceled to our shock and dismay. I called Dr. Kim's office for an explanation for the unceremonious cancellation, the gentleman I spoke with said the surgery had been cancelled due to the fact that my father was last seen by Mr. Kim in early December and that was too many months between the surgery(which was in mid March) and the last office visit. I asked why my dad was not informed of this when they scheduled his surgery and why we never received a phone call nor a voicemail telling us the surgery was canceled, the man told me that someone from Dr. Kim's office had called my dad that day. We NEVER received that voicemail and did not have any missed call from Dr. Kim's office. Regardless if Dr. Kim's office called us on the surgery day (which they did not) that is unacceptable. Both the man I spoke with and the office manager admitted this scheduling error was their fault and should have been caught much earlier. To make matters worse, when I finally talked to Dr. Kim the next day he admitted to me he didn't look at my dads chart until 11 pm the night before him surgery. ARE YOU KIDDING ME! The next day after the supposed surgery day, Dr. Kim examined my dad and he concluded that he doesn't think my dad needs cataract surgery after all. WHAT!!!!! How do you go from needing cataract surgery to not needing the surgery. HUGE RED FLAG Dr. Kim was not apologetic at all, he acted like it was not a big deal to cancel a surgery last minute. I explain to him that I had to take time off work and fly here for the surgery to take care of my dad, but he couldn't have cared less. I explained that due to his and his office error it costed me almost $1,000 in travel and lost wages. I wrote Dr. Kim and his office a letter giving a detail account of everything that happened and how much their mistake cost me in travel expense and lost wages. I received a letter back saying they refuse to reimburse me for anything. I will never let my father go to this doctor ever again. I have already found my dad a new doctor. I chose to wait to write this review to give Dr. Kim the opportunity to make things right, he chose not to.

Scheduling my pre-OP appointment/evaluation was easy. After seeing my regular eye doctor they referred me to PCLI. I received a call from the scheduling company within a day or two. She worked around my schedule and I got an appointment on the calender. A week before my evaluation, I received a message that they needed to reschedule and they gave me a time that didn't work with my kids drop-off schedule for camp. I left a few messages and an email to say I couldn't make the time they rescheduled me for. I finally got a call back ther morning of my appointment. That was frustrating but we got things figured out. My evaluation was fast. I waited 2 minutes before being taken back. The doctor stayed as long as I had questions and I never felt rushed. After that they let me consider and think about the risks and told me to just give the scheduler a call when I was ready if I wanted to move forward. Never any assumptions that I would but left it in my hands to make the best choice for me. I really appreciated that. They never held back or diminished the possible risks flit such a surgery. Scheduling my lasik appointment was again really simple. I called the lady I worked with before. A week before my surgery the scheduler called to tell me a few things to do or not do that week in preparation. She also answers my last few questions and really put my anxiety at ease. I really appreciated her. The morning of the surgery I had my husband drop me off before taking children to school which meant I was there 20 minutes early. No big deal. I enjoyed the atmosphere of the place and the company of the ladies at the front. At 8:30 they took me back to the prep area. They had a locked locker for me to store my belongings of which they gave me a key so only I could access it. They were so very nice. They even gave me a gift for choosing them (a fleece vest). My husband was allowed to come back with me and watch the procedure. Before the procedure the doctor came to introduce himself and to answer any concerns. Wow! Impressive and shows great patient care. Once I'd been numbed to a degree they took me back to a sterile surgery room. Before they started the doctor asked if he could pray ( he would have skipped this if had asked). I said of course but I also wanted to pray for them. It was a very special moment and the feeling in the room was one of sweetness. The doctor told me everything that was happening as it was happening. I knew what to expect. It was a fast procedure. All in all from being brought to the prep area to walking out the door I was there an hour. It never felt rushed either and I never had pain or discomfort. I highly recommend this facility. Professional, speedy, thorough, customer oriented, beautiful facility. Can't go wrong.
