I tried the spinach artichoke dip and the hummus. The dip was excellent, rich and flavorful, while the hummus was just okay. One downside is the pricing. Both the prepared foods and the candy and novelty items felt quite expensive. The shop was fairly crowded during my visit on a Tuesday, which made it a bit difficult to move around and browse comfortably. It did start to feel a little overwhelming at times, though it is easy to see why it draws a crowd given the sheer variety and unique selection. My favorite was the Hammond coconut crème bar! i'd gone with moms to the store, at which she is a member, in search of rap snacks, of which i've…read morehad the nicki minaj truffle variety from there before. however, that flavor was not available in store at sam club as of last week. nonetheless, momma was able to easily locate the bulk supply of toilet paper she went to get for the house, and it fit comfortably in the large sized carts at the store, which i'd not noticed before, but seem fitting for a store specializing in bulk products to have. then, for the nostalgia of childhood trips with moms to the store, at which we would get pizza and drinks from the food court, i'd got in line to order a large pizza and icee freezie, but before i arrived, momma realized she can order via the sam club app, so she did, and the pizza was ready by about the time i'd have arrived to the front. that said, the worker delivering the pizza did not give me a drink at first, suggesting that mobile customers remember to ask for drink orders or the store include drink orders on the ticket that the worker delivering the pizza sees. nonetheless, the drink was tasty and refreshing, having melted to a liquidy consistancy by when we arrived at the crib. and the pizza was delicious, generous in size and cheese proportion. and although a remark from momma that the pizza smells good but kinda like cardboard did not resonate with me at the time, it has hit me afterward that most all pizza in a pizza box smells a bit like cardboard . and considering the pizza cost 8 and some change, even if her remark was meant as a critique, a cost valuable, good quality pizza is still superior to me than is an expensive one.

i'd first seen the convenience store and gas station some months ago when it replaced the similar…read morestore and gas station called kum n go, and though the name of the new business evokes in me an intrigue as to any intended, although less pronounced, continuation of the kkk practice, especially in the united states south of replacing the letter c with the letter k in certain words. nonetheless, giving the store a benefit of doubt, i'd decided to look past any such association to a less serious linguistic connection, that between the name of the business and a certain nba team, the dallas mavericks. having not researched any significance of spelling between the business name and team name, i'd instead challenged myself to find any thunder associated product names to support by proxy the home state team, the oklahoma city thunder. and i obtained success in the endeavor by purchasing an energy drink of the brand name up time, evocative of the okc thunder team fan slogan &thunder up&. the low calorie, raspberry lemon flavored energy drink had a good, mildly sweet taste, and did not leave me with a caffeine headache, as i've experienced with other brands of energy drink. further, to celebrate the cinco de mayo holiday on that day, i'd also purchased a pack of sabritas mexican style mix peanuts, which reflect some positives of food production collaboration between the united states and mexico, such as bilingualism and the production of revolutionary flavor, like the flavor similar to the spicy flamin hot, introduced by mexican american inventor richard montanez. and further, the mildly spicy peanuts had a delicious taste. lastly, while the self-checkout monitors at the counter are the first such devices i've seen at a convenience store, the placement lends toward an awkward decision between requesting to be checked out by a cashier or completing self-checkout under direct supervision. and so, i'm of the belief these devices would be more practical apart from the counter, even if such a location requires hiring a self-checkout attendant or closing the monitors occasionally. and as a sort of p.s., i'd noticed some maverik brand jerky flavors, so am considering a return visit to purchase some to try.

Recently, the store began limiting side options, for the $5 meal to mash potatoes, green beans, fried okra and potato wedges, but failed to update signage or inform customers, which constitutes deceptive "bait and switch" advertising. Workers and cooks behind the counter explain macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes, and loaded baked potato are reserved for the more expensive meals. No signage in the advertising explains this. In fact, in the advertised photo, macaron and cheese is included in the $5 meal, which is not only misleading, but constitutes false business practices, false advertising, and confusing to customers. When I politely approached and spoke with the Customer Service Experience Manager, Brandon McManus, he was rude, racist and disrespectful, and seemingly angry. Clearly he was prejudice. dismissive, and uninformed about the policy change. He told me the issue "did not matter" and refused to help, explaining it is what it was; otherwise, "take it or leave it", attitude. I am not used to being treated with such disdain and discourtesy from a business. I request that Reasor's/Brookshire Grocery Co clarify their $5 meal offerings, provide transparent signage, and ensure management treats customers respectfully, while refraining from engaging in illicit, and unethical business practices. Also, refrain from being defensive when a customer kindly approaches your staff and asks multiple questions. It is okay to admit not knowing something, but not okay to get irate, rude, unprofessional with customers w/o trying to at least investigate the situation and get back with the customer. It's not okay to be illiterate on product offerings, policy changes.
