We love all the Route 66 throwbacks and really hope they never change the Route 66-themed bathrooms or move the Mother Road show semi out front. It gives the whole place such a fun, nostalgic vibe you don't find at most travel centers. There are tons of food choices, a truck wash/tub, and even a barber on site which is pretty rare these days. They usually have mid price gas, and you know that your money is staying within the community so that is a big advantage. It's the street that you wouldn't really drive down unless you were coming in to Joplin for something or unless you lived here - which is why I say it's for locals. Everyone was hoping you'd figure it out and put it back where we decided where we wanted to go. People are naturally more efficient and use common sense, your way is slow and wasteful. I recently was in a Sam's in another state and was shocked at the difference, nicer facilities, clean restrooms, no micromanagement of the gas lines and no congestion. The store was nearer, cleaner, more like a Cisco with better presentation. I didn't realize it's just ours that's unkept, messy and unattractive.
