    Brown Sugar Milk Drink

This place is super cute!! The service was quick and the workers were friendly and answered any questions I had! I got the Brown Sugar Milk Tea and it was so delicious. It had cream cheese foam on top and it was just amazing. I'm obsessed with the cups and I love that you can take them home! I use it for my everyday drinks now. My friend got the Thai milk tea and she also enjoyed it so much!! We'll definitely visit again!

The best boba in troy mi!!! No matter what flavor you get you can count on it tasting well balanced and not overall sweet. Kuma clearly uses real and fresh ingredients which is rare to find in a boba shop these days. They are conveniently opened late and theres a drive through so if you're ever in the mood for boba kuma wont disappoint.

My first time ever going here I got the Mango Smoothie and it was very disappointing because it was very watered down and didn't taste of mango. Two drinks that I did like from here were the Thai Tea and Mango Strawberry Green Tea. The tapioca pearls themselves are alright compared to other boba places. Overall, I don't go here often but I like the decor and certain drinks.

Got a honeydew milk tea and it was delicious! It's not overly sweet like most places and the boba was good, although a little chewier than I like so I could tell it wasn't super fresh. The glass cups are the coolest part because I will definitely be using it at home now!

Since I was craving some boba in the area, I decided to check out Kuma after seeing the amazing photos online. In comparison for pricing, it's a more higher end option for boba in the area. Crystal Pink Lemonade: It sounded appealing. It seemed like a great option with it's cute sparkles and can't go wrong with lemonade drinks. Quite refreshing and came with a free topping (went with the Lychee Jelly). The glass jar was a great bonus too that you can reuse. Friendly staff and good quality drinks. It's a great spot to go if you're feeling like a special treat or a casual spot to hangout. There's a great variety of drinks to choose from and lots of pictures which was helpful in the decision making. Overall, I highly recommend coming to visit.

This is one of my favorite boba shops in the area!! The boba here is consistently on point. I would dare say probably the most consistent out of all the boba shops I've tried in Southeast Michigan (and it's a lot). I usually get 0% sugar since the boba is usually sweet enough to sweeten the rest of the milk tea. I usually get the Kuma milk tea. The balance of the tea and the milk is just right for me, with tea flavors on the stronger side. I've also tried their fruit drinks which are also bomb. These contain real fruit pieces which is a huge plus for me. The drinks are served in these adorable glass mason jars you can keep or bring back to receive a 10% discount on your next order (10% discount per jar returned). Service is efficient. The ambiance is chill and casual. Will definitely be back!

This is one of those 16oz glass jar boba gimmick places. Expensive and small, but hey, you get a glass jar out of it. Kuma Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice, w/ Boba ($7) - The milk tea was quite good. Very strong black tea flavor, higher in caffeine. Almost reminded me of a teh tarik. Half sweet was very good in this case, it helped bring out the tea flavor a lot more. At a lot of other places, if you reduce the sweetness too much, it starts tasting like the drink is really watered down, but Kuma has a good tea body. The bad part - while it's a free topping, the boba is not good. Kuma is one of the few places that way overcooks their boba, resulting in an exterior that sloughs off and becomes almost grainy, while the interior is extremely soft and missing any sense of qq texture. The milk tea is probably a 4/5 or 5/5 type of drink, but the boba brings my rating way down. You return your glass for 10% your next drink, which also stacks (so 10 glasses returned means you get a free drink). Although, the cost premium is so large that even with glass returns, you are paying more for the size than comparable places.

Customer service was not the friendliest. We got the Thai tea and strawberry milk tea, I would not recommend, maybe other items on their menu are better. Cups are cute tho!

I ordered Kuma Milk Tea online, I gave 2 stars because I didn't like my drink and the boba is not good.

This is one of my more favorite milk tea spots just because I think they were one of the first spots that offered non-dairy/milk alternatives a while back! I love the staff here, the service is always quick & efficient being that I'm usually on my way to work. The ambiance in here is also cute if you like to come sit & enjoy your drink/food inside! I love their menu selection & you can never go wrong with their reusable cups!!

Small, but very open boba shop. I love the concept of boba being served in reusable glass jars and that you can buy reusable straws. I think I got the lavender milk tea which was good. The service was nice. Only downside is that the samosas my friend ordered did not look like the picture advertised for the side dish. They were very tiny.

I ordered the jasmine milk tea and a taro; both with light ice and 100% sweetness. I didn't enjoy either one. The glass bottles were nice but I would take a regular non glass container if it keeps the cost down. $6 for jasmine milk and $7.50 for the taro are a bit outrageous, in my opinion. The taro had some coconut cream on the bottom which I thought I mixed well, but still didn't prepare me for the texture. That's more on me then them. But I did not like it. I've had taro boba from numerous places that I absolutely loved and thought it was my favorite flavor. This one let me down. The jasmine milk tea was not sweet or flavorful for me selecting 100% sweetness. Alas, it was a let down overall. But I'm all about trying multiple things on a menu before I completely call it quits. So I will be back.

Hello! I noticed that for some of the pictures the drinks aren't in a jar. Are there specific orders that only come with the jar or is that a personal choice?

A bit of background on my obsession on coffee, I am not an individual that drinks a cup of joe with 500 syrups and 80 cups of milk and say "this is the best coffee EVER!" If it's my first time getting coffee from a coffee shop, I will get a plain black coffee. Therefore, I ordered black iced coffee, which had a good balance in flavors. As for a second coffee, I ordered the Iced Cafe Miel Latte with oat milk. This drink was very good and there was an even ratio between coffee and milk, not too sweet too. Originally, I wanted to grab my coffee and sit inside the coffee shop (from the view outside, the shop looked pretty and modern) but there was no parking spots and the parking lot is beyond small but I did see folks park in the establishment next door and walk over. The drive thru is narrow but the wait time was a bit long and the person at the drive thru didn't seem enthusiastic. Overall, I did enjoy the coffee but I do not see the hype. It basic coffee, nothing that stands out from the rest. I must say the coffee was a bit overpriced, it did not match the quantity. Would I recommend this place to others? I would, only if you're in the area. I wouldn't drive out of my way (20 min) to grab a coffee from this spot.

I highly recommend their chicken and beef kebabs -- both were incredibly tender, perfectly seasoned, and full of rich, authentic flavor. The texture and taste were spot‑on. I also treated myself to the famous Turkish dessert katmer served with Maraş ice cream (made from goat milk), and it was absolutely delicious. It's rare to find a place that can deliver such high‑quality, traditional Turkish flavors with this level of authenticity. The atmosphere is warm, friendly, and beautifully decorated, making it a great spot for anyone who values both excellent food and a welcoming dining experience. I definitely plan to return with my family. It's a hidden gem, and in my experience -- after trying restaurants across Germany, France, and England -- this place truly meets international quality standards. Definitely a must‑try for anyone who loves great food and genuine Turkish cuisine.

The Ottoman Empire Revived: A Remarkable Culinary Experience at Galata Turkish Cuisine & Café…read more For quite some time, I had been driving past Galata Turkish Cuisine & Café, curious about what awaited inside. Having experienced what I considered the finest Turkish kebab in Atlanta, Georgia, I admittedly arrived with high expectations. I left realizing those expectations had not only been met--they had been exceeded. My meal began with a choice of either a soft drink or traditional Turkish tea included with the combination platter. Opting for the tea turned out to be one of the best decisions of the afternoon. Delicate, aromatic, and beautifully balanced, it carried subtle floral notes of lavender that elevated it from a simple beverage to an experience in itself. Every sip was elegant and memorable. For my entrée, I selected the "3 in 1" combination, featuring chicken kebab, steak kebab, and a ground meat kebab. The presentation was exceptional and reflected the care that clearly goes into every dish. Accompanying the kebabs were a beautifully grilled tomato, a serving of what appeared to be seasoned barley, a grilled jalapeño pepper, and a vibrant red onion salad dressed with olive oil, vinegar, and what I believe was sumac, all accented with fresh mint. Each protein was executed flawlessly. The chicken was tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned, demonstrating a mastery of both cooking technique and spice balance. The ground meat kebab, reminiscent of an exceptional döner preparation, was rich, succulent, and bursting with complex flavors that unfolded beautifully on the palate. The true standout, however, was the steak kebab. If it wasn't filet mignon, it certainly rivaled it in tenderness. Expertly charred on the outside while maintaining a medium-rare interior with a delicate ruby-red center, it delivered everything one could hope for in a premium cut of beef. Each bite was remarkably tender, practically melting in the mouth while offering deep, smoky flavor from the grill. What impressed me most was how every component on the plate contributed to a cohesive dining experience. Nothing felt like an afterthought. From the tea to the garnishes, every detail reflected authenticity, craftsmanship, and pride. I do not offer this praise lightly: this was, without question, the finest meal I have enjoyed in Michigan in at least the last two years. During my visit, I jokingly told the owner that whenever asked what my last meal would be, my answer had always been Eggs Benedict--my longtime favorite dish. After dining at Galata, however, I would have to seriously reconsider that answer. The meal was that good. If you appreciate authentic cuisine, expertly prepared meats, and a dining experience that transports you far beyond your surroundings, Galata Turkish Cuisine & Café deserves a place at the top of your list. This is not merely a restaurant--it is a celebration of Turkish culinary tradition. I cannot recommend it highly enough.
