Great service and price. Will be a returning customer. Tires are under warranty for 55,000 miles as long as we hold on to the receipt .

At that time, the 3333 address was the last business address going north on Mchenry. Dad had a racecar shop, which was added on sometime in about 1969, just past the original tire shop, and a large tire yard behind a 6-ft wood fence. That is where Dad kept my horse, Big Red, a very tall, very old sorrel gelding. My pet goat Becky was there with him to keep him company. It was common to pull into the business parking lot and see Red's giant head resting on top of the fence, and Becky standing on a pile of tires, right beside him.. I actually used to ride him in the big fields full of milk thistle (his favorite snack) which were just beyond the shop., where McHenry turned into flat farmland and emptiness. The last time I was there, I barely recognized the area, but there was that familiar sign. In reading the reviews, I see McCoy's is still going strong with the new ownership, who are still providing the best tires and service in town, just like in the old days!

The true core Value of running a business is the treatment of the consumer which I hold in high regard. A while ago. I had a issue with my tire and they treated me kind , then I needed a new Tire ( second experience with them ) I needed to replace the tire so I went back (They treated me very well then ) Today was my 3rd experience with them. 3 different issues completely different years of service... As they may service tons of people and not remember me personally ( to my surprise they actually did have my previous encounter stored and knew exactly which tire they replaced) I certainly remembered how they treated me in the past.TODAY WAS NO DIFFERENT they had me in and out of there and my experience was just as pleasant. Thank you to the McCoy Crew Sincerely ,Angela

Unfortunately I was in college up north and was unable to do his brakes for him at the time back in 2022, so he came to this shop. They are already bad, and he works from home and hardly drives the car. They misquoted eBay brakes and charged a sweet old man over $500 for what, 3 bolts a side and some retainer clips? Do NOT come here if you don't have knowledge of cars and protect your family and friends. They lied about the cost of the pads by a 250% price hike which is illegal. I will 100% be seeking some recourse with the BBB, and an attorney. I have the time and money and I'm big on honesty and integrity, something this shop lacks in spades. To top it off, they argued this is a typical charge in the Modesto area. Brakes are the easiest thing on any car, and they're largely the same unless you're adapting different brakes. Unacceptable and highly lacking in integrity, that's what you'll find at Northern Wheel and Tire. They didn't even know what Worldpac is, which is a horrible sign for anyone touching your car. Edit: I was not at all irate, I was polite and this guy starts interrupting me, telling me I'm incompetent (I did my own cams and timed them, Porsche 996 brakes on my non Porsche track car with adapters, clutch and flywheel, diff replacement and much, much more) and raised his voice first, which made me question the purpose of the call. I thought they'd be reasonable but they just gave me a reason to add to this review. I did tell him to stop interrupting me, and reminded him that respect comes from showing empathy, integrity and competency, which he showed zero of. At least the first front desk guy had people skills, this guy however was a class act.

At first I had the front wheels done first to see if that would take care of it. I paid and hopped on to the freeway to test them but seemed to be still the same so I went back and had the rear wheels done as well. That seemed to have improved a little bit but wasn't completely fixed but tolerable. I figured it could be something else causing the issue so I saved it to have it diagnosed further later. I paid $60 for the work done total ($30 on each pair) After driving for a few weeks the shaking on the steering wheel seemed to have become worse. So I took it to Firestone this time to get the balancing redone as well as alignment. And guess what? Yup, the issue is now gone when driving on the freeway. I've been to this shop quite a few times before and just feel that their work is just average. I came only because it's close to my home. But this will definitely be my last time as I paid for something was supposed to fix the problem but obviously didn't, not to mention money wasted. I somehow wonder if they did the work correctly, or even did the work at all even though I did see them took out the wheel from my car. SMH -_-

Unprofessional and Rude - Avoid!…read more Today I contacted "Mark" from COLOROMETICS, who responded via text, for a wheel repair quote. I needed about 4 inches of repair, and he quoted me $159 without any breakdown of the costs. This was significantly higher than another quote I received for $90 for a similar repair. While I understood with the other company that the $90 price might mean a less-than-perfect finish, Mark didn't even leave room for dialogue about options. A professional would have offered alternatives like, "Depending on what you want, we can try a less aggressive approach for $90," or something similar. He simply didn't seem to care about building a relationship with a potential client or exploring different solutions. What was truly off-putting, however, was Mark's unprofessional and unsolicited opinionated tone in his text messages. When discussing the repair, I may have used the wrong terminology like "blend," but it clearly set him off. He rudely responded with "It's not a painted finish so blending is not an option. Sounds like you got a someone that's doesn't know what they are talking about. Lol Best of luck to you." This defensive, dismissive, and frankly, childish attitude is a really horrible business practice. For such a short conversation with that much reactivity, I would imagine he's a nightmare when he believes a client wronged him my god. I would strongly advise against using COLOROMETICS or dealing with Mark. There are clearly other businesses out there that offer better pricing and, more importantly, professional and respectful customer service. Save yourself the drama and look elsewhere.
