Rim on new car got scratched up on a curb in a drive through coffee place. Bummer. I didn't get it fixed but I wanted to praise some high-quality customer service. Phone service is great. They give you the option of texting photos of the damage. I did and got a long-written response from Charlie, but he wanted to follow up with a phone call. Based on my damage Charlie could not fix it, and he explained in detail why he couldn't. He then told me about two shops that could help but explained the fixing process of one of the shops which was local and what to expect. The shop that could do the complete job is in Sacramento. I will contact them. I learned stuff that I hadn't even thought about! I really appreciated the time Charlie took to explain my dilemma. You don't find many shop owners that go out of there way like Charlie, especially knowing that he could not fix it. He could have just told me, "I can't fix that, sorry" and left it at that. I HIGHLY recommend Charlie's! I had a bad dent in my rim & had no idea on what to do. I went to Les Schwab & they gave me an estimate on all 4 rims & that came out to $843.. Extremely unprofessional owner. Called this shop to see why he couldn't claim my wheels as non repairable. Seeing as he said the front two are not repairable. Claims that the rears could be repaired. But when I asked him if I was too have him repair the rears would he put in writing and sign on it that if the wheel was split, crack, or damage the car or the driver in any way would he cover the damages? He said no because the roads could crack the rim anytime and anywhere. So if you can repair the wheel and are so good, why can't you place warranty or take responsibility of damages if the repair failed? Once a rim is bent or cracked that structure is no longer as strong as it once was.
