Absolutely the worst alignment experience I've ever had. I was told my camber was "even" and that…read morethe alignment was fine. It very clearly was not. When I questioned it, the owner brushed it off and blamed my car, saying he trusted the machine more,even though the camber was visibly off. That alone should've been the red flag. Instead he doubled down and dismissed it like I didn't know what I was looking at. I took my car to another alignment shop the same day, and surprise the camber was completely out of spec. Not slightly. Not borderline. Completely wrong. I had to pay for another full alignment immediately. The paperwork from both shops proves how bad this one messed up. Hiding behind "the machine says it's fine" while ignoring obvious, measurable issues is either incompetence or laziness,possibly both. An alignment shop that won't stand by their work or admit when they don't know what a camber kit is crazy to me when I installed a camber kit all around myself. This kind of work leads to uneven tire wear, bad handling, and safety problems. I have all documentation showing the difference. Don't let this shop gaslight you into thinking your car is the problem when they clearly are. Take your advice from a car enthusiasts and take your business literally anywhere else.

I reached out to this shop for an emergency alignment job. I had previously taken my car into a…read morenational, well-known franchise for regular maintenance. They informed me an alignment couldn't be completed by their shop. Unfortunately, after getting it back, my car was nearly impossible to steer, I would get thrown into other lanes and it felt like my car was going to slide right off the tires. It was dangerous to drive. Enter Manteca Tire & Wheel Outlet, after explaining what I needed I was told I could bring it in. They were open about not being able to do the job as well (I've owned the car for 10 years now, with several shops having difficulties aligning it--and no shop ever being able to get it to spec., even when the car was stock. It's a clear manufacturer defect.) And while it did take some time to complete, they were rather busy at the time, and still found time to accommodate me for this emergency. But they were very communicative during the entire process. They were even super apologetic they couldn't align it to spec., which I fully expected. Price was fairly good, much better than the previous shop, and they even gave me a break because it couldn't fully be aligned correctly. The car drives so much better now. Completely thankful to Manteca Tire & Wheel Outlet for getting this done and their honesty throughout the process!

I needed about 4 inches of repair, and he quoted me $159 without any breakdown of the costs. This was significantly higher than another quote I received for $90 for a similar repair. While I understood with the other company that the $90 price might mean a less-than-perfect finish, Mark didn't even leave room for dialogue about options. A professional would have offered alternatives like, "Depending on what you want, we can try a less aggressive approach for $90," or something similar. He simply didn't seem to care about building a relationship with a potential client or exploring different solutions. What was truly off-putting, however, was Mark's unprofessional and unsolicited opinionated tone in his text messages. When discussing the repair, I may have used the wrong terminology like "blend," but it clearly set him off. He rudely responded with "It's not a painted finish so blending is not an option. Sounds like you got a someone that's doesn't know what they are talking about. Lol Best of luck to you." This defensive, dismissive, and frankly, childish attitude is a really horrible business practice. For such a short conversation with that much reactivity, I would imagine he's a nightmare when he believes a client wronged him my god. I would strongly advise against using COLOROMETICS or dealing with Mark. There are clearly other businesses out there that offer better pricing and, more importantly, professional and respectful customer service. Save yourself the drama and look elsewhere. I had no issues with him being rude or anything like that, nice guy, I went out and let him know my problem with the car occasionally not starting right away and he took a look and let me know what the issue was and we scheduled him to come back a few days later on Tuesday for the fix, $75 to look at the car but he puts that money into the fix cost if you chose him to fix your car, I thought that was cool. He came back on Tuesday to replace the fuel pump and purge valve canister on my car and sent me a text when he was done with the repair. I was able to leave my keys in the car so he could just come and make the fix while I was at work, so that part was nice at least. That same day, on my lunch break, I went to swap the car I was driving with my newly "fixed" car. I was happy it started with no issue at first but when I was leaving from work later on, it had the same not starting issue it had before. I text him letting him know it was having the same issue as before that same Tuesday, he let me know it may be a faulty part and he can come check out what went wrong, I let him know I appreciated that and to let me know when he's available, that was on Tuesday, I waited till Friday for a response and nothing, so I text him asking for an update and he said that following Tuesday he will be passing by 3-4Pm, well Tuesday was yesterday and he no showed, didn't text or call me to say he needed to reschedule which I would have been fine with as long as he let me know. I left work early so I could be home 3-4PM yesterday and he just didn't show up. I would have preferred if he just mentioned he's not available to come again or be honest about whatever. I'm an understanding person so I wouldn't have issues with honesty or whatever may have come up. The total cost ended up being $750 for anyone that's curious. Unfortunately for me, I had to call another mechanic to come and take a look at my car this week to see what went wrong or if the issue was something else entirely. Good experience at the beginning but ended up down $750 and my car still having the same issue.

Don't even think about taking your wheels anywhere else other than Charlie's. It doesn't matter how bad your wheel is thrashed, bent, cracked, tacoed, or cut in two, he will tell you right off the bat if the rim is repairable or not. If he does the work on your wheel, It will be the best wheel on your rig, guaranteed. Even if you think it is too bad, always check with Charlie before spending the money on buying a new set of wheels. It's probably repairable if you take it to Charlie. Mine had a pretty good bend with a nasty crease from a pothole I ran into with the front wheel. Fixed me up, I was back on the road in less than two hours. The only drawback I would say with Charlie is, he is not a tire shop, so you have to run half a mile down the road to a tire shop to pop your tire off and then back on after Charlie's repairs. So, save yourself some time and have the tire off the rim before you get there. He would do his business a good favor by finding someone and going partners with a tire shop. I hit a piece of debris on the freeway that wrecked a tire and left a dent and crack in my rim. I wasn't sure if it was possible to repair damage like this to aluminum wheels, as I have tig welded aluminum myself and I know how easily it can go wrong. I also wasn't sure if there would be any issues with metal fatigue from the crack. I gave charlie a call and he explained his process to me and he assured me that he does these repairs all the time...long story short- the rim was repaired in about an hour for about 1/5 the cost of a new rim. Charlie is truly an expert. BTW- there was NO issue with the wheel balance after the repair. read more

I went to McCoy's Tire on 9th St. for an alignment, and discovered that three of my alloy wheels on my Jetta were bent. McCoy's took my rims to Charlies Rim Repair, and they came back perfect. I saved around $750.00 by not having to replace the rims. Two of my bent rims were actually egg shaped, and Charlie was able to fix them. I highly recommend this business to anyone with bent rims.
