    The maki combo.
    Austin A.

It was delicious. I ordered the maki combo and it hit different. We were seated almost instantaneously on a Sunday after church. Every seat was taken after about 30 minutes. I tried th hibachi meal thing. The steak was a little chewy, but tasted delicious. I also tried to crazy tuna roll, and tiger roll. Both were delicious (watch out for wasabi on the tiger roll). It is my favorite sushi spot in town.

Located in a strip mall, Kumo Asian Garden is a nice lunch spot at affordable prices. Can get 5 piece nigiri sushi appetizer for about $6, and hibachi chicken/terriyaki for a bit less than $10. Will come here frequently for lunch as it is about five minutes from my job site. Rice dishes are flavorful. Chicken and beef are cut into nice chunks and sautéed with a good sauce. Vegetables include broccoli, onions, zucchini - plentiful and flavorful and what you would expect from a hibachi dish. Sushi is decent, nothing spectacular, but can't say anything bad about. And it's very cheap. Cute little place for sure.

Terrific food with quality ingredients and a prompt staff. Doesn't look like much from the outside, but inside offers a more laid back vibe with dim lighting. The lunch specials are my go-to. Can't beat the sushi lunch imo. 3 rolls for ~$13! Always fresh & consistent. Online ordering makes it easy to pickup within 15 minutes.

Most sushi restaurants aim for quiet elegance. Sake Roll &…read moreGrill went with giant sports bar television and hoped the sushi would keep up. This place is a little off the beaten path, but the reviews looked promising, so we decided a small sushi road trip was in order. I walked in expecting the usual sushi restaurant vibe. Instead I was greeted by a television so large it could probably pick up signals from space. When I say massive, I mean it takes up an entire wall. Nothing pairs with delicate nigiri quite like a television the size of a drive-in movie screen. The all you can eat menu is a little limited when it comes to rolls, which was a bit surprising. But the nigiri selection was actually pretty strong and, more importantly, surprisingly fresh. Plenty of options and the fish held up well over multiple rounds. The cooked items were also plentiful, which helps if someone in your group is not fully committed to the raw fish lifestyle. Overall, I enjoyed the food. The service, however, moved at a pace that felt very... deliberate. Very, very slow. Slow enough that you start wondering if the rice is being strategically deployed to fill you up before your next order arrives. Still, the food was good and the experience enjoyable enough to land at a slightly above average four stars. Tip: come with extra time and patience. Settle in, watch a good sporting event on that enormous TV, and pack away some pretty solid sushi. Four stars. A little off the beaten path, a little slow on the service, but good sushi and possibly the biggest TV you will ever see in a sushi restaurant.

That may be because service was ridiculously slow! From where we were in the bar, we couldn't hear anyone's name being called and they don't use a notification system to inform you when your table is ready. So after waiting an hour and a half, we went to the front and asked the host, "how much longer do we have to wait?" Oh we have seats for you now, Argh! After seating, they immediately took our order and had appetizers and drink refills in front of us. So while things started really slow, it quickly picked up. Our food was being started on the grill and we were again happy. Much to my surprise and disappointment was the handling of food, by the cook! On the raw plate, was steak, chicken, lobster, shrimp, and scallops all separate but lumped together cross contaminating one another. And it got worse! After the chef had cooked everything, he realized nobody ordered chicken and he put the cooked chicken back onto the raw food plate! Aside from that, the food that was cooked for our meal, was done so very well. We liked it while we ate at the restaurant. However, upon returning home, our stomachs were a wreck and we stank of garlic! Surprised because none of us saw any being cooked. This has to be a love hate. Because on one hand we loved the food and ambiance, while we hated the service and food handling. The staff all was pleasant and seemed to be working hard but a little clueless.

Food- 4.2/5 Atmosphere- 2.7/5…read more Service-0.5/5 Let me start by saying the food here is not a problem. The rice is very good, the sushi is not bad. The raw sushi could use some work but is still better than the other sushi in the area. My problem would be with the atmosphere and service. It is small and often very packed, and they play remakes of 2000's music. Also I would give the service 0 stars. I've had enough bad experiences here with service to not come back even though I love the food. It takes over an hour to get a refill if you even do. They have gotten our orders wrong multiple times, and even once refused to replace the wrong item or take it off the bill. The manager and the waiter both argued with us instead of just correcting the food. As someone who has worked in the food industry this is not how it works. This place aims to be a fancy dining experience with luxury meals, but you can not have luxury food with inefficient and rude service. I doubt you will read this as you evidently don't care what's your customers think, but you are losing customers due to poor service. Word spreads quickly in Cleveland and with bad service you will not last. It would be a shame for the food quality to go to wait because of lack of management and service.

We were told over the phone that the ramen was gluten-free as long as it was made with the rice noodles. Based on that information, we drove over with our family, including a very hungry child. After we were seated, I told our waitress that I was gluten-free and that we had called ahead about the menu. Instead of letting us know right away that there was an issue, she went to speak with the manager, and we spent about 10 minutes looking over the menu and deciding what to order. When the manager finally came to our table, she told us they actually did not have any gluten-free options. I explained that we had specifically called ahead and were told the ramen was gluten-free with rice noodles. She clarified that only the plain rice noodles themselves were gluten-free--not the ramen or broth. That is very different from what we were told over the phone. I then asked whether I could order a poke bowl with white or brown rice. She said the rice was not gluten-free because it was prepared with sugar and vinegar. Since sugar and vinegar are typically gluten-free ingredients, I asked for clarification, but she simply repeated that she does not make any of the rice gluten-free and was unwilling to help identify anything on the menu that I could safely eat. I do appreciate that she refused to serve me something if she believed it wasn't safe. As someone with a gluten allergy, I'd much rather be told "no" than end up having an allergic reaction. However, the entire situation could have been avoided if we had been given accurate information over the phone or if we had been informed immediately after being seated instead of waiting while we looked through the menu. The biggest frustration was the wasted trip and wasted time. We drove over specifically because we were told there were gluten-free options, only to leave hungry with our family after sitting there with a hungry child. Better staff training and clearer communication about gluten-free options would go a long way in preventing this from happening to someone else.
