I reminded the waitress that part of my order was missing. Forty-five minutes later, when I finally managed to get her attention again, I had to repeat the same reminder. Another fifteen minutes passed before a second waitress came by, and we informed her that I was still waiting on my order. Meanwhile, every table around us--and everyone else in my own party--continued receiving their food without issue. Shortly afterward, the second waitress returned to tell me they were "currently making more rice." More rice? How does an all you can eat sushi restaurant run out of rice in the middle of service? When my food finally arrived, the portion was noticeably smaller than what others at my table had received earlier. I ordered several additional items afterward. While they didn't take another hour to arrive, the entire experience still kept my group sitting there for over two hours. To make matters worse, the food itself was mediocre--some dishes were extremely hot, others were barely lukewarm. The service was poor from start to finish, and despite all of this, our group of four was forced to pay an outrageous $81 because an automatic 18% gratuity is added to parties of six or more at a table. I am not someone who expects special treatment or acts entitled, but due to the excessive wait, missing food, and consistently poor service, my meal should have been comped, and the automatic tip should never have been applied. Had the food been excellent and the service attentive, I wouldn't have hesitated to pay the $81--honestly, I would have likely tipped above 20%. I will not be returning to this establishment.
