Basically it's the neighborhood general store that serves the Ho'olehua community, and if I'm correct, I believe it's the only store in the area. I guess the folks here probably appreciate this store, otherwise you would have to drive to Kaunakakai to do your shopping. The Kualapuu Market has a little bit of everything here, fresh meats, some produce items, and of course their dry goods. For entertainment, they also had a video shoppe which appeared to be dvd's which you can probably rent. I popped into this general store to take a little look around, as well as to pick up some drinks while we were driving around town. I love visiting local businesses in remote areas........... Need something and don't wanna drive all the way to Kaunakakai? There's another store in the Ho'olehua area. Check 'em out gang! No can go wrong!

After shopping with family, we stopped here. They have been here lots of times, for me, my first time. They came here specifically for the icee floats. For me, it was all about the ice cream. The store is very clean and they had several friendly, young staff working behind the counter. I had such a hard time deciding which flavors I wanted. I love Dave's because they have so many local flavors. They even have sugar-free ice cream in a couple of basic flavors. The young lady even offered if I wanted to sample any. I finally decided on a scoop of kulolo ice cream and a scoop of toasted macadamia nut. Both of these I had never tried. It was awesome. There are some benches just outside the store so we planted ourselves on one of them and enjoyed our snacks. Glad that Kaunakakai has this snack shop, a place that deserves repeat business. The mocha daddy brings back memories of the mocha mama from coffees of Hawaii. The spam musubi from here is the best I've had on island. My husband loves the cappuccinos. Aunty always welcomed us with love. Her service is always exceptional. My husband and I are looking forward to our next visit so we can return for mocha daddies and cappuccinos.
