    Mushroom burger and fries

A long-time family place to hang out and chow down in Molokai. Bigger than it looks outside. Lots of both take-out and dine-in. There are some old-timey arcade machines by the counter and a change machine. Parking is in the lot in front or just off the road. The menu includes breakfast, pizza, burgers, pasta, and desserts (mostly ice cream). I had the mushroom burger and fries. Everything was pretty good and the staff are nice. It should continue to be a cornerstone of Molokai.

I wasn't sure to expect when I wandered over to this place. There really aren't that many options on Molokai and definitely not many that are open late. I was quite surprised at how tasty the food was! This was a very good pizza. I did a build my own because I like strange things on my pizza like pineapple and garlic rather than some of the pre-existing options. I was pleased. Excellent minced garlic mixed in, loads of cheese and of course tasty pineapple. There was a bit of sweetness to the sauce and the crust was a tiny bit thicker than I would have liked, but still done to perfection. The wait staff was great and very attentive. The small sized pizza was pretty good size and could have easily been shared. As far as the place itself goes it's right next to the only other open late place in the town. Everything here is very laid back and great for relaxing. If you're hunting for a pizza you don't have to make yourself, definitely give it a try you won't be disappointed!

Solid pizza options on the island! Ordered a large pepperoni and pineapple and hot wings. Both items were good and pro tip order ahead to save some time. The island is small with only one pizza place, the crust could be a little more authentic but overall tasty. The restaurant does have other dinner options and Wednesday night is Mexican themed food

Molokai Pizza defies the odds of staying alive after all these years. Located at the end of the Kaunakakai Wharf and the main crossroad, right next to Moloka'i Burger, it offers plenty of parking. The menu is inexpensive, simple, concise and matches what residents need: hand-fabricated pizzas, basic salads, entrees, sandwiches, burgers, a "canned" fountain of soft drinks, and daily specials. The overall ambiance is very clean, hung with decorative Hawaiian themed pictures and artifacts, with both sit down full service, and a take out counter for pick ups. It fills up quickly after 6pm with groups of families and deuces. Service is friendly, quick and polite. Between the two of us we ordered a large simple salad and medium "Molokai" pizza. The basic salad included roughly chopped iceberg lettuce with a smattering of thin-cut halved tomato slices, fat pieces of cucumber, and thick sliced onion pieces. The dressing we selected was individual packs of Kraft Ranch. Being some of the first customers on a Saturday night the freshly made pepperoni and cheese pizza came out fast, piping hot and very attractive delivered on a stand. The medium sized pizza hit the spot and was more than enough for two with breakfast leftovers. If you are seeking simple, quick, tasty and healthier food options this is a place to consider. Yes, sometimes menu items run out, but due to limited barge deliveries, inclement weather, and lack of consistent staffing, it is fortunate that the few remaining Molokai restaurants survive and flourish.

Molokai Pizza Cafe offers a delightful dining experience with a range of mouthwatering pizzas that capture the essence of island-inspired flavors. Nestled in a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, the cafe prides itself on fresh ingredients and a creative twist on classic pies. The crust is perfectly thick yet satisfying, with a slight crispness that provides a great foundation for the toppings. Their pizza, topped with pepperoni, bacon and mushroom is a standout--perfectly balanced. Overall, Molokai Pizza Cafe impresses with its attention to detail, quality ingredients, and ability to create pizzas that are both satisfying and unique. Whether you're a local or just visiting, this cafe is a must-try for pizza lovers who appreciate a bit of island flair. Their customer service is very friendly and makes you feel welcoming.

Come hungry, but be prepared to relax and not be in a hurry, remember, this is Molokai (which is great)! The pizza was delicious, with a sauce that was a bit sweet, not greasy and cooked just right. Our waitress really hustled to take care of everyone and was really pleasant as she worked hard to serve us all. A real treasure of a location!

Pizza was fine. The crust was a little soft. If I order SHEIN I will ask for a crispier crust.

We had a consistently positive experience here, trying several different items from the menu, and everything was delicious. Pizza - yum! The salads were my favorite. Beyond the great food, the staff truly made the experience special. The cashiers were always friendly, helpful, and seemed genuinely happy to be there. The restaurant itself was spotless, with employees constantly cleaning and maintaining a tidy environment. It's worth noting that no alcohol is served here, but the overall quality of the food and service more than makes up for it.

The best part about this place is the team. They do a phenomenal job and make you feel right at home. Pizza is good. I wish the crust had a little more "umph" Hit it when you are on island!

The burger is only available as a combo for about $25, the fish tacos were $36, fries are $7 (and unfortunately not very memorable), and the restaurant adds a 7.5% service fee before prompting for an additional gratuity. By the time everything is totaled up, what looks like a casual lunch turns into a very expensive meal. If you're looking for a splurge, the food is fine. If you're expecting a laid-back burger-and-taco spot with reasonable prices, you may experience some sticker shock. I'd happily come back for the food if the value proposition were better, but next time I'd probably look elsewhere for lunch.

However, the owner took the time to respond and explain that the entire shopping center wing was experiencing cooling issues and that the restaurant was dealing with significant staffing shortages at the time. While that doesn't completely change the experience we had, I appreciate that the owner acknowledged the challenges and responded professionally rather than dismissing the feedback. One observation I would offer is that, as a customer, it was difficult to tell who was serving tables. I noticed several employees in Pint & Cork shirts moving around the restaurant, but only saw a couple of servers actively covering the dining area. It's possible some staff were assigned to bartending or other responsibilities, but from the guest perspective it gave the impression that table service was understaffed while other employees appeared unavailable. I still think there is room for improvement in the flow and logistics on the floor, but I appreciate the owner's willingness to engage with feedback and explain the circumstances. That being said, I would be willing to give the restaurant another chance. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- UPDATED REVIEW AFTER OWNER'S RESPONSE: 6.21.26 I appreciate the response. It's telling that you addressed the air conditioning, disputed the gender of an employee, and questioned whether I was even there, yet didn't meaningfully respond to the concerns about service, timing, attentiveness, or food quality. If a customer leaves with a poor experience, the question isn't whether they perfectly recalled every detail. The question is why they left with that impression in the first place. I suspect future readers can draw their own conclusions from both the review and the response. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Probably the most disappointing dining experience of our Hawaii trip. We specifically asked to sit indoors because we wanted a break from the Maui heat after spending the day outside. Unfortunately, we quickly realized there was no air conditioning, making the indoor seating barely any cooler than outside. The restaurant also felt severely understaffed. It took around 10 minutes just to get a Diet Coke, and every time I asked for assistance, the woman working at the register seemed to defer the request rather than help or find someone who could. Meanwhile, some employees appeared more interested in chatting than helping customers, while only one or two staff members seemed to be working the floor. I understand restaurants get busy, especially in a tourist area, but the issue wasn't just the wait--it was the feeling that customer service wasn't a priority. As for the food, it was nothing special. I ordered a steak that had a nice smoky flavor, but it arrived well done and overcooked. The rest of the meal was average at best and definitely not memorable enough to make up for the service issues. Between the lack of air conditioning, slow service, inattentive staff, and mediocre food, this was one of the few places in Hawaii where I genuinely regretted spending my money. Considering the location at The Shops at Wailea and the prices being charged, I expected a much higher level of hospitality and execution. There are far too many great dining options in Wailea to come back here.
