It takes about 10-15 minutes and five employees for them take your order, pour tea and the gummy balls into a cup, then hand the cup off to another worker to place the cup on a mechanical shaker (the king-fu method), then to another worker who puts the cup's lid on, then to another worker to wipe your cup off and serve you. In the time that it takes them to make your drink, you could walk over to the Starbucks and order a tea and have 10 minutes to watch the people stand in line at Kung-Fu Tea. read more

I've been a regular since the grand opening. But when I was sitting at the table enjoying with my tea, the whole place all of a sudden smelled like tobacco. The door was closed tightly, nobody was even smoking outside, everybody started looking around all confused. I went and asked the staff if anyone is smoking in the kitchen and one of them nodded and said she'd go tell the manager. Disappointed. What is the point of serving good drinks and have one staff smiled at you while some other staff smoking in the back ruining the whole atmosphere of the store. This is the best tapioca/boba/pearl milk tea option in Denver. This is the 2nd Kung Fu Tea location I have been to. I would say, based on the 2 I've now been to, they are pretty consistent. I like that this one, unlike the other one I went to, sells some food (I think I saw crepe cake). There are games inside, regular table seating and also tall-table seating. I like that they played Asian music (like Jay Chou). I tried the strawberry lemon green tea and thought it was great. Their menu offers tons of drink options that include tea-based drinks or yogurt-based ones. There is plenty of parking. I tried their taro milk tea and enjoyed the chalky consistency it had (consistent with real taro vs. just the powder). Also, they have MINI BOBA! I don't care for regular boba because it requires too much chewing, but mini boba gives you the fun chewing aspect of pearl drinks without adding TOO much of a labor-requirement. read more

Awesome tea shop near DTC area. I lived in Asia for quite awhile so am always on the hunt for great milk tea that reminds me of Beijing. Stepping into Kung Fu Tea I was immediately transported back to China. I was pleasantly surprised with the plethora of options and was almost too overwhelmed to choose. I ended up deciding on the strawberry milk slushee boba. The servers were quick and pleasant and the tea came out super quick given how busy the place was. Where the heck has this place been hiding??? About a 12 minute drive from my place and 8 minutes from the DTC Marriott where I picked up a gf who was in town for a few days. We searched tea shops nearby and thought we should give this spot a try - closeby and nestled in the myriad of shops at Hampden and 225. It was busy at 7 pm at night. But the atmosphere and ppl were warm and inviting; and parking wasn't a problem. Was a bit overwhelmed by all they offer; but in a good way. Impressive options and there are light bites, but we didn't partake. I'm a sugar free kind of gal; so when I asked for sugar free drinks they offered the ones with "syrup" or straight black or green tea. When I asked if the syrup was sugar free; they said yes. So I ordered the water melon green tea and to my surprise it was incredibly sweet - from the syrup - too sweet. I took it back to the counter and after asking them what the syrup was made of; it did have sugar in it - so no, it's not sugar free. But the team apologized and were happy to make me a plane green tea at no extra charge. It was awesome as I love green teas. My gf and I sat and visited for about 1.5 hours at a high top table. Lots of people in and out during that time. LOTS! Looks like I'm late to the party; but now that I've found Kung Fu Tea, will definitely be back to my tea home. read more

Best boba in Colorado I've had so far! I have been looking for a good boba place and we happened to find this one. I really like how they give you so many choices such as sweetness of drink, amount of ice, and different toppings. I had the passion fruit green tea with boba and it was delicious! The prices are very reasonable as well, around 4.00 for a medium size drink with boba. The drinks come out super fast, the staff was really nice, and the place was really clean. Another thing I really liked was that they have an app you can download to gain free drinks! I wish they had more fruit flavor options for the drinks but other than that it was delicious! I wish they had one in the Springs! Definitely will be back whenever we are in Denver. read more

What a fun place! Too many choices is the only complaint I have. Must get the ap in order to get deals. You get $4 credit just by signing up. They have several options and combinations are limitless! They will let you try different add in- just ask! You can't go wrong with the milk tea, my kids love the strawberry lemonade with boba and nata jelly (friend said yogurt version is awesome). I like the winter melon and the lougan tea with boba and aloe. I have yet to try the milk cap. Don't get ice. It is cold without any and it doesn't dilute the drink! The first time I went, I ordered a Honey Milk Tea and an Orange Yogurt (everything regular sweet). Honey Milk Tea is good, I like the honey taste but it gets reallyyyy sweet and I could not finish the whole cup. The Orange Yogurt has pulp (which is nice for me) but I cannot taste the yogurt, it taste like any regular orange juice (and it's $1 more expensive than the milk teas). The second time I went, I asked for less sweet for Honey Milk Tea, but the honey is already sweetened and no extra sugar is added. So if I want it less sweet, they can put less honey to me drink... but I like the honey taste though :( so I ordered a small hopefully I can finish it. I also ordered a Kung Fu Milk Tea, it has more of a creamer taste than tea taste. Overall it is not bad. I'll give it a few more tries and maybe go out of my comfort zone and order something different next time. read more

When you order (flavor, type of boba, sweetness, ice), you get a little alert thing like you do when you're waiting for a restaurant. I'm a new recently addicted customer and have been two times in the last 5 days. Both times have been absolutely PERFECT! Flavors are spot on, portions are great for the prices, you get what you ask for (including LESS ice), and I've been lucky enough to not have to experience a wait. The addiction is pretty damn real so even if i did have to wait (which I have been expecting) it would still be very well worth it! Or the cult following and the allure this place has on people. Even tried a few different things off the menu in hopes that it might even sway my opinion. I don't usually drink boba and stuff like that but when I have a hankering to get my basic bitch on Starbucks usually does the trick. Attended their grand opening today, and even with a line out the door extending to the left of the building, the Kung Fu employees were generous enough to give samples of their Wintermelon Tea (fairly refreshing) and a business card with their menu on it while we were waiting. After having an hour of a wait fly by, we ordered the taro milk green tea with pudding, standard sweetness, and regular ice as well as longan jujube tea with a milk cap, standard sweetness, and regular ice. We preferred the taro one better than the longan just because we were not fans of the jujube fruit which had a weird, red bean like texture, but both were still great! I love how you can customize your cups here with a wider selection of add-ins, level of sweetness to your liking (they do it by percentage, for instance if you are not a sweets lover and want more of the tea flavor, choose 25%, but if you are all about that sugar high life, choose the 125% sweetness), and choosing the amount of ice (regular, light, or no ice) is nice too! For it being grand opening day, I believe the staff did a fantastic job in managing the large amount of customers that came in today! Although we had to wait about another 15 minutes for our drink after we ordered because the guest in front of us ordered about 20+ drinks, they were putting out those orders quickly! I absolutely love this boba place. I've been going here for at least two years and think it's the best boba out of Lollicup, Milk It.... any others I can think of. The boba is sort of warm and tastes like honey. Personally i think they always put the right amount in too, enough boba for you to feel not hungry anymore but not where you feel bloated! If you're used to Cali-style boba shops in vibe and quality boba shops I think this is the closest you're gonna get in the area.
