Since a new Filipino restaurant opened on the west side in Peoria, we were eager to try it. I make Filipino dishes, and my mom makes the BEST Filipino food, but this place offers a solid alternative when I don't feel like cooking Filipino food or when my mom's away for several months lol. We will definitely be coming here. We tried the lechon, sisig, and sinigang. Jediah loved the sinigang, he said it's not better than mine, hahah, and he gave it a perfect 10/10. The rice earned an 11/10, lol. The sisig wasn't our favorite; it was a bit fatty. The lechon was good, but my mom's lechon is super crispy. Still, if you're craving Filipino food in the West Valley, this place is worth a visit. It's really good. The service was good. He took our order and was friendly. He answered my questions about MSG and confirmed they didn't include it in their food. The ambiance was okay. My only complaint, which wasn't really their fault, was that it was very hot. Ambiance: We are 30 mins early for Father's Day brunch, and the hosts welcomed a few of us in from the heat despite the hapag (food) not being fully set. Get ready to come early, as the indoor seats fill up quickly. There are plenty more seats outside with an industrial fan blowing generously across the patio - an improvement from where the fan was positioned my last visit. The atmosphere is mostly friendly except for those aunties who count how many times other people get back in line for food while they choose to wait until everyone is fed. IYKYK, and if you don't: there will Always be a line because new people keep coming in to eat, so please just get in line with them and wait your turn. Service: One of the better Filipino establishments as the owners kindly greet all of us with a welcoming "Happy Father's Day!" As expected the turnover rate of food service was quick, and the food remained hot. Another reminder to pay attention to the workers placing more hot food and cold desserts as the trays become low in quantity. Some Filipinos are used to family style meals and will take helpings for their whole table, so you may want to be keen to beat them to the buffet line. Food: Thankfully the choices did not disappoint, considering the celebration day. It's also useful to check their Facebook page on Fridays to know what they plan to serve on Sunday. As you'd expect in your own home, some planned dishes may change for various understandable reasons but no one really notices because there's always a plan B prepared. Focusing on the food itself, it definitely reminds me of how my dad cooks: calorific. This may be due to meat availability, as it is difficult to find choice meat nowadays. As much as people, like my dad, believe that fat = flavor and sauce + rice is nice...I personally want to buffet on a Filipino balanced meal of meat, veggies, and soup. I did appreciate the lumpia, bicol express (not spicy), and beef steak tagalog improved in flavor and contained less fatty meat than last time. The dinuguan (not spicy) and pork adobo gave the same experience though - good but can improve. If the papaitan didn't have so much fatty bits that soup would've been the highlight of the meal as the slight bitterness balanced the cebuchon. The spaghetti, pansit, sapin-sapin, maha blanca, and ube ice cream were pretty good considering the idea of this restaurant is to be invited into one's kitchen and home cooking. Overall rating: 3.5 stars. I hope this business continues to grow: into a bigger place so the overall ergonomics becomes less hectic, and more funds for more ingredients. read more

It wasn't busy inside the restaurant when we arrived on Saturday a little after lunch time, there were only another 3 tables of patrons at that time but as we waited, more customers started arriving. Maybe they haven't gotten service down but we had ended up grabbing our own seat, then later we had to grab our own menus as the only waitress was busy. Took a good 20 mins just to get our drink and food order placed and then another 25 mins to finally get our food. Thats 45 mins of just waiting, It was a good thing we were not in a hurry. We ordered a little bit of everything to try. The food was good, the staff was busy but friendly but if you are expecting great service, you're going to be disappointed. On the particular Sunday that I went, they were offering a buffet, so I thought it was a good time to try out this new Filipino restaurant in the West Valley. Being to try several dishes in one sitting enabled me to make a better evaluation of their cuisine as a whole. Everything was excellent - binagoongan, kaldereta, tokwa't baboy, etc. They even had pancit habhab, a noodle dish unique to my Mom's home province, so I presume the restaurateurs are from that region. I am very pleased with the quality of the food as well as the very friendly service. This is quite a drive for me, coming from the north Phoenix area, but I will definitely come back again and again - they are that good. read more

Service is non existent. We got our starter after an hour of wait and they did not give us any plates silverware's and napkins. I end up getting up and getting it myself. Then we end up waiting 30 more minutes to get one of our entree. And the rest of the food came after 15 minutes. I end up getting up and ask for bowls and ladle for the bulalo soup. One of the, if not the slowest service I have ever experienced at any restaurant! It was very clear they did not know how to efficiently run a restaurant. It took an HOUR AND A HALF for just 2/4 dishes we ordered to come out. After that we cut the order short and left, as we saw many other people do the same thing because it was taking too long. The servers did not know what food they had in stock, some plates were dirty, and we had to ask them multiple times for every single little thing. Their buffet food is good ; they have more different Filipino dishes served each weekend. I'd rather go eat there on weekends because they have ore staff to help you with your order. We're Filipino visiting from California for spring training, and we were really craving some Filipino comfort food. We're so glad we found this place! The service was amazing everyone was so friendly, welcoming, and inviting. You can really feel the warmth as soon as you walk in owner and his wife greeted me. Even sparked conversation while waiting for my order. The cooks were awesome and made us feel right at home. The food tasted just like home! Excited to try a new Filipino place. Not a huge menu but enough of options to try from. The food itself was a little under seasoned but with the vinegar and pepper it was decent and I would have tried it again. However, what threw me off was the cold to the touch rice. Not fridge cold but maybe it was sitting out for a while and not in a rice cooker or a warmer plate. You need to eat before going there! Waited for 1 hour exactly to get food #1 out of 4 ordered. We asked 3-4 times to get beverages, plates, utensils etc. You don't get your food all at once! Food comes out 15-20 mins in between. THIS PLACE IS A HOT MESS!! We so want them to be successful but regardless if the food tastes good or not, service is unacceptable! Our first time here and curious because not too much Filipino restaurant here in peoria. We ordered pork bbq sticks (3), Pancit palabok, pork Sisig with steamed rice. The sticks were big chunks of pork with good flavor but not the sweet kind. The Pancit palabok was good tasting amount in a big platter, and the sisig was different for me. It had a raw egg on top of it. I was not used to the flavor of this particular sisig. I flavored it with a little vinegar. It was good to know there is this cuisine nearby. It newly opened so their menu was a bit limited. They accept only cash or Zelle at this time. I'm hoping they will have "silogs" in the future. The inside has a small eat-in area of about 6 tables of 4 but the outside is more accommodating with more tables. Location across the theaters was great. I will come again. read more

First time we ate here, we already noticed the unorganized setup, but we thought maybe they just recently opened so we ignored it. The crispy pata was also so good the first time, so soft and chewy. However, when we came back after almost two months, the service is still so bad. No system in place. We don't know if we will take a seat or not, and how to order, will we go to the counter or will someone approach us. The cleaning of our table and taking all the dirty dishes took a lot of time, we even had to do it ourselves just so that our table will be clear. Drinks were not served on time. The crispy pata was also very disappointing this time, and the kare kare with very big chunks of hard lechon kawali was lacking with peanut sauce. First time we came here they happened to be closed due to renovations that day. We did call however no answer & checked their fb page with no updates. We finally came back today. Their pancit was very mushy almost wet & the sizzling sisig was very spicy with no egg on top. The bulalo soup they served for free was bland & the BBQ sticks were very salty. We did enjoy the beef steak and the lumpia shanghai was okay. Prepare to come in and pay cash or via zelle as they do not accept any other form of payments (they said not set up yet). They explained it to me that for their regular menu it depends if they can cook it for Sunday buffet because they are continuously cooking the food for the buffet so it is fresh as soon as it comes out. Love the food here tasty and fresh made. We stoped after our bike ride to try their food. Had shanghai roll, crispy kare-kare and pancit palabok. Everything was good and delicious. All the desserts were sold out but next time. Maybe when settled they'll add halo-halo, definitely will watch for it specially summer time. We tried to have another meal last Saturday but the place was reserved for party events after 4 pm so we're not able to go. Looking forward to try other dishes this week. I have been in the industry for over 40 years. I don't do Filipino cooking however I've left that to my closest friends who cook Filipino food! I am very scared that this place will get someone sick because the entire buffet that they had on Sunday was out of temperature they had chafing dishes that that had no heating elements underneath. Just heating lamps on top which is a health code violation. There are many other health code violations that I noticed as well. I pray to God that someone does not get sick because you had chicken pork beef, everything and soup and seafood shrimp soup that was cold. I took a bite and I spat it all out. I got up, asked for my money back. Let them know that the food was out of temperature and all of it was cold and that somebody will get sick eating chicken and pork like that sitting out there just growing botulism. And for $18, I think you guys can afford to allow people to eat off of real plates instead of paper plates. This is a serious industry and you guys have taken this industry down 20 notches. I don't know anybody in the restaurant world not even other buffets that would serve a paper plate after spending $20 or any kind of money because someone's lazy and they don't want to put sterno's underneath food to keep it into temperature and they don't want to wash dishes!
