Small restaurant, friendly staff and great food! I got the Twist hot chicken sandwich (Hot) unless you can handle the heat this one is spicy be aware lol. The chicken was on the thinner side compared to what is advertised but it was still good either way. The crinkle fries chefs kiss. I loved the mini Gouda Mac n cheese bites, they were seasoned perfectly. I would come back again.
The place was steady busy on a Sat night. Cashier was super peppy and happy to take our order, explain sauce options and menu items. The order took a bit to come out, but it is chicken and that takes a bit to cook properly. Understandable. We got the tender plates 1 loaded and both spicy. It was yummy. Sauces are rich, so the loaded was heavy. But the hot was a good habanero level hot dry rub style. Fries were crinkle cut with bbq spice rub tossed in it. Good all around. Severs were the highlight
Best chicken sandwiches ever, even before I was vegan (don't worry they're mostly carnivorous). I knocked a star off because I feel like I'm being nicklel'd & dime'd with the combo. I used to walk in order a vegan sandwich, upgrade it to a comb (fries and 2 strips), and I'd buy a premium drink. Now the combo comes with fries & a soda, and to get 2 strips it'll cost almost what the sandwich cost. Oh well, leaves a bad taste in my mouth, used to spend $22 for lunch, now I'll just spend $16 (including tip) for just a sandwich. They left money on the table, disappointed a customer; because they had to remove from the menu something that people loved. If it costs more, charge more... I'll gladly pay; but I'm not going to feel ripped-off having to pay a premium building what should be there.
Twist has me wishing we lived in Peoria!! My husband and I were in the area after a hike. We weren't looking to stop for lunch, but Twist had been in my bookmarks for a long time now, so we stopped in! The menu is very clearly laid out, and they have a great selection of chicken and vegan chicken options! I ordered the tenders box, which reminded me of a Canes box combo. The tenders were juicy and cooked to perfection. I went with medium heat, which was a good amount for me. I appreciated that they had the type of pepper listed, so I knew about how spicy each level was. My husband got the mild, and it was not nearly spicy enough for me. I also appreciate that they have a no spice option! For the sauces, we tried the twist sauce, ranch, and creamy Nashville. We enjoyed them all! We shared the prickly pear lemonade, and WOW was it good. I ended up getting a refill (99 cents, per the menu) because I enjoyed it so much. We went around 11:30 on a Saturday, and there weren't many people dining in, so it was fairly quiet. We observed a lot of to-go orders being picked up! They make everything to order while you wait, so you do wait for a bit, but trust me, it's so worth it!
Sean had amazing service. Food was delicious and warm. They forgot an item in my order and I teased Sean about giving him a 1 star lol. But he handled it great and made up for it with the great service he provided while taking my order. Great service will Make your customers forgive or overlook inconveniences. It's when you get bad service from the beginning that you feel your money didn't get its value. Thank you Sean for the great service. The ambiance in there is great. Music is comfortable to the ear and it's clean in there. Just moved to the area. Sean didn't like my Green Bay Packers gear but it's ok. He's still cool.

Tables not well cleaned, chairs have worn out/torn padding. Music was so loud I could see the sound waves rippling the surface of my beverage!!!! I left with a headache. Two chicken pieces were large - as I said - and very hot. Problem was they each dripped over a tablespoon full of hot grease onto the little metal tray they were served on. The fries were OK but nothing great. Catsup in the little packages. Was the meal of two pieces of chicken and some fries worth $13...NO! Would I recommend or go back...NO!
Dined on 3/26/26: 15 people for dinner. We stopped in after winning our high school tennis match. Between 15 people, we ordered Twist Original Chicken Sandwiches, Twist Hot Chicken Sandwiches, Twist Hot Tenders Box, 5 Nugget Meal and a Southwestern Salad. The chicken breast in the sandwiches are tender and moist! The tenders are HUGE and juicy! The French fries are seasoned and tasty! Definitely one of our FAV places to eat after a match! Highly recommend and we will be back!
Review #1000!!!! I am so happy it is Twist Hot Chicken! The are running specials on Facebook and I had to try this. Their Vegan fare is as delicious as their chicken. The sauces we tried were superb. Crispy, saucy, colorful slaw and the fries are seasoned so yummy! Their Seasonal lemonade is Witch's Brew which was tangy and refreshing. Refills are $.99. The best part of the meal was the Beignets or Cronuts. Hot, pull apart goodness, with powdered sugar and strawberry jam. They will give you honey if you ask! We had the best meal there! Came here to get my Vegan Chicken fix! They offer Vegan & Non-Vegan Options, sides, Stubborn Brand Sodas (which are delicious), and canned beer! Sean took care of us tonight and he was so amazing! He made suggestions, went over flavor profiles, and let us try the kale salad! This place is amazing, the vibe is always chill, but fun with an eclectic selection of music that we were all vibin' out to!

I've gotten their loaded Nashville chicken fries two times now both times they were really good. I also got an extra tender and hot and that was also very good. Gal working gave good service and was nice. This is a lot better than Dave's hot chicken or any other hot chicken place I'm aware of in the valley
Very good chicken here! My only complaint is we waited 20 minutes after ordering our food, and no one else was in the restaurant. BUT maybe it took longer because of how fresh and made to order the food was. Great quality and the side sauces were delicious! Beware of the spice levels though, the hot level is pretty hot. Not like other hot chicken places.
This has been my bandaid after work on the way home. I can't think of a better way to finish a long Tuesday at work but with some bomb food. Their fries are probably my favorite right now, but of course their sandwiches are phenomenal. The flavors never lacking and never the spice either read more

I cannot say enough about the vegan mock chicken option'. It is so good and it does a great job replicating a chicken breast! On my first visit, the clerk recommended going with medium if you like spicy. I am very much a fan of capsicum drop kicking me in the mouth and awakening my nasal passage. I went with the "Hot" and it was just right for me. Anything spicier would be uncomfortable. I had the Vegan Hot Chicken with the slaw on the side. I have written off the chicken sandwich a long time ago and this representation has me thinking about when I'll have this sandwich again! The lobby was very clean and spacious. I have been to this chicken spot a few times when I'm in the area for work it's about time that I give them a good review. I've gotten their loaded Nashville chicken fries two times now both times they were really good. I also got an extra tender and hot and that was also very good. Food was amazing. Everything was very flavorful. Had the Twist Hot Chicken, comes with fries. Also ordered a drink and cheese curds. Chicken was moist and crispy on the outside. Fries are maybe the best I've had to date. Cheese curds were amazing. Place is very clean. Service was on point. Literally my favorite restaurant in Peoria, the vegan menu here is soooo good. My second time coming, I had the vegan hot honey which was incredible, and the sandwiches come with fries now which are also top notch. The service here is amazing, the lady taking our order was so friendly and gave my little sister her lemonade for free. I also asked on Yelp whether the vegan hot honey sauce had real honey, and got a response within minutes that it does not- they use agave. My younger siblings enjoyed the kids meal. Hot chicken is all the rage right now with many restaurants popping up everywhere. What makes Twist unique is that they offer a Vegan Hot Chicken sandwich as well as Vegan Macaroni Salad. Please insert the meme here from Futurama where Bender exclaims, " Take my money" It was awesome and amazing. I had the hot level and probably could have tried the next level up, Maybe next time. HEAR ME OUT: looking for an experience that you'll be sure to remember? This place can provide you that. The thin napkins, you'll need lots. The tiny water cups, you'll be refilling those a number of times. The bumping music, you'll be dancing as you eat. And the chicken, the chicken might just have you sweating, crying, and gasping for air. All that to say, i yummy. But we wish we had felt more aware of how HOT the medium chicken was going to be. Maybe I'm the anomaly but I thought the food was horrible. Like, ate mayb half and had to toss it out BAD. Ordered the basic twist sandwich with only letttuce and fries. The chicken had no taste, was dry and had a smell. The fries were not any better. While I can see they are seasoned, you literally can't taste it. Also, how are fries both hard and soft at the same time? They had no crisp (soft part) and the insides were like all dried up (the hard part). I only ate a few, that's how gross they were. I don't understand, there was literally no one there when I went in so they weren't busy with other orders. The guy at the counter seemed friendly enough but they did also took like 15 min for my order. Even my experience is rare, I do not want to go back and try this place again. read more

Hmm, I'm kind of disappointed. I wanted to like Twist Hot Chicken so much more, but it just wasn't great to me. The chicken sandwich felt very lacking in flavor and didn't taste great compared to other places. I didn't like that the sandwich only comes with fries and no option to turn my sandwich and fries into a meal with a drink. I also got mac and cheese separately. It was okay, but I wanted more flavor from that too. I really like the drinks here! VERY interesting and many kinds of lemonade and other drink options. They also have Stubborn soda, which is awesome. The service was outstanding! I thought the employees were very friendly and helpful. The vibes here are nice and I felt cozy and comfy. Overall, I just wish I liked it more, but it fell pretty flat for me. I might try again in the future but not right now. read more

Food was good pretty much all the same . They have Vegan options that my wife likes and that's the only reason I go back . Service was BS and the girl that runs the front is beyond CONDESCENDING AND RUDE . She acts like they have the best chicken and it's just mediocre . I would say she need some more manger skills or just even step down . And they need to address the service time when getting text and saying the food is ready and then it's not and then person in the front gets all chippy . read more
