I used to walk in order a vegan sandwich, upgrade it to a comb (fries and 2 strips), and I'd buy a premium drink. Now the combo comes with fries & a soda, and to get 2 strips it'll cost almost what the sandwich cost. So with more hot chicken places coming around I wanted to compare Twist. Went in and the staff is very friendly. Ordered the 2 tender meal. When my order came over they gave me 3 small tenders, saying they were out of the large tenders. This is unacceptable. It's one thing if you told me beforehand or had a sign stating that you guys were out of tenders but to be like hey we're actually out of those tenders so here are three small ones to compensate. It's not the same the temperature, texture and taste is significantly inferior to the large tenders which is the only reason I drove 40 minutes to try. The fries were perfectly seasoned and I love that they weren't soggy even after the time it took to be delivered. Because this was the first time we've eaten here, I ordered the mild tenders and let me tell you, the rub they use was so delicious! My husband cooks for a living and he can be pretty picky when it comes to chicken, but he loved it just as much as I did. I also think it's pretty awesome they offer vegan options. It's gives us a new place to take our vegan relatives when they visit. The only thing that would have made it better would be if they offered other soda options than Stubborn Soda. The chicken sandwich felt very lacking in flavor and didn't taste great compared to other places.
