Great job to this restaurant on a busy Mother's Day! You know this place is good. And a lot of people have the same idea when you get there at opening time and there is a line wrapped around outside. Once they were open. They were very quick about getting tables seated, and food started. Our server Taylor was awesome and explained everything since it was my moms first time having Korean barbecue. I was so excited when my girls wanted to have Korean barbecue for Mother's Day. And to try a new spot. Well. Let me say this place did not disappoint. Let's talk about the food. All the meats were so fresh! We like the beef brisket, the Bullgogi, and the spicy pork belly! So good that we did. Two rounds. For appetizers, we tried the tofu soup, and the spicy Ramen both are must have if you can handle the spice We also had chicken wings, Korean fried chicken, vegetable tempura, fried rice, glass noodles and gyoza. Fully honesty. I was very disappointed. I'm not mad, just disappointed. I've been to many Korean BBQ places and this has to be the most okay place, I won't be coming back either. I waited for about an hour for my table, got to the table and it was clean and the server was cool. We ordered our food and it wasn't like a tradition Korean BBQ where you get unlimited sides we got 2 and some white rice. They also gave us soy sauce and salt, no joke, that's it. I'm used to BBQ places where you get kimchi, green onions, fish cakes, maybe some bean sprouts with one other dishes. It was just missing a ton of sides. On top all that there is no sauce bar. Typically Korea BBQ has a huge selection of sauces you can make or they give you 3 or so to try since the meat might come unseasoned and semi frozen. Tonight the food was great as usual, but the service we received was incredibly disappointing. ​Our server, Jinsoo, made us feel completely invisible. Despite the busy, energetic environment around us, he failed to check on our table even once, forcing us to wave him down or yell across the room for basic requests. To make matters worse, he repeatedly cut us short during ordering, forgot multiple items, and never offered refills--actively avoiding eye contact the whole night. Looking for a Korean BBQ place after some Westgate activities, this was a great option. The wait was pretty long as they were clearly understaffed and very busy. However the staff were very friendly and apologetic about it. Being a holiday weekend, it was more than understandable. Once seated the server was very attentive, welcoming, and although very busy, brought everything very quickly. The place is very clean, well organized and ventilated. The bbq options were great! It was a little confusing at first because of the lack of explanation we received from our waitress, however we caught on pretty easily. Appetizers, meat choices and sides were all delicious! This was my first experience at Manna! I had a friend recommend this place and so I went with a friend and my 2 kids. The waiter explained how it worked we ordered our drinks and meat. When such lovely company invites you to lunch, it's hard to resist! To make it even better, one of them generously offered to treat me. How could I say no to that? The Manna BBQ at Westgate impressed me just as much as the one in Mesa. The food was delicious, and our server, who was also from Mexico, provided exceptional service! While this location didn't have Kimchi or rice in water, my lunch date was adventurous and tried Korean BBQ for the first time, which was a great experience for her. Although I had a fantastic time at the Westgate location, I think I will continue to frequent the Mesa location because of my favorite servers, Bri and Christine, and the shorter drive. A friend and I ate here for the first time on Friday night. I do enjoy a good Korean BBQ but have only been to a few different establishments. This was by far my favorite. The prices, selections, staff, and restaurant itself were excellent. We both got the "All you can eat" for $30. I started with the Menna "Signature" steak, spicy pork belly and beef tongue. All were delicious. My friend ordered mostly garlic shrimp with beef, pork, and chicken bulgogi. Lady loved all three of her bulgogi proteins its safe to say. She said her shrimp was great as well. She also had a bowl of Soon Dubu she enjoyed. Pork dumpling appetizers were cooked perfectly. On my second order I tried garlic pork belly, teriyaki chadol, and more beef tongue. The beef tongue was my favorite. Thinly sliced and oh so tender! My third and final order consisted of MORE beef tongue, beef bulgogi, and pork bulgogi. I can't think of one thing we didn't love. Oh, their kimchi was second to none. There were some veggies in there too, we're not ALL heathen. FRESH mushrooms, onions, garlic, and zucchini accompanied our meal. Last but not least was our server Sunny (Sonny?). She was very patient and friendly. She did a great job at recommending new items (to us). My iced tea was never empty and she was very attentive. Lucia the "manager" that was working Friday night at this location feels as though using sanitizing "water" makes every grill after EVERY use is enough to clean the grills, she proceeded to gaslight me and my husband by saying they have to be soaked for 2 hours at the end of the night to be properly cleaned and only a sanitizing water solution is sprayed and wiped down between customers, that sanitizings water is literally burning in this picture? This is embarrassing because we came here- literally- because we've been watching K-dramas and they've made us want to try all the dishes we see. Se we sought out this place on Yelp and decided to try it. I will tell you that Korean restaurants are not plentiful in Phoenix- especially the west side-, so it was here or the East Valley. The food was good, but not stellar. It was serviceable Korean BBQ. The meats were fresh and the side dishes were ok. This is an all-you-can-eat place so you pay a flat price and order what you want. The Glabi/kalbi (Korean short ribs) are the best thing on the menu. The pork belly was disappointing and was just thick bacon. The brisket was ok if a bit tasteless and bland. But it was fresh. I loved the fried rice which was excellent, and several of the side dishes. A particular standout was the fried gyoza (actually Japanese), which was pork and was fresh, crisp, hot, and tasty. The side-dish mashed potatoes and pickled cucumber were excellent. You cook your own meat at your table so that was fun. You cut pieces off the meat chunks with provided scissors. The server kept the meats coming so that was good. Why not 5 stars? Well, the meats are bland and all they give you is some sweet soy sauce to put on the meat as you cook it. I could have used some chili oil, garlic, chili flakes, white pepper, or other condiments. The selection of dishes is somewhat limited and many Korean dishes are not offered. Also the japchae was pretty bad. Over-salty and fishy and tasted old. The service was ok. She didn't know much and didn't speak much English. So she couldn't answer our many questions. She was also not super knowledgeable about a lot of Korean dishes. Overall I'd say this is a fun place to come with friends or a date. It's a fun experience to cook at your table. It's a little pricey (about $30 each in 2025) so if you're a light eater you don't get your money's worth. Also you can't take anything home which kind of sucks but I understand why. Novelty 100% Sweet soy is provided for dipping and grilling, a selection of kimchee, cucumbers, potato salad and other delights are part of the meal. Rice? Of course! Fried and sticky versions. For a kbbq, price was decent and ambiance was good. However, the service can work on being better. I'm not sure if our server was unsure and confused if we've ever been to a kbbq before or maybe he was new and still learning; but I had to ask for a grill change twice. He looked at me confused because I asked for a grill change (look like what are you talking about) ... I think the manager walked by at the same time and told him about the charred grill too, and she ended up changing our grill because our server didn't do it. We have been to Manna BBQ for years between San Diego locations and here in Greater Phoenix. We have never experienced this before where we got turned away the way we were like tonight. Walked in with family at 840pm. The girl at the front tells us that their kitchen closes and stops serving at 9pm when they close at 10pm. Drove all the way there for nothing... This was especially frustrating, to be refused service, when there were so many other guests, who were already seated still getting seved and another party of 3 waiting to be seated in the front. read more

The service and ambiance was good, however im here to save everyone from trouble. I've heard this location has a reputation of people getting sick from their food and how they store it as well. Myself and a couple other friends came to dine in on Friday and we ate a lot of pork belly and bulgogi. But later that night we all started feeling sick, didn't think much of it. Now fast forward couple days later, we are still sick. We know that we got food poisoning and have the majority of symptoms. I'm a food service person myself, so I don't know how they are properly temping their food, storing it, and what the expiration date is. They say it's "fresh" but not when my friends and I are sick.
