    Garlic Shrimp

We got a chicken short rib combo and a garlic shrimp plate, both are huge. There were two scoops of rice and a scoop of mac salad. The mac salad was fresh and tasted good. I liked their chicken and short rib plate, there was chicken katsu, bbq chicken, and beef short rib for $17, which is very good price. The chicken katsu was crispy and not dry on the inside. The short ribs was grilled perfectly and not burnt. However, I'm not a big fan of their garlic shrimp, it wasn't garlicky enough for me, and kind of lack of what garlic shrimp should have-flavor. The amount of shrimp was generous though. Overall, good price and will try other plate next time.

We were in the area shopping and were looking for something new and came across this place and saw the good reviews and decided to try it out , and I'm so glad we did. I ended up getting the chicken combo with Katsu Chicken and BBQ Chicken which were both really good it also came with some broccoli 2 scoops of rice and a scoop of Mac Salad. We also got a mini meal which was much bigger than we expected just with one scoop of rice and 1 scoop of Mac salad and plenty of chicken. The service was quick and the food great it is located in a shopping center with plenty of shopping all around.

I would truly give this a 4.5 some stuff was great and other stuff was good. The stuff that was best was the katsu (truly very good), the BBQ beef (excellent), the rice was perfect and the Manapua was pretty darn authentic. The service was excellent. We called about15 min before hand and they had all of it made and ready to go for us. The restaurant was busy but no wait when we got in there. Any time a Hawaiian place is busy it is a good sign. We are lucky this place is so far from our house because we would go here more often we did. In all we bought a family meal ($46) which was plenty of food, plus a side of rice, and two orders of Monapua and spent $68. Think that's the best price in town for the value of Hawaiian food! So ono!

Forgot its on a bed of steamed veggies too.

Very good food and generous portions. Nothing under heat lamps either so its made when ordered. They have extra sauces on the counter. Teriaki sauce is very tasty. Same service 2 years later.

Easily the best Hawaiian BBQ place in the area with generous portions, consistent quality, and just really yummy food. Our favorite is the chicken katsu. I've had the chicken katsu with curry before as well and it was comforting. We've also had their bbq chicken and beef. Honestly, you can't go wrong with what you choose here. Service is alright, no complaints, ambiance is casual, parking can be a bit hectic on the weekends cause it's located in a busy plaza. I am and always will be a huge fan of Leo's. Even though we don't live close by anymore, we're still willing to make the trip out!

Interesting place. My hubby and I were looking for Island BBQ. Specifically the plate combo that has an entree, rice, steamed veggies and there's yummy infamous Mac salad. We get there and the decor mostly points to southeast Asian and they also had some pics of some of the Hawaiian islands. Okay then. I ordered the chicken BBQ plate, hubby ordered the beef BbQ plate. We were not disappointed at all. In fact, the island flavors were spot on. Our meals definitely had a more authentic flair. We also ordered spam musubi (yummy) 2 musubi come with the order. Also we ordered Manupua (steam BBQ pork bun). The dough was cooked to a pillow soft perfection. We will be back. Broke da mouth!

Customer service is always great. You're always greeted when you walk in. Their food is cooked to order and it is delicious. The teriyaki meet was very good meat tender and the marinade was very good. The macaroni and rice remind me of the islands. Stop by say hi and something to eat. There are plenty of options. The seating area is clean along with tables and 1/2 booths. Moco Loco was very good and my friend would have ordered again.

I was craving Hawaiian barbecue and was in the west side so decided to hit up Leo's island bbq because when I lived on this is if town is always hit!! I got the chicken and rib combo plate to share with my gf because the portions are huge!! It comes with bbq chicken, chicken katsu and short ribs. Also come with two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. And that's not all ... some steamed veggies as well all of that for 15.49! That's a deal in my opinion. We got that and an extra side of macaroni salad because I remember it was really good. They also have several Hawaiian drinks to choose from in a can, which are all delicious! The macaroni salad was not a sweet as I remember but it was still very good. The bbq and the chicken katsu was our fav. The short ribs were flavorful, but very fatty this time. We also got a mini bowl of the chicken katsu to go for her son and he liked it and was stuffed the mini is also loaded with food!! They have. Katsu sauce and teriyaki sauce for you to take b The teriyaki sauce was delicious the Katsu sauce we did not care for. I have had lots of cutter sauce and this one just had a funny taste to it. Not my favorite. Someone next to us said to order a side of curry next time so I will for sure do That. The service is straight and to the point . Place is small but clean. The food does take some time to get but it's because it's made to order which I love! This place is for sure a must try when in the area even if you're not it's worth the drive!

I had the teriyaki chicken and my sweetheart had the chicken katsu. Both were OFF THE CHART good and there was enough food for both of us for two meals. The staff were very friendly and polite. My only negative is that I do not live in this area. If I did, I would eat here at least once a week.

We got a bunch of items to go. While I don't usually like to rate food to go because things change over time, Hawaiian BBQ is almost always to go. Had the chicken combo - BBQ chicken and chicken katsu. Solid katsu but BBQ chicken was a little dry. Overall, a reasonable option in the area.

No frills Hawaiian BBQ plate lunch place for takeout. Had to call my order in as I didn't find an online ordering site. Good flavors, great mac salad, big portions, and not too salty (unlike the Hawaiian place down the street). Would go back!

Their house blend is the best sauce I've ever had, that alone is what keeps us coming back, I believe it is a Viet style Cajun sauce. We usually get the build your own combo, with crawfish, snow crab, and a few appetizers like french fries, garlic noodles, and onion rings. I believe they have changed management recently, or in the past few years. Although the sauce remains delicious, the food quality seems to be falling, and I see that they have a few food safety violations listed on their Yelp. The garlic noodles were swimming in the watery sauce, and the Cajun fries were not tossed, just sprinkled on top. The restaurant has never been that busy when we go, and there is usually is only one server doing all the hosting, food running, and waitressing. Ours seemed to be a little stressed today, and did not refill our drinks as much as we would've preferred, and forgot things like our salt and pepper. We will probably still keep coming just for that sauce, but looks like the restaurant has a few things to work out to bring back its former glory.

I picked the garlic and lemon pepper. well unfortunately they use the garlic that is already crushed and cut and not fresh garlic in their food and they overcooked the crab and if you do get the lobster tail, they give you 1 whole lobster tail cut in half for two people and they give you lots of shrimp, I mean a lot of shrimp compared to anything else in that seafood broil bag had they overcooked all the sea food and they used a lot of that crushed already diced garlic. That did not make the food Taste good at all. They put way too much garlic in it, and the food was impossible to eat because it was overcooked and it was rubbery. I was very disappointed on how much money I spent . if I knew in advance that they had a family emergency and was closing 1 hour early I would've waited and come back the next day and maybe the food would've have tasted a lot better. It was the lobster seafood boil for two couples, and I bought two sets for four couples. Just beware that if they're in a hurry, try not to be in a hurry to eat here. You probably get a better experience than what my family did. I've been to crab shacks before that has seafood boil and they were way better and not so stingy for the price they charge you. when I was there, there was only one family sitting at a table. The rest of the restaurant was empty. The waitress she was very friendly and very nice and very accommodating.

The waitress was attentive the whole time, bathrooms were clean, and I really appreciated how mindful the staff was with my deaf friend. That always stands out to me. The calamari was okay. I liked it, but my friend said she's definitely had better. I also had to ask for lemon with the calamari. Last time I came with a friend they were completely out of lemons, so I was glad that wasn't an issue this time. I'd probably try something different instead of the calamari next visit though. We got the Pier 88 combo crab boil with the "All of the Above" seasoning in mild. It came out super quick and was very well seasoned. I personally thought it leaned a little salty, but I also saw other tables adding extra salt to their food, so I guess it just depends on your taste. Portions were good and everything tasted delicious. Very kid-friendly spot, pretty loud and lively inside, and honestly a great place for hosting bigger groups, family get-togethers, or even just catching up with a friend over drinks and seafood. I've been here before and would definitely come back again.

Normally their lunch sandwich special comes with fries but you can sub it out for the 3 main sides of the day. Options were corn, mashed potatoes, or broccolini. The sandwich had a white fish breaded and fried. The patty was decent without being thick or oily. Good amount of tartar sauce spread on it as well. If the sandwich was any bigger then work afterwards wouldn't have been fun. Oh, also got a delicious dirty martini to pair with the food. Gin served down and it was made to perfection! Including the drink and an $8 tip the total for lunch was $48. Which isn't horrible. Been craving oysters recently so probably will be back for dinner and get an appetizer and dessert too. But our server was great and he would have gotten the 20% at least... I don't know why I didn't take pictures except for mine. Probably because I was so freaking annoyed. Well for a start Fruit De Mer, $37.95 for shrimp, crab fingers and oysters. Shrimp was OK, they weren't pealed probably so I bit into small shells few times, crab fingers was super tiny with almost no meat to little meat, little fishy, not tasty, oysters.. two big and two tiny ones. Big ones I'm guessing Louisiana oysters, small one I have no idea. I kid you not small ones looked like ones you get at cheap Chinese buffet. For how much you got the price you pay was beyond me. I think maybe 15 bux might have been OK. Rest of the dishes were pretty good but when I saw my dish I was confused. I had to look at the menu to see if I made the right order. Looked at the picture I took 11 months ago and verified I orders the same dish. I know cost of things have gotten up and some times you have to decide keep the price same and give smaller portion or raise the price.. Well I would have preferred either or. Not the dish I got which looked and tasted like, keep the same peice, add more pasta, put less seafood. I was so annoyed I wanted to complain but I got the evil eyes from my wifey since it was a bday dinner celebration, so I kept my mout shut. I remember seafood gumbo being amazing but for some reason shrimp gumbo was also pure disappointment. Little salty and lacked the flavor that I remember eating. Definitely not worth the price for a cup. Filet mignon for $68.95 definitely was not worth the price tag also. Over all food was pretty good but not as good as last time I ate there. Service was still great which is nice. I cannot keep this place 4 starts anymore. And I used to recommend this place to everybody but not after today. That almost $38 appetizer was sad and over priced and they totally ruined my Pasta Mardi Gras. Maybe I am being too harsh but 8 people dinner with 3 appetizers, one main dishes per person, just water to drink for over $650, I just could not get over the fact that it was not worth the over all price.
