Took my doodle to get groomed here for the first time a couple of weeks ago and i dont think ill come back. The experience was okay and they did a good job BUT They have a policy of charging you an extra fee if your dog is matted or has a couple of knots. And even if they dont, I can guarantee they will ALWAYS "find" knots on your dog to upcharge you, especially if you have a doodle or a long haired dog. They have a stigma against these types of breeds and almost guarantee you will be paying extra. I know other grooming places who wont upcharge you unless the conditions of your dog's coat are horrific, which mine was NOT. Its almost inevitable to have a (very active) long haired pup and not have any knots, but overall this place wouldve been great if they removed that policy. The grooming is already expensive enough, and on top of that they add an extra $20-$60 for their dematting services. read more

Terrible first experience. Showed up a little before their posted opening time of 8am and waited 30 minutes for them to open. A guy finally shows up at 829am and smiles and doesn't offer an apology or anything, smug like this is common practice. Because of this I had to take a day off work. If they are this unprofessional, I can only imagine how irresponsible they are with our pets. You lost a customer and I won't give you a cent, nor recommendations. read more

I tried PetSpa after coming to this Plaza several times for other things. I'm so glad I did! I bring my rescue puppy for daycare every day now during work. She loves it and comes home so tired from all the activity LOL. They play and walk and run and even have snacks if they get hungry. The owner was a vet tech and there's more than one vet nearby in case something happens. I feel very comfortable leaving my baby in their hands. They are very responsive. read more

This place amazing! I use to live in Brickell area and had a great groomer for my dog in Wynwood. When I moved to Doral I continued taking him to the same place but it was too far. I drove by Pet Spa and went inside asked many questions and they were extremely friendly. I've been taking my dog there for 2 years now and I absolutely love them and the care they give my dog. I'm very over protective and I called many times the first few visits but once I was comfortable and knew they treated him with love and care I don't worry anymore. The price for me didn't really bother much because I paid the same in wynwood. I rather pay more and get great service and care for my dog that's like my child then pay less and have someone hurt him. I'll probably never leave Doral because of Pet Spa. read more

I've been taking my dogs here for more than 10 years. Last time I brought my dog he came back with his skin so red and irritated, he was badly traumatized and I had to take him to the dr. While he was getting bathed the groomer called my mom and told her he had a lot of knots and his skin got irritated while cutting them off so he was going to use a medicated shampoo. I wish I had known they did that because that is completely unacceptable. You should not give dogs any medicated shampoo if you're not a doctor. If skin is irritated the last thing you want to do is further irritate by putting active ingredients on it especially if you're not a medical professional or advised by one. I feel so terrible that they hurt my dog but I'm glad he's good now. Overall, not worth your money. read more

I had a horrible, completely terrifying experience with this business. My tiny dog got his skin sliced off by a groomer, one of the owners. they called me, said it was no big deal but the dog could need stitches and asked whether i wanted to take him to my vet or they could call a vet. I asked for a vet to come in to see him immediately, thinking this would be the quickest care for my poor baby. I drive over right away and when i get there, they are continuing his grooming as if nothing had happened. I asked about when the vet was coming and kept getting evasive answers... the vet was busy elsewhere, had been called, would be called, was going to call back etc... the wound was 2 inch on a three pound dog and he was really nervous, trying to get on me. I told them that considering the circumstances, without the vet coming, I would take him to the vet in that same mall. Walked him over for emergency care and got a really warm welcome (The Pet care clinic) and prompt care which included disinfecting, anesthesia, 6 (six!!) stiches, a cone to be kept on all week and 1 week of antibiotics to prevent infection plus a follow up visit to take the stiches out. Once we were done I walked over to the groomer (PETSPA) and spoke to both owners who again, gave me a number of different versions that went from them paying the bill, to them paying the partial bill, to them paying none of the bill and wanting to charge me not just the full amount of the grooming but get this, extra charge because it was so much work. That's when i got really upset and after giving them numerous chances to own up to their mistake and have the decency to at the very least pay for the costs of medical care. They basically both ganged up on me and refused to pay the bill. I walked out extremely hurt and disappointed that they would say it was ok, in their 10 years of experience, to make a poor animal wait for care until whenver the vet that they like could come v.s walk the poor pet over to a vet right in the same mall one minute away. I was really really shocked that people that are entrusted to care for our animals have such lack of regard for their suffering. Had they inflicted a 2 inch skin slice on a child, I doubt they would be defending their inaction so shamelessly. This has been a very stressful experience because while an accident can happen to anyone, I had been getting a very rushed and non caring vibe from them in prior visits. I should have followed my instinct and looked for a groomer that cares about the animals under their care. There is one additional comment about they dog daycare. upon visiting the facility the first time, i observed that they keep all nonspayed dogs in tiny little booths in the back where they can only observe, but not play with other dogs in daycare. Now I'm thinking, would an owner drop off his/her labrador to be kept in such a small confined space all day? I think not, I'm assuming that they can't possibly be aware. Imagine the pets looking on but not participating and have no room to move around barely? it just looked cruel to me, that should have been the first clue. They also have the daycare dogs in a small space with cement floor (or what appears to be a hard surface). Not what I would want for my dogs for sure. Anyway, i love animals and would hate for this to happen to anyone else. Again, any groomer can have an accident with a pet and as a pet owner I most certainly accept that even with the best of intentions, something like this can happen during grooming. What really traumatized me was that they thought it was no big deal, kept grooming the dog as if nothing had happened, belittled my concerns, kept saying this is something they have done this way for 10 years, defended their cruelty and lack of regard and did not pay for the medical care that directly resulted from a wound that they created. I sincerely hope that this doesn't happen to anyone and while I'm trying to move on from this horrible experience, I wanted to make sure to share it to avoid this happening to others. My dog is ok, all stiched up and with a cone on his head for a week plus twice a day antibiotics but so far ok. read more

I've always had great experiences here! As a former groomer, I understand the fees. Many owners are unaware of the knots that they have. Any reputable groomer charges for knot removal. Frankly, you do get what you pay for. If you want to have a cheap bath and haircut, defnitely go to Petsmart. Also, they make you sign a contract when you first sign your dog up. Maybe people need to start reading them. It's like going to a hair salon, you pay more for better and more detail oriented services. read more

When I pick him up his eye was completely closed and bruised as if got hit really bad, he's not only a pet he's family as I'm sure your pet may be to anyone reading this, please do yourself a favor and take them elsewhere!!! Excellent services. My dog is always excited to come to Petspa (which I've never seen before) thy are extremely reliable and knowledgable about pets. People who write is expensive are looking for subpar places.....if your looking for Petsmart prices then go to a Petsmart but rest assure the quality and love will NOT be the same. When Deimos comes in he's treated warmly with hugs and smiles. That said I will pay extra for the better quality. Petsmart doesn't hire individuals with education in animals. I love this place! It's the only place I trust for the care of my dog with special needs. I have taken my dog to Petspa for over 9 years. I have never had a negative experience with Petspa during the 9 years I have taken my dog, Fiona. Fiona is a rescue with a torn CCL who needs special care and attention. She is very fearful and must be supervised because of her limited mobility. Petspa is the only place I trust with Fiona's care. Despite Fiona's fearfulness of different places, Fiona loves going to Petspa for daycare and grooming. Since Fiona was a puppy she has felt at home in Petspa in Juan, Brett, and the staff at Petspa's care. The cost of grooming or daycare to me is worthwhile, because I have the peace of mind that Fiona is well taken care by professionals. Juan and Brett have been in the industry for over 20 years and Brett has a degree in Animal Science. The professionals at Petspa are passionate about their craft! I will never risk my pet's safety or wellbeing for cheap service. read more

I do not like this place. I am a first dog owner and took my dog a couple times because of a friends recommendation. I only gave 2 stars because I like the way they groom my dog and he always comes out looking super cute and fluffy. The issue with this place is they overcharge you. If your dog is prone to having knots, they will try and take as much money from you as possible. I took my dog once and had dropped him off with the groomer telling me it would be $20 extra to take out the knots (which I said was fine). When I returned to pick up my dog, they had bumped the price to $30 when they had already told me $20. This same day I had asked for a partial groom (thinking they were going to clean up his face and they didn't). I payed $56 for basically a bath and nail cutting which is RIDICULOUS because he still came back with a couple knots. Also, daycare at this place is very pricey for what it is. $20 per day but they are only open from 8am-5pm which is very inconvenient for someone who works a 9-5 job. There are more cons than pros about this place so I will not be taking my dog here again. There are places that do a better job with grooming and daycare and that charge reasonably. read more

My name is Brian. I have a 135 lb rottweiler named Charlie. I love my Charlie more than anything. I left him with Petspa Miami for 9 days because that was the quickest we could get him on a plane to fly him to where I was moving to. They picked him up from my inbound flight, boarded him for 9 days, then dropped him off for his connecting flight They made sure he was very comfortable in his big dog crate for the flight. I can't say enough good things about them. EVERY one of them were very kind to me. They kept an open line of communication and that was key. Also, Charlie and I were reunited with him smelling wonderful! His nails were also trimmed, which they didn't even charge me for! I was also very surprised at how inexpensive his stay was...which is amazing considering the treatment they gave him... and as a medical student, I have to save up to be poor!! You can tell these people love what they do. I hope to never be separated from Charlie for that long again, however, if I am, there is absolutely NO OTHER boarding service I would rather use. They do a hell of a job, and my Charlie and I appreciated every bit of it!! Thank you Petspa!! read more
