I walked into KUTEA A BOBA TEA expecting, well, boba ,and walked out wondering if I'd just stepped out of the cutest corner of a Studio Ghibli film. This place is adorable. From the cozy atmosphere to the whimsical decor, it's like a warm hug wrapped in cherry blossom trees! The drink menu? Not super overwhelming but I stared at it longer than I'd like to admit, frozen by delicious indecision. They have everything--fruit teas, milk teas, and even coffee drinks (because some of us need a little more than tapioca to get through the day). The real MVP though? The lady working that day. She was incredibly kind, super patient, and explained the ingredients like a boba sommelier. There were words on that menu I couldn't pronounce, let alone identify, and she walked me through it all without a hint of judgment KUTEA isn't just a super cute and cozy tea spot , it's an experience. They brought back che menu! Yay! But ... it's okay. I would say Bambu tastes better but since they're in lala land thìs place would do. Ordered 1) che ba màu. Or yes. Trí color dessert which means any 3 color but they sub taro instead of traditional mung bean. Not my favorite sub. 2) suong sao hot lưu. Much better than Che ba màu . The problem is if you're going to change up the traditional che menu then let the customer customize their che. If not just stick to the usual. They have a worker but you end up ordering at the kiosk anyways bc they're always in the back so you're stuck w the kiosk . The kiosk lets you add more toppings but not take out existing ones. So I was stuck w the taro instead of mung bean in my che ba màu. Not the best since taro is not my favorite. Overall it's an okay experience. Toppings can be a little more since it's close to $20 for 2 Che drinks. read more

Today I had a very bad experience with the kutea cashier. I was very disappointed. I asked for a watermelon boba and I don't know where I got the winter melon that I had ordered and very rude and assuring that I had ordered it and the other lady in a black blouse who was I just listened there and they both went inside and left me talking to myself and how am I going to bring something that I didn't ask for, I left it there and they can check the cameras, it's not my fault that she doesn't understand Thanks read more

I really liked my dragon fruit boba and the ordering process was quick and easy. There seemed to be just an endless amount of teas and other drinks on the menu which felt a little overwhelming. This was my first time here...overall good impressions. Wasn't too impressed with their mango milk tea boba drink. They don't add a lot of boba at the bottom. Then they only have 2 sizes and for two regular sized drinks it was close to $15. That's more on the expensive end. Also parking is crazy busy and you have to do a u-turn to get into the business. Service is nice. Friendly staff. Cute spot. But overall difficult parking and okay drinks with it being on the expensive side. read more

I love that their smoothies are made from fresh fruit! I come across town just to get the avocado boba. You can choose your sweetness level and customize your drink with many other additives and types of popping boba, lychee, to coconut jelly etc. Fresh sugar cane, and even the waffle was a great mochi texture with a crunch. Ube coconut latte tasted like nasty fake coffee powder. It actually tasted like plastic. As you can see in the photo it's a poo brown color. Every single Ube latte I've had Is a vibrant purple. Staff was rude and combative when I told her she gave me the wrong drink. One star for cute interior. I miss Bamboo. Not recommended at all. Stopped by to satisfy my sweet tooth! I was excited to try a new boba place, and it was pretty good! Service was great too. I was a little bummed they didn't have matcha milk tea, but I was happy to try the black tea instead. I was pleasantly surprised with the sweetness, it's not as sweet as other boba shops which I appreciated (others may not). We got 2 regular sized milk teas with boba for about $11. You can choose between regular and large. Their menu is limited but they also offer unique drinks like Ube Coconut Latte, Salted Coffee, and other coffee drinks I wish I had tried! This is a Vietnamese style boba shop so there are items on the menu that you won't find in other Taiwan based boba shops. If you are stumped, I recommend the sugarcane coconut drink. It does come in one size and it's a little over $7 for the drink so it is one of the more pricier items on the menu. However, it is worth it because it's delicious. It's not too sweet and the ice doesn't water it down. It's a refreshing drink. I'll need to return next time to try the pennywort and see if it's good. read more

I've once again had a bad experience when getting a drink on Sunday. The weekend seems to be a bad time to go in. The Thai iced tea never tastes the same, they need do train the employees better to follow a recipe. The quality control is not there, you ask them to remake the drink and the same drink comes out bc the tea they originally brewed was way too strong etc this used to be my favorite place to get a Thai iced tea but the consistency just isn't there read more

The ambiance is nice and I appreciated the fact that they had games available. My friends enjoyed their drinks especially their lychee jelly, however, I opted for their mixed yogurt drink and didn't find it all that particularly delicious. Perhaps it was just the amount of sugar in the drink, but I couldn't bring myself to finish more than half of it before I tossed it. Friends ordered the 3 colored Vietnamese dessert and claimed it was good. I felt weird eating a dessert out of a cup, lol. Instead, I ordered a "real" dessert - the pandan Mochi Waffle. It's a must try and a must-finish-on-the-spot kind of treat. Done just right, it was so crispy and airy on the outside, yet chewy in the middle due to the mochi flour used. The green color would make you think it might be matcha flavor, but it's better, pandan! I don't know how to explain this southeast Asian's tropical flavor, you just have to try it yourself. I love the fun atmosphere and vibe from this cafe. The dessert menu is front and center with cool Vietnamese desserts....but decided to try some of their drinks on my first visit instead. Order consisted of SUGARCANE JUICE W COCONUT, STRAWBERRY BANANA SMOOTHIE, PASSION FRUIT JUICE, and GREEN APPLE TEA. All were out of the ballpark amazing. The craft and nuance involved into the creation of the drinks was evident. The creaminess and consistency of the smoothie was perfection. You could taste all the notes of the fruit and sweetness level was not overpowering. Sugarcane juice was a fun chlorophyll green color with coconut meat floating inside. Passion fruit juice had the crunchy black seeds sitting at the bottom for a textural contrast - it was puckeringly sour at times but with deep earthy notes then a prolonged sweetness at the end! I last had Sugarcane juice in Singapore a month ago and is so happy to be able to drink them here in state. Tasty and addictive, so sad that I do not live close by so I could drink it here daily. This place offer just enough of variations on drinks, a little bit of everything for everyone. Sugarcane, yogurt drink and Vietnamese coffee are all my favorites.
