    Fabric is amazing.

Customer service is out of this world! The fabric and prints are top quality. Make sure to stop in when you want something special to wear!

The pieces at Kutula speak volumes. My lady and I had an incredible experience purchasing one of their works. Bo introduced us to the incredible woman behind the scene, and you could feel the love and pride of our rich culture and heritage. Both my lady and I have our roots in Nigeria and the West Indies, so seeing all the creativity, the color, and the energy was really inspiring. We also enjoy working with businesses that are clearly integrated in the community, which when speaking to Bo, is evident. She knows all the ends and outs of the communities and was able to refer us to another business that has the same level of quality in client services. Without a doubt, we plan on working with the Kutula Family for our future needs as we really enjoy working with bespoke work of their caliber.

Not really much to say. They treat you like family and always have you looking your best at an event. Never pressure you to buy anything either. It's all about what you want and will feel confident in. They care more about you loving what you will wear and feeling confident in it vs. making a quick buck. This store is a family owned business that's been here longer than I've been alive. What I love is every time I come in I see that they teach women how to wear their traditional head wraps and educate people about the fabric and the culture. Whether it's a party, celebration, wedding, red carpet, etc. if you're looking for traditional African attire this is the place to go. Their quality in the fabrics and attention to detail is unmatched. I've been to the other shops within a 100 mile radius and Kutula keeps me coming back because it's the little things that is paid attention to here vs. other places. You won't find any better in the area or California.

I had such an amazing experience at Kutula! The service was impeccable! I had a party to attend and Bo went out of her way to make sure I had a fab outfit. It was like having a personal stylist! She even helped tie and pin my headwrap so it looked perfect that evening! If you haven't been, GO! I will definitely be back!

This place is amazing!! Never have I felt more confident, sexy and absolutely beautiful than I did when I came here. Nyambo and her mother we not only helpful but so nice. The experience alone mad me feel like a Queen and the actual dress was just the icing on the cake. The dress below, I actually didn't buy (only because I have no where to wear it) but upon review, I have decided that I don't care and will be going back to buy it. Nyambo.... hold my dress... I coming for it!!

So many compliments on this skirt! Love it!

I absolutely loved my skirt! I went in looking for a skirt to wear for Black Panther, and for the summer time. Customer service was amazing, prints were gorgeous, store was awesome, just totally in love. The only thing that is keeping me from giving 5 stars, are the sizes definitely run all over the place. Still not that big of a deal, you will just have to continue to try everything already made( mind you, they make custom pieces, which is to live for), if you were in a crunch like I was. I will be back, I just know to make sure I custom order, which I have an idea for a summer brunch skirt! Thank you so much for all the help! Loved my skirt!

My husband's perfect Nigerian outfit for our wedding day.

I was completely stuck when trying to find a Nigerian outfit for my husband on our wedding day, in CALIFORNIA. Thank goodness for Kutula! A true dream team and we couldn't be happier. They helped our magical weekend wedding dreams come true with creating an outfit in short notice with such patience, responsiveness, and up to date with the most current and fabulous trends. We absolutely recommend them without hesitation! Thank you!

"Dress like yourself". This place is a gem and deserves long lasting attention for its fashion and connection for Pan-African people.

I had the best experience with this boutique I was styled for my maternity shoot and I absolutely loved the outfit we came up with and the advice on how to make it work on my preggo body for the shoot. I will definitely be coming back for more ready made and custom made pieces!!

I love my skirt with the head wrap. High fashion african attire. Very beautiful clothes. The designer is just as classy as she can be. She's dope.

We were able to try on the garments, which helped out immensely. Shopping online for garments made with pina and/or cocoon fibers can be tricky since they don't allow much stretch. Barongs are typically an investment. Luckily, one of the garments we purchased was on sale! Nina answered all our questions and couldn't have provided a better experience! I stopped by the salon to check my fit with Gabriel. The Mestizo provides regular updates on the custom tailoring and shipment. The fit and look more than exceed my expectations. When you walk down the center, there are only a few places open on the bottom and a few on the top. At least the places that are still open are closer together, but the emptiness is hard to miss. TJ Maxx feels like the only real anchor on one side. There is also Southern Girl Desserts and a few other shops, but you can really feel what is missing. There are no major anchor tenants anymore. Walmart has been gone for a long time. Sears is gone. It feels barren. It reminded me of a hair salon that only sees people by appointment, with no walk in traffic. There were almost no people just strolling the mall like in years past. Afro City Marketplace and Ninas and some of the other African American businesses were nice and doing their best. The problem is not with them. The mall itself just feels empty and struggling. Because of that, I have to give Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza 3 stars. It is okay, but very difficult to see it like this.
