I don't feel very comfortable with DIYing. I noticed a lot of scrap materials for building. I was curious about the cabinetry because I've been wanting some for a useless nook area in my house. Individual cabinets there run about $1500. Though the sticker shock really got us, I still wonder if that was the right price at all. I think new items at Home Depot cost less than that. They have a lot of merchandise, yes its a little pricey for what they get either at wholesale or from over the border, but it is a business and you are paying for the convenience of having it one location to shop for it. I love the Mexican style decor in this place. Lots to choose from. The customer service was Eghh when we first walked inside, but they nicely got friendlier at the end when we were paying. My only suggestion, the young guys wrapping ceramics with paper then placing in bag. You have to make sure fragile sides of a piece (i.e cats leg/paw stretched out) stays secure and should be upright in a bag and not long ways across, if you pack that way, then when the bag is picked up and handed to the customer the sides will be bent upward and snap a piece. Luckily, it was easily glued. So moral of the story customers, watch how the youngins pack your stuff and how they pick up the bags to hand to you. Don't do what I did and just assume it was logically packed.
