    Assortment of Rubber Duckies
    Ter L.

The cutest store and an absolute must go-to for all those rubber duck fanatics!! Nestled in the back corner of Pier 39, KWAK offers so many different variations of duck designs, you'd go mad attempting to count them all. Ducks of all sizes, themes, and colors are here for your picking- making this a prime spot for any announcement, celebration, or simply just to uplift someone's day. The minimum cost for one of these whimsical designs will set you back $12 [pre taxes] and can go up to about $30. There are an abundance to choose from, all ranging in costs. KWAK is definitely worth visiting as the unique designs are very entertaining. Who knows, you might just walk away with a purchase or two of your own. 4 stars!

You can find duck at many places in San Francisco. There are different places which offer ducks. It's still duck season in San Francisco . The duck season in California runs from October and stretches until January 28, 2026. There are so many people who enjoy duck. There is one place in San Francisco tourist trap at Pier 39 which specializes in all types of ducks and it's called KWAK. On a Holiday stroll on the boardwalk of Pier 39 in San Francisco you will find a store with ducks which are not edible. These ducks are made of rubber. KWAK is a duck theme store with all things duck ( no duck meat jerky inside). You will find lots rubber ducks which resembles lots of people in history and also current pop culture. Inside if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, then it's probably a duck in SF. They sell so many different types of "duck" so many decisions you might get "stuck"and "thunderstruck "with a duck cat which supposed to bring you "good luck" You find the duck store at Pier 39 boardwalk where you can grab a drink, food or a "snack" this store has also many holiday related "knick-knack"and this is on the boardwalk of Pier 39 away in the "back " and you will see a sign with a duck logo that says " KWAK"

Stumbled upon this gem! Awesome selection of ducks! Price was decent, could be less but what I would expect for the tourist location. I bought a duck and a KWAK t-shirt.

    A wall of ducks!

Opened in June 2023. Featured on California Live. There's a duck for everyone here, nearly 500 types of duckies. Whether your in the market for a funny gift, a cool souvenir or something to make you smile, swing by and pick one up! Adorable and funny ones here.

I started coming again now that I got into model kit building and painting and I have a totally new appreciation for this place. Due to the small size of the store, the selection is not comprehensive, but I always find very cool things every time I come in. I usually shop for gunpla, military model kits, game miniatures, and hobby supplies like paints and glues. I'm fine with paying a bit more to support a local store, but I'm always pleasantly shocked that prices here are either roughly the same as online or cheaper! I don't keep up with anime figure prices anymore so I can't tell you if the prices on those are as competitive. I can only vouch for the model kits/miniatures/supplies. The biggest downside is the place is super cramped, but in a way it's also somewhat of a plus because I can look around at the various stacked boxes and find lots of treasures. Plus the person behind the counter (think he's the owner?) is very nice and patient.

The store offers a variety of collectible/fun items at competitive and relatively low prices. They have a rotating and wide selection of figures from various franchises that other stores in the Japantown mall might not have, even the Kinokuniya. During my last visit (12/17/2025) in particular I remember they had a huge selection of Spy Family figures and many of the Project Sekai Sega Prize figures but they also carry other merch from many other franchises like JJBA, Love Live, and MHA. The store limits its capacity to six customers at a time but that's only because they have so much items in the store! The employees are very nice and help get the items you want quickly, every item I've purchased from here has been unopened and in perfect condition. Highly recommend this store

There are so many places you can visit in the city which have lots of activities especially during upcoming Summer months. Although there are few malls left in the city there is one place I like to go to for fun is the Japan Center Mall. There is one place for fun items and it's called iFun. On the last few days of Spring stroll in San Francisco I landed at the Japan Center Mall at iFun. Inside you will find blind toy boxes such as Lubu's and other animal creatures in SF. The glue is the texture of frosting and in fact you squeeze it out from a tube like frosting so it's part of the decoration. Every kid gets to choose 2 colors, and they can also share between them. There are some limits like you can only glue on one side of the mirror, because they will tape it down to a paper plate and you can't glue to the other side. There was no one doing the activity on a Sunday around 2pm, except they told us we had to come back in 30 minutes because they needed to clean. We came back in 30 minutes and there had be absolutely no cleaning done (it was the same disposable tablecloths that had glue stains, the same excess pieces on the table). It wasn't overly messy, but clearly they just wanted to go on break, why didn't they just say that? You take your finished craft with you, and it takes 3 days to fully drive, but within a few hours it was hard enough that no beads could be accidentally pushed off of the craft.
