Stopped by for an oil change and tire rotation. They are pretty busy so not real "Kwik" but otherwise good service. 4:30 pm when arrived and the waiting area had that horrible burned coffee smell. I turned off burner and the other customer thought maybe it had been on all day. Took about an hour for oil change and rotating tires. I drive a lot so do these services together about every 3 months. Usually takes about 30-45 minutes most places. Price was $66.44 which is better than most. Staff friendly. read more

A simple car reader is less than 30 bucks at an auto store/amazon/walmart and will tell you what the same problem they tell you it is. #3 Look up what is wrong with your vehicle, there is too much information out there for pricing of vehicle repairs. My wife and I have visited/been here a total of three times. Visit 1: I asked the guy working up front how much a basic oil change was and how many quarts of oil this covered. He couldn't answer the question. I asked if he was new, and he responded that he was not. After a few minutes of discussing the costs and what is covered with another guy outside, he came back inside and gave me some information. Visit 2: My wife and I dropped off our vehicles to get the oil changed. It took a few hours, but was initially uneventful. The next day I noticed oil dripping from both vehicles as we'll as oil on top of the engines. Specifically, I noticed that they had poured oil on the engines and not wiped them down. I crawled underneath both vehicles and noticed that they had drained the old oil and just left whatever leftover oil had spilled/drained on the undercarriage of the car. Overall, they just change the filters and poured in oil. No real customer service here...and they don't care about how much oil they leave on the car. Visit 3: My wife needed a quick oil change before Xmas (12/24). I didn't have time to change it myself, so she suggested this place again. I figured it would be ok since we already knew that they would make a mess, but at least do the job. I could clean their mess up later. It looks like I was wrong. My wife told the guys that she had some shopping to do and to take their time. She asked when they were closing and they said that they didn't have a set time today (12/24) and were trying to close up asap. Twenty minutes later, my wife got a call saying that it was done (which is quick for this place). We left for a day trip on the 26th and I noticed a 1/2 quart of oil under the car as we pulled away (the car had been sitting for two days). It was fresh oil, so I knew that it was from the filter or the drain plug...and it was way too much oil to be their usual lack of cleaning. I called and got no answer, which is not unusual for this location. Their shop is about 3 miles away, so I checked the oil to make sure I had enough to make it there to get them to check it. In short, they were closed. I went to Walmart Lube/Oil Change behind their store and the guy crawled under the vehicle and indicated that the drain plug was hand tightened and was leaking. Walmart tightened it up for me and I went in and bought replacement oil and a funnel. This could have turned out bad if I hadn't been paying attention and we had gotten stranded somewhere or blown the engine. I wouldn't recommend this place unless you want to take a gamble. read more

My wife had her oil changed here and they put a ford oil filter on her Chevy Traverse. The filters aren't universal, so oil leaked all over our driveway. This wasn't the first time oil leaked after getting her oil changed there. Other times were from a loose filter and pan plug. read more

DO NOT, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES, TAKE YOUR AUTOMOBILE TO KWIK KAR IN STILLWATER!!! They took over a week to install a single sensor. They never actually called me; I had to call them for status updates every step of the way and they had every excuse in the book for not getting it done. Also, the bill was nearly twice what I was originally quoted and the air conditioning unit (which worked just fine prior to taking my vehicle to Kwik Kar) did not work when I got finally got my vehicle back. This is the worst example of customer service I have ever encountered. STAY AWAY!!! read more

I have been using Kwik Kar to get my oil changed for awhile now, and recently I went in to get my brake light fixed. The guy was extremely nice and helped me figure out the cheapest way to get a part I needed. When the part came in I brought my car back up there and he fixed my light as soon as I pulled in. I had used this place for several years for oil changes and was always been pleased. It hasn't been the best place, but certainly not the worst until recently. They are always extremely professional and listen to anything I've observed to help speed the repair process up. I've often been recommended to source my own parts for some repairs, as they would say I would save more money that way. This is unlike other shops I've been to that quote you at the highest price for parts straight from dealerships/distributors. I always refer friends in town to them, as they service basically anything, and are quick to point out if something could be a potentially costly repair. They top off all your fluids and vacuum the front floorboards when doing oil changes. Sometimes there are lots of cars/people in line; go early. I got my current car from my folks and they used Kwik Kar for routine oil changes and maintenance. At least once I know there was a major problem in the heat of summer and they were professional and even told them that the price would be cheaper at Walmart. My folks rejected the Walmart idea, and the repair was made in record time even though parts had to be ordered. Since then I always get my oil changed there. They're always quick, professional, friendly, and they never make you feel like they're trying to oversell their products. They're knowledgeable about what my car may or may not need in the future without trying to convince me to bring it there. I especially love that I can run through really quickly to get the air in my tires checked. They don't ask if I'm a regular customer, they just smile and say sure, and five minutes later all tires are checked or aired up and I'm in my way without ever exiting my vehicle. We went to Kwik Kar Auto Care to get our tires aligned. However, we find out less than a month later our ball joint was lose and I had to get a very expensive tow. I was told that they should have caught this when they aligned our car. Please beware, not saying it is a horrible place but I wouldn't trust them again! read more
