They were BUSY, arrived early for my appointment, waited a little as I was in the car line but it wasn't a long wait. Great flow of service & the team has really got it together. Communication with each other AND the customers were a key factor in their efficiency. Well organized, inspection took maybe fifteen at most while I got to wait in my car. I came through on a weekday during the mid-day for an oil change and pulled right in and was serviced in no time! I had a tad bit of a wait while the car in front of me was pulling out. Inside the waiting room, they have complimentary bottled water in a mini fridge. They also have restrooms, a TV, and chairs to sit in while you wait for your vehicle. Within 10 minutes, my car was finished, and I paid and left the fine establishment happy. Il definitely be back in the future for more oil changes due to the friendly service driven staff and quality of the products. Unfortunately this is the only Kwik Kar I do not trust. Day 1 the coolant wasn't leaking then a day goes by and another person calls me to tell me that it is leaking and it's going to be another $700. I opted to not do it and do it myself but when I got the car back the cap on the radiator wasn't correctly put on and coolant was leaking everywhere. I called and they corrected it but I honestly would not take it to this Kwik Kar again. read more

Never take your car here . I took my truck here on Monday 1/20/2025 for a simple oil change and radiator flush. On Wednesday morning 1/22/2025 when I was driving to work my truck overheated, coolant everywhere and the engine is now severely damaged. I called the shop, they didn't provide any rent a car, no refund and basically said they are not responsible. My truck had no issues until I brought it there. All I wanted is them to make it right. I told them I was without a car and they basically didn't care or offer any assistance. I would never bash a company, but this is by far one of my worst experiences. I'm a hard working guy and all I wanted is them to do the right thing, so we could put this behind us, but clearly they are choosing to be dishonest unfortunately. read more

I have been coming to Kwik Kar of Mansfield for over 20 years for oil changes, air filters and inspections. I now own a 2024 Ford Maverick and a light came on letting me know it was time for an engine oil change. When I drove up [after 10am], they directed me where to park. I told them [1] about the oil change message, [2] could I see the oil for myself [which was still full and clear], and [3] other things I needed to know about the truck. Since it had only 6,730 miles on it, there was no need for a complete oil change, the oil message was recalibrated, and I was out the door in less than 15 minutes. Scotty took care of me and explained everything to my satisfaction. Even though I'm not living in Mansfield anymore, this is where I will always go due to the guys there who are courteous, helpful and answered all of my questions. read more

Went in for oil change and state inspection this afternoon. The techs for where a critter clogged up my AC vents impacting airflow. Great find. Also found out when I left that they didn't charge me for a part. I call back to rectify it over the phone and Chase, the manager, said it was on them and not worry about it since I'm a long time customer. Arrived on site 15 minutes after they opened. I requested an oil change and a tire rotation. initially, I went to a different kwik kar and they referred me here because they did not do tire rotations at that site. When I told the technician what I was here for, he told me that the mechanic was already tied up for the day and would not be able to do it whatsoever. I then advised him I was already somewhere else today and if he could verify where they actually do the rotations. He walked over to another gentleman spoke for a second and came back and told the the closest one was Waxahachie (45 minutes). Honestly really annoying how they always try to upsell you on the filter. I'm a young woman who takes care of her car and they literally tried to tell me "whoever changed your last cabin filter gave you the wrong size" it was "too small". BS. They tried to show me a clean new filter that was the wrong size because they thought I knew nothing, then shamed me for it. "A rock could get in there and cause thousands in damage". Seriously? You think that a 3+ month old filter would be pearly white?? I'm sick and tired of predatory oil change places. Every. Single. One. Including this one- don't fall for the upsell ladies. read more

Well, can't say this very often. I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I stopped by to get an oil change. Left my wife's car at the bay and went inside. Like usual the tech came in and asked for me to come outside. This usually means some kind of upscale. Air filter, fluid drain or some sort of service. Not this time. The tech showed me the oil and told me I had 1100 more miles before the oil needed to be changed. Said they would be happy to do it if I would like but it didn't need it. I told them thank you and have a nice day. I'll be back to this place when my wife drives the 1100 miles. read more

Just a friendly PSA before you go here... check under your hood and make sure all your Reservoir caps are on and not missing... somehow my power steering fluid reservoir cap came up missing, $30 to replace it and apparently my reservoir was contaminated... which was another service charge. Was told I would have to wait 20 minutes for a new cap to arrive..waited there for an hour and a half. Then somehow my drain plug was stripped and I needed to replace that also.... in the 10 years I had this vehicle I've never had so many problems all of a sudden appear. Went in for simple oil change, left they're almost 2 hours later spending $150...??? You be the judge. read more

Went there to try them out for inspection since they were close to where I live. I was told to park the car in the back and leave the keys HANGING ON THE DOOR! I wasn't comfortable leaving my keys hanging outside like that so I left the key in the glove compartment. Customers who came after me were serviced and left while it took 2 hours for me to get an inspection on my vehicle. They don't have a system of first in first out but depends on the technician who is servicing your car and how fast they work on your car. I must have had a sloth dressed up as technician that day who serviced my car. Also, one of the techs was wearing crocs. I don't think OSHA would be too happy with that. This was my first and last visit to this business. I am not spending 2 hours for safety inspection. read more

I guess it's time I write a review because I've been coming here since shortly after they opened in 2009. I came in here because I knew a member of the family who owned this location. That's enough to get me in the door because I love to support locally owned businesses but it isn't enough to keep me coming back. I've had several oil changes and inspections for both our vehicles here and I have always had fast & honest service. They always give me suggested additional services (trans flush, air filter, serpentine belt replacement, etc) but NEVER put on the hard sell. I'd like to add, for people with kids, that they have a small play table in the back waiting area that only occupies my ruffians for a few minutes but they are quiet tolerant of boys being boys though I rein them in myself for the other customers waiting. read more

Was told it would take 25 mins for my oil to be changed. Over 1.5 hours later the car still isn't ready. Meanwhile the guy walks as slow as a turtle getting from place to place and then blames it in whoever told me it was 25 mins and claims to be short staffed which I understand being short staffed. I own a business as well but be honest with people about the wait time as everyone time is valuable and maybe work in one thing at a time and not 4 peoples car at once and that would speed the time up. Went there for vehicle inspection and techs seem to be fascinated when in high end cars...put a/c on lowest setting and left car running while removing key. This caused the anti-theft function to disconnect the key from the push button car setup causing me to reset it. Won't be going there again. Idiots! read more

Updating this review about my earlier post in which I stated they recommend 3000 miles for oil changes regardless of what oil they put in the vehicle. Our maintenance light came on at 3000 miles because they changed the maintenance monitor to alert us at a fixed interval - 3000 miles - when the vehicle defaults to 5000 miles for fixed and starts at 7500 miles for flexible. This business practice is predatory, harmful to your wallet and to the environment. read more

I have to give these guys 5 stars. I had a bad experience at the Taylor's Inspection in Arlington (search my review there for details) came out to Mansfield and gave it a shot with Kwik Kar. Not only was there no problem with getting my inspection, I had only an approximate 10 -15 minute wait and the attendant who serviced my car actually apologized for the wait! I have been here before and have never had a problem but this particular experience sent me over the moon and I had to share it! Highly Recommend!! read more

I went in to get my headlight changed because the bulb burnt out. I had bought one at fix-it-yourself store but new cars nowadays are so complex, I didn't have the right tools to get in there and take my engine apart just to change a light bulb. Kwik Kar only charged me for labor and gave me credit for the part i had already bought and installed it. The customer service seemed very nice and I even had a nice encounter with the owner. I sat in the waiting room for more than an hr until they came out and told me that my car wouldn't start because my battery was dead. G-r-e-a-t! Well, I had that battery for less than a year and hadn't had any problems with it since I had it. Draw your own conclusions- but I ended up leaving with a new battery and $90 poorer than I had expected. read more

2 stars because I'm sure they do something right(Just don't know what that is). No employees wearing masks. Went there for an inspection. Was told my car failed due to tint on windshield. Asked for an explanation and was told that its illegal to have tint on front windshield. Told the employee he was wrong. Because it is clear tint which is perfectly legal. Instead of just letting me go on about my day employee held on to my keys while he told me all about different tickets I could get for the illegal tint that isn't on my windshield. Didn't care that my car didn't pass. What irritated me is that the employee didn't have a mask on and wanted to waste my time instead of just letting me leave. Went down the street to firestone and got it inspected with no hassle. Even mentioned what happened at Kwik Kar and they laughed at their ignorance. Wont be taking any of my vehicles back to Kwik Kar. In a declining economy due to pandemic you would think companies such as Kwik Kar would better educate their employees. read more

Went in to Kwik Kar to have the state inspection done on my truck. They met me as soon as I arrived at the shop and asked me what I needed. Once I explained what was required they had me move to the waiting area to look for my insurance details. I found the details on the app I have on my phone which they accepted when I showed them. About 10mins later they came back to say it was all done, it cost me about $25 which and I was back on the road again. What a pleasure, I will definitely used them again. read more

Grandson took his car in to see what the problem was with not starting, etc. They came back stating it needed a new electrical harness set up to cost $1600. Didn't sound right, so he had a friend's father to call (who knows a little about cars) and when the conversation went back & forth, found out, he really didn't need the work. So guess they figured a young teenager wouldn't know the difference and wanted his car back, could rope him in. Not the case. Will not go back to them for any repairs. read more

Last time I will use this location. I dropped my car off here for an oil change only. I get a call to approve the work, which I did. No charges were mentioned mind you, but I've had hundreds of oil changes in my life time and they typically run $25-$35. I go to pick up my car and the charge is almost $52. Really? They also said they vacuumed the front floor of the car, which they did not. They also said they checked my wiper blades, which they couldn't have, because if they did, they would have seen they were horrible and recommended that they be replaced. I have been going to Kwik Kar since they opened and Steve and his team have been great...BUT DONT FALL FOR THE FUEL INJECTOR FLUSH...as I did on my last visit. My Jeep Wrangler had been running great and I have never had any mechanical issues. On my last oil change at Kwik Kar they recommended (for the third time) that I get a fuel injector flush for around $100. The next day my check engine light came on. I took my Jeep back to Kwik Kar and they said to put better quality gas in the tank as the computer in the Jeep may be misreading the fuel injector cleaner and it should be fine. Two days later the check engine light came on again. Kwik Kar told me it was my catalytic converters. I ended up having both my catalytic converters replaced as well as my drivers side exhaust manifold replaced...they were all scorched due to high heat (Kwik Kar did not do the repair work). Come to find out that when a fuel injector flush takes place, the chemicals cause the engine to run at high temps during the flush and if the flush takes too long, it can cook/overheat/scorch your cat converters and your exhaust manifold...which is what happened to my Jeep. After the Jeep was fixed I stopped by Kwik Kar and while I did not point blame at them, I did tell them what had happened and asked for the owner to call me...and he never did. Don't fall for the fuel injector cleaning service as a $100 service could cost you $1100 in the end. read more

DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!!! They almost ruined my engine. I spent over 2700.00 on repairs here. I took it back and they refused to take responsibility to fix their mistakes. I was informed by two outside mechanics (not affiliated with Kwik Kar) that they did not repair my car correctly which almost ruined my engine. I tried numerous times to speak to the owner, Steve Cooper. He only goes to his office 4 times a month so it was impossible to speak to him. I began calling him in May 2019. I left messages with John (asst. manager) and Kyle (manager). I also went to the shop and gave them hand written notes asking for Steve to call me. I left my business card with the assistant manager and store manager that had my personal cell, work cell, and work email printed on the business card. Therefore Steve had 3 methods of communication to reach out to me. I made diligent efforts to rectify the situation in a fair and cordial manner. Unfortunately Steve chose to ignore these attempts until I threatened a lawsuit. Miraculously, two days later after I made this treat, Steve finally called me. It took from May 2019 to September 2019 for the owner to call me. I provided documentation and he is still refusing to take responsibility. Kwik Kar has caused surmountable damage to my car. They didn't repair my car, THEY MADE IT WORSE!!! The second mechanic who fixed my car correctly, provided documentation that Kwik Kar made numerous mistakes. He also stated that I am EXTREMELY lucky the motor wasn't permanently ruined. A lawsuit has been filed. I wouldn't give him any stars, but this review requires I give him at least one star. read more

BUYER BEWARE Lies and Cheaters! They tried to sell my daughter (Young woman with a child) an engine flush by telling her she only had 1/2 quart of oil in her pan and it was burnt oil at that. The employee Chris stated the same over the phone to me! Said she needed a higher quality filter also.
