I wish I could give them less than 1 star. I called them several times, and it goes straight to a voicemail that says they'll call me back... but they never have. No one ever answers the phone, and no one ever calls back. Have left multiple messages and NEVER received a call back. Seems like a terrible way to run a business. After multiple attempts to contact Kwik Key with no reply, I ended up calling Desert Lock Co, over on Yucca. A human answered the phone and they were able to handle my issue with no problems. I needed a reprogramming of my 2007 Honda Accord key fob as the original broke into pieces and the chip was missing. Not only did he come in a day ahead of scheduled because he had an opening but he did it while it was raining and hailing. As I handed him the key, he said he can give me a call when he was done so that I didn't have to be out in the rain as well. I headed back inside and before I knew it, He was done in 20m! Horrible experience, The post office recommended this place to me. I go under the impression that they are more knowledgeable than I am about mail box locks. First, the male clerk was nonchalant and presented careless. Then he gave me any hook and didn't give a damn it was a universal hook or not. Didn't even give me information on the hook after I showed a picture. He charged my card and made it final with out suggested methods to find out what hook I needed for the mailbox that I have. Very disappointed and I plan on letting the post office know that they should never send business to this place. Sad that I spent my money when I could've just went to Home Depot or Lowe's where good customer service matters. Will never shop there again, customer service sucks for sure. read more

Terrible customer. I called as an owner and mentioned my property manager and all he cared about was who is paying. Rather than the service involved. I used this company before and was not happy and thought I'd give another try but I was right the first time. I will take my business and my properties elsewhere. The first time I used them, they went to a property to rekey. They replaced the dead old which I did not ask and replaced with a cheaper deadbolt and the finish did not match what was there. We had them re-key 6 doors at our office, etc - they were on time and quick and everything worked flawlessly - and the price was fantastic. Then, i had heard they do transponder keys for push to start cars - (I only had one key so my ford dealer was full of red tape and bullshit and wanted to charge me $350 for the privilege)... I went to Kwik Key and they got me the key and programmed it for far, far less. It works flawlessly. They have a lot of neat stuff at their shop too. I went to my acupuncturist on Tuesday. He is located in a small commercial complex. There are about 12 parking spots in his parking lot. Three of them are for Handicap parking. When I arrived I noticed a Kwik Key van parked in one of the Handicap spots. Since there were no other spots available, I asked him to move his van as he was parked illegally. He said the complex manager said he could park there. I told him the manager didn't have the right under the law to allow him to park illegally. I waited and finally called the number on the truck. The gentleman that answered, said the same thing. The manager had instructed him to park there. I told him it was against the law to park in a Handicap parking spot without a placard or special license place for which I have both. The gentleman at Kwik Key said he would call and have Jake move his van. Well Jake took his time, finishing up paperwork, carrying on a conversation with the manager and walking into the managers office. I waited over 20 minutes for Jake to move out of the Handicap spot so I could park. I guess the laws don't apply to Kwik Key employees. You cannot park in a handicap spot without a placard or license plate. No one can authorize that. The manager was wrong and so was Jake and Kwik Key. read more

If I could give them no stars I would. My mother and I went in over a month ago to get a new key made for her 2015 Honda Accord. They told us we would have the key in a week. A week came and went. They called me after two weeks to advise that there had been some sort of delay and that they apologized but that they still didn't have the key. They failed to call me when they finally DID get the key in the only reason I found out was because I initiated the call and requested status. So we take the car in and the key and the key they ordered didn't work. So now it's been over a month. Their name does not suit them properly! There's nothing quick about the keys they make here. Very disappointed in this business. I have been a customer here for years and I understand COVID is making things worse, however, to not let a customer know what's going on after they paid you money to do a service, and then charge more afterwards is beyond ridiculous. I paid $180 dollars for a key and after not being contacted for a week because I needed them to come to my home. Then, after days of calling never mentioning any other fee, they come with an extra charge of 100$ and I never even got a clear explanation why because the owner refused to speak to me.
