This Kwik Trip has a duck machine. That's right, folks, A DUCK MACHINE! This is one of my most favorite "simple pleasures" in life. Who doesn't love a little plastic duck or dog or bird??!? Sure it costs $1 but you get to play until you win and I always enjoy a new little road trip companion. Also, they have an excellent selection of greeting cards, very clean bathrooms, all the KT food you know and love ;) If you are not in the mood for a grilled cheese sandwich, pothole pizza, or cheeseburger, Denny's is right there to satisfy your pallet. I think Charlie Berens has mentioned this in is skits or standups - but it is really is a uniquely Wisconsin experience. I stopped at this on the way to the Madison area and was not as impressed with this location. I didn't get the name of the little older woman checking out but she was not real friendly may lean towards rude. Had some good food options and store area was mostly clean.. The bathrooms were a little dingy with pee all over the women's toilets and men's restrooms were kinda gross also. Not the image that is usually seen with Kwik Trip, not what we're used to being from La Crosse area. read more

I couldn't be happier to give my 200th review to Kwik Trip. About twice a year I have to drive from Georgia to Minnesota and back. Most of the gas stations I stop at are all pretty much the same. Mostly clean, friendly and decent coffee. But there is one that stands out above all the rest. Kwik Trip is mostly in the state of Wisconsin and with stations along most major highways it's easy to find one. I won't stop at any other gas station when traveling through this state. Every single one is very clean, super friendly with very competitive gas prices. The store is amazing. Always clean bathrooms, full and fresh tasty coffee and a selection of pastries you won't find at any other gas station. The store has food and drink like no other. Aisles of fresh produce, and almost any grocery store item you might need. And the check out? Just wow. Multiple cashiers durning peak hours means you won't be standing in line more than a few seconds. I was so impressed I even spoke to the manager to let them know how well I liked their company and that they should expand all the way down to Georgia! Lol she smiled and said thank you. And the hot breakfast sandwiches and hot lunch sandwiches are very tasty and filling. My only regret is I didn't take enough photos. Trying to get back to Georgia as "Kwik" as possible. Lol. This is where to stay if you are driving a semi in WI! $8 showers, no chance of someone popping in on you, like at the big chain truck stops. A full grocery store inside with shockingly cheap dairy products. I know; it's WI. But $1.99 butter, cheese curds and sirloin steak? Yes, please! A make it yourself smoothie station, a full line of beer and alcohol, a Denny's inside (I didnt eat there, so I can't speak on that subject, other than to acknowledge its existence). Short walking distance to a wide variety of restaurants, parks, playgrounds, fishing and shopping of all kinds. Absolutely gigantic semi parking area; this is not the norm for Kwik Trips, and it's right down the road from one of those generic big chain truck stops, which keeps it appealingly empty most of the night. Easy access parking spots too, no need to back into most of them. You can do a 30, a 10 or even a reset here and never run out of interesting ways to spend money. Totally worth it! read more

To be clear, this is normally a great place to pick up a few things. This review is specifically about our most recent experience with the store. My mother stopped at the Kwik Trip this morning. She's a regular over there, stopping in several times a week. She was buying a slice of breakfast pizza for herself, a breakfast sandwich for me, a breakfast sandwich as a treat for her rescue dogs and a couple other food items. The cashier commented on the amount of stuff she was purchasing. Mom started to reply when the cashier continued "at your size, you probably shouldn't be eating all of that!" My mom has lived in this town for decades- there were people in line she knew that listened to this cashier call her fat. Mom asked her for Kwik Trip's corporate number- the cashier refused to provide it. My mother came home humiliated and sad/angry. How any place doing customer service could employ someone who'd behave like that is beyond me. read more

just stopped here to shower before heading back to washington! easy service, just walked up to the counter asking if I could purchase a shower. Its $8, they give you a key and let you know there are towels in the bathroom for you to use. this was also my first time using a shower at a stop. The bathroom/shower room itself was very clean! Unfortunately we dont have kwik trip's in washington but I would definitely come back to this one if I ever visit again! read more

First time coming here driving to Minneapolis for work. We needed gas. They have a wide variety of stuff for all your car truck basic needs. Stuff in the store is expensive and doesn't feature stuff that I truly like. I got overcharged for gas. I paid $30 bucks pre paid to fill up my car while I was in the store and came back I noticed it was almost $45 bucks. An associate ran out and demanded I pay the remaining balance. read more

A decent quick trip with the standard baked good, hot food, pizzas. Ive stopped here more than a dozen times. The traffic in and out of here and be a little hectic. I'm not sure why when a truck stop and Kwik Trip are together the bathrooms smell like smoke. For some reason people feel the need to smoke in the restrooms. Not that I have ever seen anyone doing it but I feel they do in the stalls. Just an ok KT. read more

If you've lived in Wisconsin for any amount of time you'll recognize this is as the gas station with the upturned semi truck for a highway sign. This is a slightly larger KT. The bathroom has several stalls and is clean as expected with their brand. There were a ton of baked goods, a hot foods station, and a large array of beverages. Outside the building KT has put up a sign pointing you in the correct direction to get back to the interstate; you can't come back the way you came when heading east so it was nice to know that before driving in a circle. Service came with a smile and we were in and out quickly. Can't ask for much more in a roadside stop. read more

This place is a truck stop in the middle of Wisconsin. It delivered exactly what we were looking for, non-fast food at a decent price. It is classic truck stop, gas station and convenience store attached. The staff was great, our waitress came just at the right times to give us anything we may have needed. The food was not spectacular, but the "breakfast all day" on the menu made it! A sure win with our crew. I skipped breakfast and went with a turkey melt and fries, it was good. Daughter had grilled cheese, my wife and son had eggs. Everything was good, at a reasonable price. As expected, the place was full of locals, my 12 year old commented "It looks like a nursing home puked in here".....hey, she's 12! All in all a good place to stop. SHOWERS! I have been on the road with my spouse for several weeks and we needed to shower. I am so sketched out about germs and touching nasty bathroom stuff BUT these showers were very clean. I used all of my own items (towels, shampoos, etc). I was actually quite pleased at this $8 shower that was much needed. Coming from a clean freak.... it was a great option. I always stop here as a halfway point when driving between Minneapolis and Chicago. The bathrooms are pretty much always clean, and there is a restaurant attached that serves some pretty cheap, typical, greasy diner food. I ate here once a number of years ago, and it was pretty unremarkable. It's good if you need a late meal and some rest time though. read more

This restaurant is no longer open. It has been renovated into a Denny's. AKA Hearty Platter. Decent food at a decent price. If you have the time, go here instead of ANY of the fast food restaurants in the area. McD's, Culver's, TB and Wendy's all have a tendency to serve sub-bar food with high probability of getting your order wrong. Seriously. Hearty Platter has better food at reasonable prices, plus they serve breakfast all day. If you want it fast, call your order in ahead of time. Chances are they have whatever you're craving, diner style. You can get an entire meal for the whole family for around $15 if you get the chicken or fish to go. read more

If you love Broasted Chicken this is the place!!! I am originally from Chicago and currently live in Minnesota and you will find NO better juicier chicken then here. The buffet is just what you are looking for when on the road. Only wish it was closer to get to we drive out there the 3 hours about 4 times a year for a treat.
