I had the chicken salad, and it was absolutely delicious--unique, with a few surprise ingredients and a sweet chili drizzle that completely made it. I'll definitely be stealing that idea for my own chicken salad. I also ordered the smoked turkey cranberry hoagie for later. When I asked if it would be possible to have the bread on the side so it wouldn't get soggy, the team at the counter went above and beyond, individually wrapping all of the ingredients so I could put together a fresh sandwich for dinner. Such thoughtful customer service. I couldn't leave without trying the toffee pretzel cookie, and wow... it was to die for. I shared it with a few of the other team parents, and the first question was whether you sell them by the dozen! This will absolutely be a repeat stop every year for this tournament, and probably several times throughout our stay in Mauston. So many local options. As we still had a few hours to go on our journey, I skipped the cheese (although it looked amazing) and chose some 'travel' beef sticks. So good. Lots of tables for seating. I found a some meats and cheeses in the wine building that has free samples of wine with a sign out front that said venison sausage and not knowing what they had I went in. WRM had a small section of game meat sausages with elk, venison and buffalo in various forms which I grabbed the venison sticks. The venison sticks were very good and reminded me of some that I had a year ago from a local deer processor which I liked but I could not buy because it was shared with me from a deer hunt, you can't buy it in the store. After tasting the first one I was saddened that I only bought one package because I had the last one today and it's all gone. I would definitely try more items from WRM when I come across them again and buy more items to take with me.

Service can be slow (by Milwaukee/city standards) but everything is served hot and to order. There is typically one waitress working too so keep that in mind. Cash payment is preferred and there is a small surcharge for credit card purchases. They have weekly bingo games and you seat yourself if you want to dine in. This is a breakfast / lunch spot as they are not open during dinner hours. Definitely worth a stop if you are in Adams County or camping at Roche-a-Cri state park nearby.
