Darren Miller is a God fearing man with a great family and law firm he built himself and worked hard to do it. He's got a lot of clients... The problem started when they actually got to work on my case. It was a super simple matter, no complications, no litigation, nothing. When I was just starting with them I made it extremely clear that I have a given budget and need to know if it is possible to get the matter solved within it. I was told, that if there wouldn't be any unforeseen complications (and there were NONE), the retainer will be enough to cover everything including litigation. Long story short, they have used 75% of the retainer just to CONFIRM that there are no complications (which was quite clear already, when I first talked to the owner). Reviewing invoices, I got an impression, that they get together to chat about your project just to get you charged the given month. At some point of my case they have concluded there is nothing that needs to be done for the next 4 months, but I continued getting invoices for them re-communicating this to each other (and other expensive nonsense). Very expensive experience of dealing with people who have little experience in my subject matter, but are too jealous to admit it early on.
