Kyle Plumbing in Deerfield Beach, Florida is top-notch, ESPECIALLY Nancy in the office! WHAT an experienced salesperson who really knows her STUFF! She patiently worked with us to make it happen with our water heater installation when we were desperate! This company is great. I called at 5pm and was able to get a 7am appt the next morning for a leaky toilet. Although the plumber showed up a few minutes late, he was able to fix the toilet within 45 minutes. I would not recommend this company. We had two stopped up showers and while the plumber was there, he acknowledged he could not get through one of the shower drain's traps. He instead used a vacuum and plunger which didn't seem to me like it would work, but it seemed to drain fine while he was there. We then went out of town for an extended time and once we returned, I noticed immediately that the shower is NOT draining and I'm back to nearly the same level of problem as before. I called today to ask the company what they could do and they said "nothing" since it was draining while the plumber was working on it and I didn't report the problem in 30 days. The office person didn't want to take into account the fact that we were not home and using the shower so how could we know it wasn't draining?? I will be calling a different plumber today and reading Yelp reviews carefully before selecting another. read more

Like Joan T. I never thought I'd be posting a negative review for Kyle Plumbing. A couple of years ago I used them they were phenomenal as well. But to do a simple job at my condo here in Deerfield Beach they sent out a dodo bird who was about the laziest worker I've seen in some time. Showed up at the end of the day, looked at the job and decided to make it appear a very complicated one despite its simplicity. Then after telling me I would be charged $110 for the visit anyway suggested I use him for another simple task. And then he proceeded to turn that one into a very complex one. Clearly at the end of the day he didn't want to work anymore. After calling and speaking with a manager, there was no budging on a charge for this lazy worker showing up to do nothing. About to remodel both of my bathrooms, I've decided to find some other company. read more

I used Kyle Plumbing in Deerfield Beach for a toilet backup. The technician returned my call promptly and arrived in less than an hour. He explained on the phone that since it was Saturday, overtime rates would apply. It was nice to know that up front but when your toilet is stopped up, you just hope someone competent shows up quickly. Fortunately, I was not disappointed. Pete, our technician, was courteous and careful. He quickly diagnosed the problem as a tree root that infiltrated the drain pipe. This required removing the toilet to get at the root. He cleared the line, replaced the flange and seal, and confirmed everything was working. He thoroughly cleaned up the mess and was done in 90 minutes. Not a minute of wasted time. He applied an online discount coupon I found and the final bill was fair and reasonable. I would recommend Kyle Plumbing. read more

Went to Yelp (who else!) and the Better Business Bureau to find a plumber to install a garbage disposal. Kyle got good reviews and I made an appointment for a 10-12noon timeframe. In addition to the garbage disposal I wanted a toilet seat installed as I could not get the old one off and 2 shower heads replaced. Received a call on the morning of the appointment and was asked if they can come earlier, my response: OF COURSE!!! Andrew did a great job on all as well as me asking a few questions plumbing related questions. Definitely would recommend them. read more

Kyle plumbing is incompetent and deserves NO Stars. After sending pictures of the kitchen sink (top & bottom) they arrived several days later with the promise from the company that no preliminary review of the job was required. After 2 hours my sink was gone and so was the plumber. They demanded a check for over $300 from my daughter and informed her that they cannot fit the new sink and I need to find another plumber. Their office was called only to be told that they have no one available to help us. It took over one week to schedule a new plumber and my cost exceeded $1,000.00 due to the Christmas Holidays. What type of company leaves a customer with a hole in place of a functioning kitchen sink, and then charges for their incompetence and your inconvenience. I will never recommend this company and suggest everyone to reconsider using Kyle Plumbing unless you enjoy aggravation and being charged for incompetent work. I placed a stop payment on the check and I have not received any correspondence to date. So far, that is the only redeeming quality of Kyle Plumbing. They knew they were wrong. I've used Kyle for 2 of my properties and had good service. My recent plumbing job will be my last with this company due to being overcharged and refusal to disclose pricing breakdown of parts and labor! I had a new garbage disposal installed for $269 and after found out Badger 5 disposal costs $80 at Home Depot so they charged me $180 labor for 30 min job? I called the manager to get explanation of breakdown of parts and labor but she refused. My advice is to buy your disposal on your own and call a plumber to install. My fault for trusting any business, especially a plumber, to get best deal. But I trusted this company and I am buying a 3rd property soon but will not be calling Kyle for plumbing needs. Any company that will not disclose pricing on parts and labor is a fraud! BC read more

Fortunately, I seldom need plumbers, but on the few occasions I have, I've used and recommended Kyle Plumbing since 2000. Never again, after my recent experience. I called Kyle Plumbing on Saturday morning to fix a bathroom sink. Their answering service took my message and I was called back on Monday. I was told Kyle charges $95 for the first 45 minutes plus $47 for each additional 30 minutes + parts and a $5 service call fee. They said the earliest they could come would be on Thursday. I made an appointment for them to come to my home between 2 PM and 4 PM on Thursday. I cleared my schedule for that time, locked up my pets, and waited for the plumber to show up. And waited. And waited. By 4:30, I decided to call Kyle Plumbing since I had plans for that evening. Had I not called, I might still be waiting, because they certainly weren't going to call to tell me they weren't showing up. After being put on hold, I was told they'd had another customer -- a restaurant -- call with an issue and the plumber was still there. She asked, did I still want the plumber to come later that evening or did I want to reschedule the appointment they'd missed? Before I could answer, she placed me on hold. While I remained on hold, I got in my car, drove to the grocery store, and bought my dinner, hanging up when I reached the checkout lane. For a business that bills by the portion of an hour, they showed no respect for the value of the customer's time. Let's review everything Kyle Plumbing did wrong from a business standpoint: 1. They failed to notify the customer that the plumber was running late. The moment they chose to place another customer ahead of the scheduled appointment, they should have contacted the scheduled customer and that was the time to ask if the customer still wanted the plumber to come later or reschedule, not after the appointment had already been missed. (One could say bumping a scheduled customer to take in a new job is also wrong - but we all know a business is unlikely to turn down an opportunity to make money and maybe it was an emergency - although there are other plumbers the restaurant could use). 2. They failed to notify the customer that they'd be unable to keep their scheduled appointment. If you're unable to keep your appointment with your dentist or hairstylist, you call ahead to cancel or reschedule the appointment. It's simple courtesy, it's proper business etiquette, and it's important because the other party's time is equally valuable as yours and they'll not be happy wasting it twiddling their thumbs waiting for you to show up. Kyle Plumbing's message was clear: Our time is so valuable that we charge by the fraction of the hour, but we don't value your time at all. 3. They failed to contact the customer at all, even after missing the appointment. Only when the customer called them did they acknowledge their error and apologize. Again the message was clear: We don't respect you as a customer. 4. When contacted by the customer, their excuse was they had missed the appointment because they chose to put a larger, commercial customer ahead of the previously scheduled residential customer (presumably because they could charge more for commercial job). Kyle Plumbing's message was clear: All customers are not treated equally and if a bigger job comes in, we'll throw you under the bus - even if you've been a loyal customer, scheduled an appointment, and waited five days. 5. Never put an aggrieved customer on hold -- twice in one phone call -- when the customer has called in about your error and you have already compounded the error with a previous communication failure. And if you do place the customer on hold, don't let the customer remain on hold for more than five minutes without speaking to the customer, even if only to say, "Please continue to hold, we'll be right back." 6. Show some respect for the customer's time and loyalty. If your business has made multiple mistakes, then acknowledge them and offer to make up for them. At the very least, offer to discount the service call by the amount of the customer's time you have wasted. If a menu item is unpalatable, a restaurant will take the charge off the bill, offer a discount or coupon toward a future meal, or even comp the present meal, all to show it values the customer and its business relationship with the customer, is acknowledging it screwed up, and wants to make up for its mistake and the inconvenience it's caused its customer. In summary, show up for appointments; call if running late or unable to keep an appointment; respect your customer's time as much as you do your own; don't wait for the customer to call you about your error; and when you screw up, don't blow off the customer but instead go out of your way to make amends and show you appreciate the customer's patronage. These are simple business basics, and if you can't follow them then your customers will find a proper business that can. read more

After calling them to express our dissatisfaction over the price, they kept trying to explain the pricing but it doesn't make sense. They did not try to help us in any way. Kyle Plumbing. Where do I begin? They sent a technician who took a very long time to rebuild the mechanism in the tank. I asked what was taking so long (4 hours). He said, I'm having trouble with this "shank" A week after he left, the toilet was leaking profusely. i called a different pluming company who found the shank was broken and had been put together with plumber's putty. At further expense I had the toilet rebuilt including a new shank. I called Kyle plumbing and spoke to the owner who asked me to document it with pictures. I was out of patience and time. The fact is, it never should have been "repaired" the way it was. the company is a facade for hack plumbers who have no idea what they are doing. They will hire anyone. That's my honest impression. i will never hire this company again. While I realize this may have been a "one time thing" and "any company can make a mistake" I also realize that it was the one time I hired them. Thus, I'm done. If you wish to hire them, be my guest. We have used Kyle Plumbing numerous times with mixed results. It depended on which plumber they sent. I had good bathroom vanity and plumbing installs and another which was redone a few times. Recently we called to have a leak on the hose of my pullout kitchen nozzle. I spoke with Nancy and explained the issue and offered to send a picture of the hose and leak. She saud it wasn't necessary. When Andrew arrived he said he could not repair it even temporarily without the part was here 7 minutes and handed me a bill for $100. I called to tell them nothing was done. They said that's their policy. I told them I sm not paying since I had told them the ussue and offered a picture. Their websute says they guarantee satisfaction. Todsy when I called to tell them I had received the part they said they would cone in a month because we refused to oay 100 dollars for absolutely no satisfaction or repair. I asked for Kirk Kyle the owner to call. Instead Nancy called back and said the owner said to find another comoany. We paid hundreds to them and this is how We were treated? Money is their only concern and we are certainly upset over our treatment. Find a different company if you want true satisfaction and service!! read more
