There was plenty of parking. I was directed through text to "check-in" online once I arrived on site and given a QR code to scan at the kiosk for my ticket number. When it was my turn, my ticket number appeared on the screen in the front of the room and I was also texted. Once I went to the window, I showed the necessary documents to the employee, she gave me a receipt and was told I would get my new social security card in 2 weeks. I was out in less than 5 minutes. I have been trying since the beginning of this year to get what should be simple documentation processed, and after multiple attempts, I still have not been able to get the help or resolution I need. Today, September 9, 2026, at approximately 9:57 AM, I specifically asked to speak with a supervisor because the issue has been going on for months. Instead of contacting the supervisor or explaining a clear process for speaking with one, I was repeatedly denied the opportunity. I even asked what I needed to do in order to speak with the supervisor, and they still would not call or notify the supervisor that I was requesting assistance. What made the experience even worse was the security guard on site today. The interaction was extremely rude and disrespectful at a time when I was simply trying to get assistance with an issue that has remained unresolved for most of the year. It is unacceptable that someone can spend months trying to resolve a documentation issue and still be unable to get meaningful assistance or even speak with a supervisor after specifically requesting one. People come to the Social Security Administration because they need help with important matters, and they deserve to be treated respectfully and given clear answers. This has been one of the most frustrating experiences I have had with a government office. I hope management at the Concord location reviews how situations like this are being handled and takes these complaints seriously.

This after they had sent it to a collection agency and I had been forced to pay it. (See other Yelper who, like me, had received a collections notice WITHOUT a prior bill.) I received a bill two years ago, called Fire department billing office explaining ambulance had refused to take me to John Muir, (in our county and the only hospital on my insurance) and was assured it would be taken care of. Then suddenly a collections agency contacted me. But thankfully, we have Yelp where us patients can finally be heard. Thank you, Yelp! PS I will modify or remove my reviews WHEN the CCC Fire Department changes their unfair and illegal billing practices.

But turns out Rafael told me that I needed more verified documents like my child's report card showing the date of her birth and name since I did not have a student ID card. At first, I was a bit irritated because when I made the appointment, the gentleman (who I made the appointment with last time) didn't tell me I needed a specific documents and what I had on hand, he said it would be fine. But thankfully, Rafael was nice enough to explain what I needed and if I come back to him, then he would try to squeeze me in. And I told him, I'm going to go home right now and come back within 20 minutes. When I got back the security officer, Corbin was really chill and friendly. I can tell by his aura that he's a cool dude and I'm glad he's working there because I think he brings happiness in that environment with his vibe. Anyways, Raphaël saw me & signaled me to go to the window. I gave him everything I found that he asked for, and the process went smoothly. I really appreciate him because he turned my irritation into satisfaction. I'm glad I handled business because now I don't have to worry about it. And for those that go stand in line in the morning, very early to get a ticket, you don't have to do that anymore because there's a QR code on the front door where you scan with your phone and your automatic in the queue. All you have to do when they open: you scan the barcode and you get your ticket, real simple and easy. Anyways, this location was chill and the workers were cool. All I gotta say is be nice and appreciative and you'll have a great day doing things you don't want to do, lol.

He said they were short-staffed. I replied that perhaps they should at least advertise that people need to call ahead, instead of wasting the public's time and their staff's time. I then told the clerk I wanted to wait for a manager to discuss the inefficiencies. After another 10 minutes with no response, I left. This office is beyond ridiculous

One of their most famous attractions is the Concord Pavilion, which was the reason for our visit. They have really nice residential areas, shopping centers, and many restaurants. We stopped by the Vineyard shopping center for dinner and a little shopping. We loved all the establishments we visited. It was really hot when we were here. The high was 95 degrees. But luckily it cooled down as the sun went down.
