When you get there the loud speaker announcement states they have appointments available within 5 days. I almost laughed because it's wildly inaccurate. I'd booked an appointment a few days before for the first one available - almost 3 weeks out. Even if you go by business days, it's not close to being accurate. Currently they'll let you sign in, get a number, wait for 30 minutes, then call your number, and at your window you'll be told to make an appointment and they'll refuse to help you further. It's absolutely bonkers and I've never seen anything like it. After I was told I could wait an additional 3-4 hours for the possibility of speaking with someone, I asked if like the DMV they could text me when someone can speak with me. No. No, they don't do that either. I left. I will say I ended up googling and found a great thread that talked about the different processes people have used to get into their non-working SSA accounts. I tried a few of them and was finally able to log in via IDme on an incognito window so I could download a statement of my account, which solved about half of what I needed. Overall, it was a pretty awful and extremely inefficient experience all around. Definitely would not recommend.

I received a bill two years ago, called Fire department billing office explaining ambulance had refused to take me to John Muir, (in our county and the only hospital on my insurance) and was assured it would be taken care of. Then suddenly a collections agency contacted me. But thankfully, we have Yelp where us patients can finally be heard. Thank you, Yelp! It was his alarm company letting him know his office/warehouse the alarm was triggered. Then it was Concord PD. We jumped in the truck and headed there ( 5 minutes from home ). When we arrived there were 6 officers. A truck was still running with out keys. Trailers with spools of copper wire had been gone threw and 2 inside doors and one of the large roll up doors had been pried open. They assumed that people could still be in the building hiding. We watched as they searched everything top to bottom. Then my husband walked through with them for the report. I stayed across the street. My husband enjoyed laughing with them ( considering the situation ) and I guess they joked about the stress relieving funny things in James office like his F U button and his screaming goat. They were even sticking around to wait for camera footage so they could further scope the area and find these idiots. I know sometimes cops get a bad rap. But I am here to tell you today they came through with flying colors. Thank you.
